My friend as the MFJ mag loop. Are you keying the radio when that Yellow light on the right comes on. I was over at his house trying to figure it out. Not like my Alpha mag loop

Yes but a very low power, five watts. Even with that keep it to a minimum until you have a good SWR. Good luck!
