I found a 150pF 20kV Doorknob Cap and a 24v 3kv 30mhz Vacuum Relay very similiar to the one u used. I'm guessing the doorknob cap will work fine instead of the 3 47pf caps u use. On the 24v power adapter... how many amps adapter do u use?

I have a bag of 100pf 3kv caps. I'm guessing using 200pf won't make a huge difference?

Many 24v vacuum relays will trigger with just 12 volts. Regards Richy N2ZD

Have enjoyed watching many of your repair video's in the past week. While watching i was wondering if you would be active with ham-radio. Don't know why. Some expressions you used i guess.
Now i find this video and get confirmation. I like that. I have been an active Ham too for long time but healthproblems made me inactive on the bands..((

Hello, I am trying to figure out the exact parts you used. I have 47 picofarad capacitors, 24 kv button relay and coil. But not sure I have that correct. Could you please post a parts list so I can make sure I have this correct. I have the MFJ-1786 currently in the attic.. Love it. But hate not being able to get on 40 meters. Thanks you !

is current fluctuate on charging a moible phone or there is constatnt current ?
its full 90% of time, on the end of the charging ,the current will fall down

How is the relay powered? Why this type of relay?
there are around 3kv :), you need a high voltage vacum relay.Its powered via two wires 24v
