I think it made the ceremony that much more heartfelt. It was more then just a country loosing it's queen, there was a family who lost their matriarch. She was more then just a monarch. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin, godmother, and friend to so so many. And to see them there in her honor of all ages is a testament to the true love and family connection she held dear throughout her life.
Isn't Prince George amazing. Such a beautiful Prince who lived his granny. He might shed a tear but he will understand in time he was grandson to the most important woman in the world. God bless our royal family with the love and strength they now need.
When my dad died, my closest friend said to me "The funeral will be the hardest day" I didn't understand until I arrived home, everyone was gone, the quietness set in and it was then that I fully understood what she meant. There's a reason why, when someone passes, everything is done so quickly. No time to think, through the shock and confusion. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. No greater lessons can be learned from loss.
Same here the day we buried her in the morning I was just going through the motion. My family lives all the over the world. It took 2 weeks to bring everyone to the states. My grandmother was the family grandmother. On weekends I would clean and watered and plant flowers with my grandmother in her beautiful garden. The day we buried her on Saturday morning, I was just going through the motion. Honestly, the reality hit me hard that evening after we were alone looking at her garden and realized she is no longer there. I wouldn't be in her garden with her working and chatting. It's been 10yrs but I still miss chatting with her, I tell her everything she never judge me. She helped me figured out some much on those weekends. Looking back on it now she was not just my grandmother but the best counselor I ever had ❤
My heart went out to the whole family. What an exhausting day in fact 10 days. The emotions and the walking and walking and more walking and every minute in the public eye with hearts aching with the loss of a mother and grandmother. The Queen is very proud of them .

I think Sarah Ferguson had maintained a friendship with the Queen despite her divorce from Andrew. Apparently she regularly met her to walk the dogs, and she’s taking in two of the Queen’s four dogs - the two corgis, as Sarah has corgis as well.
I thought at first that they were a wee bit young but since they seen their gran almost every day they would be missing her, it made more sense to include them so they could understand what was going on and says their last goodbyes
They are very lucky children, because they have sensible supportive parents, who I am sure, will have prepared them well and supported them throughout.
It’s important for children to attend funerals of close family, when I was a similar age my grandfather died aged only 54. Although we were very close I didn’t get to see him in hospital or attend the funeral because the adults thought they were protecting me. So one day he was just gone. Even now in my 50s I still wish I’d had the opportunity to say goodbye.

Bless George and Charlotte what beautifully behaved children they are . They done their GanGan proud. And Charlotte reminds of a young Princess Anne with how she guides George. We saw it today when she lent in to impart something about what was happening. And we saw it at the jubilee when she gave him a quick nudge to straighten up for the anthem. And bless the Queen she spotted it and had a wry smile. I wondered if she saw shades of Ann and Charles when they where small.
She is not only mourned by those in her home country and the Commonwealth, many of us in the United States mourn her passing with respect and admiration.

Exactly! The nerve of bullying adults to be on the attack of two young children! Disgusting! They are beautifully brought up! Well done to both of them and their parents! HMTQ would be SO VERY PROUD of you both, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.❤️❤️
@@lubnah3521 I'm sorry for the loss of life in Poland. The Polish Cavalry charged into battle against tanks in WWII, Lancers and Grenadiers. Admirable and Valiant! Then the Polish people endured the Nazi and Soviet regimes of oppression and servitude. The sacrifice of Poland shall not be forgotten. The political climate of that era is woefully susceptible to criticism and controversy. Let's not dwell on the past but look forward to the future. Walk down Embassy row in Warsaw. Ideas are being exchanged, by the multitude of Embassies.
This Brit-American watched it from beginning to end! A gorgeous ceremony to honor a great queen and her 70 year reign! Bagpipes always stir the Scottish and Irish in me as well. Princess Charlotte and Prince George were the epitome of well brought up children! May the Queen rest in peace~ "God Save the King"❤💙🍺🌈 Cheers!
What a decision to made by Prince William and Princess Catherine. This day is so difficult but they will always remember!
I seems to me a lot of mothers are doing the same . When the grow so fast and that child is in her teens Kate will regret it that she did not treat her as the age is
@@norahglavin5226 I agree. It was a stupid decision.
Oh, yeah they’ll remember how mom and pops used them for sympathy and advertising during a funeral.
@@angelwings7930 As someone whose parents wouldn’t allow me to go to my grandfather’s funeral…what a sick and twisted thing for you to post! You obviously haven’t any comprehension on the trauma NOT going to such an event can cause. Regardless of anything else, that is still their great-grandmother laying in that casket. Just because your brain came up with the twisted notion of using children as pawns, doesn’t mean that is what the Prince and Princess of Wales are doing. The trauma of not having been there for such an important event would’ve been far worse than being there. What sick individual you must be to even think such things. SMFH!
Charlotte and George were so brave and it must have been very hard.Charlotte did look so grown up to.Were all so very sad about our awesome queen and for all of her family to.xxxx
Princess Anne was amazing...she didn't leave her mother's side since her death.
I am very glad that George and Charlotte were included. They are old enough to understand and I believe it was important for them to be there. Not only do they have every right to say goodbye, this is an education for them on protocol and how things are done. It was also important for them to see just how many people loved her and I hope they understand that the people were also there to support them in their grief. I still cry for the loss of my grandmother, even though it's been over 20 years, and I know this isn't the last of their tears either. My heart breaks for them more than anyone because they are so young. They are beautiful children and I do not envy how broken their little hearts are right now, but I have been praying that God watch over them all and bring them comfort. May God bless their little souls and protect them throughout their lives. They now have one heck of a guardian angel! Long Live The King.
Yes, indeed. And to all those “adult” bullies STOP IT!
It was beautiful and I am honoured to have witnessed this point in history, I hope the family will be able to grieve in peace now.
Magnificent funeral for a Magnificent Queen. R.I.P.
PG & PC are so lucky to have met great grandparents. I barely met one grandmother.
Me too - it must be fantastic - hope you had a lovely life regardless.
I was lucky to even know my great grandmother
I'm motherless and used to fantasize HRH Elizabeth was my adoptive mother. My sympathy for Charles, Anne & rest of real royals..RIP Elizabeth R.
My granddaughter met her great great grandparents (husband and wife) on her fathers side, but was very small and probably doesn't remember them now.
@@KateBates22zabu I used to pretend that one day The Queen would come and rescue me from my mother. The thought of that kept me going through some hard times. I’m sorry you lost your mum 💐
These two reminds me of the bond between King Charles and Princess Anne. 💕 must be nice to have siblings who holds no jealousy
Prince William and Princess Katherine raises all their children in a family oriented manner. Being part of the royal family, you have to be able to deal and overcome difficult obstacles.
It's not an easy life I think, full of tedium and duty.
Harry and Megan and there children need to come back to England. We miss them so much. We also need them.

I thought that was a rather pointed comment. I hope it hit home.

Amazing how she isn't just "Queen of England" or "Queen of the UK" or "Queen Elizabeth" - she is just... The Queen. Rest in peace, your majesty🌹❤
You are so right, its really sinking in now❤️👑
Love the Wales' children.❤️.. HMTQ, you'll be missed.
My heart breaks for young George and Charlotte. So young to learn about loss.
Charlotte and George were not the only great grandchildren of the Queen.
@@evelyn7881 But their father is next in line for the throne. They also didn't go on Oprah and say a bunch of vile lies about the Crown.
Everything was just perfect. They couldn't have had a more beautiful & respectful service for Her Majesty. I'm glad Prince George & Princess Charlotte were able to attend & say their final good byes. Hopefully, this will allow them to grieve as needed & help them understand things a bit better. 🙏 🇬🇧 🇺🇲🌹
It was all very impressive .
@@meisje365 Indeed!
That necklace is incredible. The moment they showed Kate I thought to myself how beautiful the necklace and her entire 'look' was
I think it made the ceremony that much more heartfelt.
So cool Princess Charlotte wore a brooch like her Great Gran
Long live the king! And long live England, the greatest country in the world from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹.
When my dad died, my closest friend said to me "The funeral will be the hardest day"
I didn't understand until I arrived home, everyone was gone, the quietness set in and it was then that I fully understood what she meant.
My heart goes out to royal family & the little prince & princess as it is the second death in over a year.
Prince Edward and Sophie have contributed a great deal as well!!
My heart went out to the whole family. What an exhausting day in fact 10 days. The emotions and the walking and walking and more walking and every minute in the public eye with hearts aching with the loss of a mother and grandmother. The Queen is very proud of them .
The English know how to honor and preserve their history. Beautiful moment for the family and for the people.
Awww precious Prince George, your Gam Gam loves you and is so proud of you. Rest In Peace Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
EVERYTHING is a sign of symbolism. EVERY detail was thought out, and worked out with precision! The Harkles NOT being front and center is a relief! May the Queen Rest in Peace, and LONG Live the KING!! 😥🙏✨
George and Charlotte are so royal I think it was a good idea for William and Kate are bringing their 3 children so well.
Leaving louie home was also a good idea, hes to young, in years to come George and Charlotte will be glad there parents allowed to let them be at the funeral of our queen there great grandmother.
They are an amazing family of the five of them, and members of our British royal family. The family now need a bit more time to greave and I hope the press will allow them to have private grieving god bless the family.
That was a lovely and moving tribute to the Queen and her people. What a unifying event since they included everyone . Bless them all .
Sarah Ferguson is taking in The Queen's doggies so good on her for that.
She also gave them to the queen with the promise that she would care for them if anything happened.
sarah and the Queen were good friends and was very supportive to Her Majesty esp after Prince Philips death
I was so happy Fergi was there and seated with the Royal Family. Wonderful!!!
Even in the deepest of sadness, the Princess of Wales aka Katherine looks stunningly beautiful 1:28
R I P QUEEN ELIZABETH England You were absolutely incredible and the military were spectacular.
You can see all of the work that the Prince and Princess of Wales have put into their children, both Prince George and Princess Charlotte are well behaved, poised and dignified just like their parents, grandparents and great grandparents. Much affection and condolences from the USA.
I think Sarah Ferguson had maintained a friendship with the Queen despite her divorce from Andrew. Apparently she regularly met her to walk the dogs, and she’s taking in two of the Queen’s four dogs - the two corgis, as Sarah has corgis as well.
Didn't see her sing 1 hymn today bitter lady as fake as they come
I thought at first that they were a wee bit young but since they seen their gran almost every day they would be missing her, it made more sense to include them so they could understand what was going on and says their last goodbyes
People need rituals to say goodbye , I was 10 when I attended my fathers funeral , glad they let me .
First hello and last goodbye .Sad moment. so emotional and yes Beautiful prossession, touched my heart and I shed some tears. So hard to lose someone specially a mom 😔 😢 ♥
On BBC they said the brooch Charlotte wore was a gift from the Queen.
I can just see the Queen stood on the stairs of Buckinham Palace with her hands behind her back lifting on to her tip toes, with that big smile saying " I think that went off well, don't you "
It was a beautiful blessing to see Prince George and princess Charlotte of wales 🏴 the beautiful Catherine and prince William of Wales are so blessed for their dignity and grace 🙏🙏🙏♥️❤️💙💜💚💛🧡🇩🇪😇🏴
Deepest condolences The Royal Family #HM Queen Elizabeth II
People were kind and nice to each other as we grieved collectively.
Even in death the Queen’s last act was bringing us together, moving us forward united as a nation.
RIP 🙏
KATE LOOKS AWESOME BRAVO KATE !!! SHES UNIQUE !!!!
May God Bless the Queen. The outpouring of grief is a testament to a life well-lived!
What a beautiful funeral.
Nothing wrong with tears, they're healthy.
She is not only mourned by those in her home country and the Commonwealth, many of us in the United States mourn her passing with respect and admiration.
Absolutely! Rest in peace your majesty 🙏
A beautiful and true comment thank you Linda
The symbolism and inclusion of so many is truly touching. Queen Elizabeth II truly wanted to unite everyone.
Charles needs to go home and go to bed! He's so tired and grief stricken he looks on the verge of collapse.
The mature children allowed to be part of grief and healing. Therapeutic.
It was a lovely and moving ceremony, and my prayers are with the family. But as an American, I would like to salute the people of Great Britain. You have been exemplary these last 11 days, showing the world how to grieve with grace. God bless you all. ❤
Charlotte a lady, and George a gentleman like parents her majesty kinda made prince of Wales princess Catherine rise them ❤....

My daughter allowed her children to attend my Mom's funeral and my son chose not to and that's their right. Have to respect 🙏🏼 their chose.
So glad to be able to see this. It's hard to see the Queen family trying to control their feelings when you know their hearts are breaking.
