These days the Dark Wolf Ultra is much much better. They updated/changed the braking system in June and it's amazing. The very best DWU clone out of the 4 is the Soloking Acura. That one has worm gear bearing and the tolerances are the best of the 4.
I've been anxiously waiting for this video. The last few days were spent patiently wondering when you would post, and I must say it did not disappoint!! That's an awesome collection, to say the least. I personally own 25 bfs reels, and it appears you're well ahead of that. Looking forward to the upcoming battles. In addition, I would love to see your opinion on more bfs rods or a closer look at rods we haven't seen much of on your channel that you own.
Great vid brother. Lmk next time you are in the Tampa Bay area brother. I'll show you some fishing spots that will produce. Test your gear. Have a Happy New Year bro
Just rewatch this video and it brings back memories the old purple PW 100 was probably my first aliexpress reel that maybe go oh this thing is good as any of my JDM stuff and I actually liked my haibo steed as me curious if you shouldn't try those thin magnets like the Dark Wolf Ultra and black knight 2 need try them on the Halo speed see if we can slide some into get the magnet closer to the spool if that would work
Finally! I think we would all enjoy a super long video with all reels. I also know you like Shimano and you are missing one of their best parts, their spinning reels (you have explained before why, just making conversation). I've been really tempted to try a new Conquest after watching some older videos...
I have a lefty Daiwa SilverCreek Presso Baitcast that I bought in 2008 and have never used yet because I've never found the right rod for it. Just this week though, I found a Daiwa rod that might be perfect for it.
What an awesome video! You took me back in history with all your reels. I started out with the XF50 from watching you and BCSG Fishing to owning 14 Bfs sets of rods and reels. Still on the hunt for that perfect rod though. 😁 Keep them coming, I know a lot of up and coming bfser's are depending on you for advice. 👍
Awesome video and definitely one to refer back to ... I've had almost all those except for the older Aldebarans.. I was a pure Daiwa guy back then using alphas and pixys I did have an ss air and ktf pixy that were probably my best stock Daiwa bfs reels but the ito ai I had with cosugi spool and Megabass Zonda with Megabass hedgehog shallow spool were my favorite from back then
did you ever try tricks to pixie or air to make it bfs friendly? I have two Sols and love them. Been wanting to dress them up and try different bearings.
I wasn't impressed either alpha's air but my favorite spool for an alpha's back then was the cosugi spool... .. but my favorite bfs Daiwa reel to date would be the alpha's air stream custom... Then probably the silver creek then Gekkabijin... Now for the Sol which is basically a US alpha's I'd look for a cosugi or megabass hedgehog studio spool.. Honestly though unless you're a Daiwa die Hard I'd just put ceramic bearings in it if you don't mind the extra noise and just use the stock spool for all around finesse or light bait and get either a Dark Wolf Ultra or one of it's variants from AliExpress for UL bfs...
Wow just amazing Arsenal but why so many lol? I save so I can try to get the best Quality I can for the Bread and would love to one day get a nice Shimano Reel. Cool Video my Friend
Great review! Will there be more experiments with Core 50? I have a problem now with Aldebaran mg, which is almost the same with Core. And the problem there is that baits weighing 4 grams fly 15-20 meters, which is not very good. I don’t know what to do: sell aldebaran and buy curado bfs look for the lightest Avail spool and Hedgehog bfs bearings?
Very good video! I’ve got a question for you that I’d rather ask offline. I’d like your insight to a couple of things about the BFS reels. Can I email you with my questions?
All these reels look brand new you take really good care of your fishing tackle lol if I were spending $65 and you had to buy one which for a first time bfs ?
Great collection brother. I recently bought a kastking valiant eagle BFS . Have you used this reel yet ? I am a Aldebaran mgl 50 man but the spool on the kastking spool on the valiant eagle forced me to impulse buy . lol
Great video! Do you have a bfs rod arsenal video in the near future? I'm sure I'm not your only listener that would be interested in knowing what your take is on different rods, and what their capabilities are.
Very good overview of BFS market watched a couple of times. I am thinking to acquire Curado BFS for the riverbank fishing, where I am using 3.8-8g crankbaits and 5-12g minnows. Mainly lure weights are 5 to 10g, with the occasional 12-14g lures. I would really appreciate your advice, does it make sense to use Curado BFS for this purpose, will it handle 10-14g. wights
Hi, am I right in thinking that all the reels you reviewed are RH versions? If so how easy is it to get them in the States? Here in the UK they are very difficult to find; so much so that I'm seriously thinking of becoming ambidextrous.
Love the video! I'm new to BFS but looking for a good caster for Trout spins and spoons in the 1/16-1/4 oz. I'm sick of the line twist on my spinner's. I do prefer Shimano! I was looking at the Curado BFS, Alderbaran 50mgl, Curado 70mgl or the SLX 70 mgl. I would appreciate your input.
@@besong6420 I've been using TangleFree, and purchased KVD line and lure conditioner and Reelsnot but haven't tried them yet but I'll try anti Kink if you think it will help. Where can I find it? Thank's for the input.
Hi ! Hi like to thanks you very much for this video since I'm pretty a newbie in bfs ,(and baitcaster too) since the last 2 year I'm been reducing the size of my lure at the point where I hear about BFS world, been doing my research to enter the game but with 2 kid and limited budgets ,I'm turning on aliexpress, and this video my friend help me (find my way) through all the market out there . This video shows some of budget bfs reels from the ali express but my personal fav haven't on the list ☹ My opinion and experience it worth to try Seaknights Redfox bfs. I used this reel more than one year and i like it so much! I can find setup on this reel to my all different rods. I recommed to you 😉

Awesome video man! Delighted all the time. God bless you! Could you help me with an opinion please? I need a power bfs reel for a 7'2" ML med fast rod. Want to cast 7-10g minnows and 7-12g saltwater jigs. I'm looking for max distance. Should I go with a mag break or chose a centrifugal break? I was thinking about the 12 adle bfs. Or alde 50/30? I thought about curado 71 too maybe? I really need an opinion from someone like you who tests reels for distance casting. Thank you!
I dont know your budget but for those weights and what you are throwing, forget the "BFS" reels and get an MGL reel like the SLX or Curado 70, or even a JDM Metanium if you can swing it
@@THEREELTEST thanks man! I think I’ll go with the curado. Budget is not an issue but I won’t fish it that often and I’ll use it in saltwater too. For bfs I have the aldebaran with cq gears.
