I've been using the app for about 4 weeks, sending my 10 likes every day and making a point to always comment (usually on prompt responses) to send a message that I'm interested, even went as far as to use the rose feature when I come across a profile that really compels me (the kind of girls that I not only find cute, but something about their profile is getting me saying "YES I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO DATE YOU!"), and I have yet to get a single response. I've taken a lot of measures to update my profile. I've taken new pictures that I think I look decent in (which wasn't easy given how I'm not exactly in love with how I look) and reworked my prompts to sound less over-sharey but still trying to get a point across of the kind of person I am and the kind of stuff I enjoy (mostly music related). It feels really demoralizing not getting any results which leads me to question if I'm doing something wrong. If there's any input you can give, I'd greatly appreciate it.

What I dont understand is that when I first got on Hidge it would regularly bring me new matches and likes. Then I deleted the account came back and at first I only got 2 likes and since then like nothing nada. And yes I pretty much do all of these and I'd say I have a pretty good profile.
I've tried so many guides online and tips other places. I have TRIED MY BEST to get solid photos and it's been a challenge. I make unique prompts and i message as many women as i can per day (the ones that i like of course) and I'm getting nowhere. Am i just not attractive? Boring? Or maybe i should pay? I have no idea.. Also meeting in person is impossible. As a man, it seems like it's frowned upon to approach random women so i don't do it. I'm afraid of being seen as a "creep"

That's a slight turn off for me, because there's no greater chance she has a highly attractive self, and what's inside is what turns me on or off with the outside being secondary. Also, I find supposed "flaws" to often be a big turn on. Match those "inperfections" with a fantastic personality, and wow.

Would you think this is a case where women get so overwhelmed with attention that they find the activity draining? Do you think it's better to only have in-person interactions? At least feedback wise it is MUCH better. This creates a gigantic dissonance in me, since the last time I used dating apps in 2016, a couple of weeks of usage would give me months worth of dates. Not sure if post-covid there was an online dating burnout.

Great question! Match has been flagged repeatedly for hiring people to message users so they keep paying for the membership. So unethical business practices. That said, I have a small amount of clients who have had success on match. eHarmony, sadly just cannot compete with the market. They can’t attract the number of users the newer apps attract. Women who have to pay to use the app, aren’t likely to be the ones you want either. I haven’t seen any success from any clients in at least the last 5 years of coaching on eharmony. Save your money there.
