i thought toriyama made the design and that was like the only thing he did plus the villain's designs

@@ssjgotenks2009 My point is that Goku knew Bulma the longest. He met her before he met anyone else, everyone knows Bulma through him, and she's literally the second character we met in the series. Goku has an EXTREMELY deep connection with her that he doesn't have with anyone else. Its subtext, it doesn't need to be spoken aloud. You can say one thing but we as the audience know how close Bulma is to Goku is we think beyond surface level context. Goku would not even be in that position without Bulma.

Yea super sayain 4 form from what im seeing it is a primal transformation. That’s why it was deciding to go between kid goku and adult goku. Like the prime of a human is when they are adults. Makes sense that it would be the same for the sayains. As for goku being naked during transformation its because of his form being about evolution of the sayain race.
Like when you had goku turned ssj3 he went from great ape to adult to kid then transformed into ssj 3. The great ape has a lot to do with the ssj forms. When vegeta first mentioned ssj it showed flash back of the first super sayain turning into a golden great ape. Same with ssj 3 and ssj 4. Ssj is the evolved sayain version of the great ape in away. That’s why the design ssj4 is mixture of a sayain base form which shows the hair they were born with.
Like when vegeta goes ssj4 its always emphasized that his hair is brown. Then the form has mixture of the great ape. The tail, the fur, the primal animal eyes and the long hair. And then the ssj 4 has mixture of super sayain spike hairstyle. It’s their primal form. Honestly the ssj mortal forms makes more sense then the god ones because they connect more to their roots.

1:31 Super Saiyan 4 is one of the most interesting Super Saiyan Transformations in the Series tbh they said that Super Saiyan 4 is Ten Times Stronger than Super Saiyan 3 but i think its much higher
It's really insane how much stronger Super Saiyan 4 is. Especially when compared to an enemy who not only has Vegeta's power at his disposal but the combined strength of the entire Earth populace.
Nobody who has worked on GT ever said ssj4 was 10x ssj3. Never, not once ever.

Iirc Toriyama gave TOEI a lot of the designs for main characters (even Giru) & vehicles for GT but he didn’t initially design SS4 Goku, he just didn’t write the story.
Toriyama said he named the title , designed the initial main cast , spaceships , checked the story Toei had created and gave them some advice. He had drawn an Ssj4 Goku later but it was created by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru .

Old kai stated he had no power over this place , they can't see what's happening with Goku when he's there and can't even reach it , with Kibito kai only getting to him as soon as he spawned in an unrecognizable void after destroying sugoroku space from inside , proving this place to be existing on a higher level than any realms we've seen before as it's above kaioshin realm itself which so far stood at the top of the chain in a db universe sphere .
So baby's RDB warped Goku all the way from the mortal universe which is the bottom of the db universe sphere, into sugoroku space , crossing several higher levels of infinite sized boundaries not even stopping at kaioshin realm and going farther than that . And Ssj4 Goku here tanks the same attack .
Reaching Sugoroku space which is above space and time and all previous higher scaling infinite sized realms we've seen before , simply above the concept of life and death which are binary oppositions , makes this RDB outerversal level , hence Ssj4 Goku for tanking it easily.

He also didn't want to finish Vegeta with him so he was probably only planning to seriously injure baby that time and figure out how to get him out of Vegeta.
But hey , the soft heartedness is literally what gave him this power making him able to conquer the greatest rage in time before baby returned with his version of golden great which would be way stronger than Goku's.

I'm curious what others fans think, but I think Super Saiyan 4 is leagues beyond Vegito. Goku had fifteen years of training since the Buu saga. Then you add the ape transformation on top of the second transformation leading to SS4.

I actually have the English dub with the original Japanese soundtrack.
Also the best part about the transformation is that Goku after interacting with Pan tries to regain his humanity (likely fearing to do more harm), and then forces his body to go back into his base which leads to him achieving something stronger.
This is also why baby can go ss4, because he has no humanity.
I'm pretty sure I saw something official once saying that Tuffle DNA isn't compatible with Super Saiyan 4, which made it so Vegeta's body was unable to go into it as long as Baby was in him.
Yes although the technical reason could be that Vegeta hadn't unlocked it yet and can't when his consciousness is just artificially blocked by Baby , but it flows amazingly well with the narrative of this arc , Baby filled with hate caps at the rageful form becoming what he swore to destroy , and Goku goes further due to love for his friends , family and home and only with this form is he able to beat Baby . Absolute peak

@@Starfighter364 talking about the theme, Goku regaining his humanity because of his love and gets rewarded, but baby is not even a real tsufurian/tuffle and also acts on negative emotions, so in a way he can't transform because he has no humanity, the only that has it is Vegeta and he is basically not there because of baby.

I don't think a proper explanation is given for it Goku said he needs this body to beat baby , a reasonable theory is that the power of ssj4 is so strong it undoes the magic of the wish to give Goku his prime physicality as it exclusively happens in ssj4 .
I do. Super Saiyan 4 is transformation that brings or, in Goku's case, returns the user to their prime. That's why Goku not only returned to his adult form but also in his prime. It also makes him taller than normal too.
