Hi, Hawkeye... I'm new to your channel today. I've been a Lexus customer for many years and have owned a prior generation of the RX350 from 2017. If I needed an SUV, especially one with this impressive package, I'd be right back to my dealer to order one. Thanks for this review.
I have a silver F sport RX500h... FYI the bose systems are junk - well not as bad as my wifes jbl in her RAV, but they are not very good lets just say..... I have had 3 infiniti, Q70-'s over the last decade or more, and drove the tested the latest Q60, its bigger, but not as refined as the RX.. also the mark levinson system blows any bose systems I have had out of the water - it is 1800 watts, and volume is not an issue.. The screen I love, the interface no so much, and I needed to shut off all the beeps etc... also when service is due it comes up and blocks part of your view on your speedometer area every time you start it, there are too many beeps and safety features if you ask me.... thankfully you can shut most of them off. I have had it for 6 months, I didnt fit well in the last gen (so never bought one), but this one sits better for me at 6'5" tall, and I wanted something with over 300hp, so when this came out I became very interested.. I really like it, very nice drive, very smooth, plenty quick enough when you need it, but not exactly a rocket... I looked at a QX60, as a previous owner of 3 infinitis, and the QX is not the caliber of the Lexus, the QX is rougher over bumps and noisier driving, and previously had a mercedes E53 wagon that I loved, (other than the jarring bumps over small pot holes) but wanted something higher, and softer (suv).. GLE was too big, RX is about the right size for being nimble and enough space for wife and me.. Mark Levinson sound system is too "bright" you need to turn the mids down to lowest setting and treble to almost bottom, but the system rocks really well.. very loud, enough bass.. the touch pads on the steering you get used to using - but more buttons would be nice... FYI I have the top of the line, every option, rear steering helps with parking spots for sure.. nice turning radius.... I looked at a MDX as well, the RX is more refined, smoother, its like a stick of butter when you drive. The engine noise isnt bad, and they pump sound in, which I dont mind, smooths it out, and I tried with on and off... I prefer the sound on.. when you pass a couple cars, you can get into illegal speeds very quickly, its so smooth, you hardly notice the speed....... overall Im quite happy with the RX.... QX and MDX, GLE X5 are larger fyi... Im in Canada, and the RX is made only a few miles from where I live, and as you mentioned the QX is probably the only one in that list which is actually less $$ than the RX, but the X5 which I liked a lot, was 20k more by the time I got all the options I wanted.. I also noticed on the 2024 X5 they got rid of a lot of buttons also, so the interface is far different than previous versions... Anyway thats my thoughts on the RX coming from someone who trades cars every year or 2... Might keep this one longer ; )
It’s a great vehicle but this will be better with the overall drive. I like the 30ish all electric range but the 500 brings that fun to drive in Lexus.
@@ibrahimabah3693 the RX 350 but it will not have the performance you can add the f sport styling. All the performance RX will be hybrid or plug-in. Also if any of the trims add the H after it means hybrid.
@@ibrahimabah3693 the hybrid batteries can last awhile but in some cases I have seen them go bad around 75-100k. This can happen if you don’t drive the vehicle and it sits for long times without driving. Normal use is 100-150k than repair can be as low as 2k but normally around 6-8k.
LOL. Lexus is over. Reliability is dead with these tiny turbo engines. I'm mad about it. I was a huge Toyota and Lexus fan. No reason to buy them anymore.
Lexus have been using turbo 4s for years now in RX and they’re just fine. It’s just that this is the first time they’ve introduced it to North America.
@@mervinprone Exactly, and they’ve been loud and riddled with issues in comparison to the non-turbo engines. Now, Toyota has decided to listen to the government instead of consumers and remove the reliable options.
This vehicle CANNOT out perform the MDX..for one the battery will only allow it to go straight anything other it will slide off the road..😅 you keep revving it but it doesn't do anything..just face it, it the sound doesn't matter..it doesn't make it perform..going around curves and being able to do it without sliding off the road..and the lexus doesn't have that capability..stay prissy and cute that's is Lexus legacy..😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
@@abr7192 both have a adaptive variable suspension but it’s not as dynamic as a BMW / Mercedes/ Audi but the Type S is more solid then the RX when taking hard corners. The Acura has more of a fun factor as it’s not a hybrid so the exhaust sound that comes in, from the speakers on both, is better with Acura. But the everyday drive is smoother with Lexus.
I am in NY and I received my 2024 RX 500H Sport and I’m enjoying every moment in it. I have NO REGRETS/COMPLAINTS. I AM A HAPPY VEHICLE OWNER ❤❤❤
Congratulations they are nice 👍
awesome ! I love mine also
This 500H F Sport is absolutely stunning inside and out. Future of Lexus is looking great 👍🏼
I agree

How's the ride quality? I test drove a 2023 several months ago, and the ride was surprisingly stiff.
@@joshuamoore2714 it’s smooth, not like a standard rx but smoother than Mercedes and BMW
@@joshuamoore2714 open highway its smooth and very quiet.. its nimble around town, thats why I like it.. Ride quality is fine overall.
The exhaust sound is coming through the speaker is why it sounds like that but still cool
I know this is normal on a lot of vehicles nowadays 👍
@@HawkeyeRides ya true my 22 is500 did it too. Picking up this rx500 tomorrow for wife 😁
@Awins25 that’s awesome congratulations
OMG I've never seen one in this color! Love it ! 😊
It was nice
I bought my 500h last August and still love it! I agree with you - the F Sport Performance should have dual exhaust pipes!!
Congratulations they are awesome and thanks for sharing
Would you recommend putting on coil overs to give it a stiffer suspension?
@@BeastNolan yes I would it would make the dynamics where it should be in corning and the performance is awesome.
I think this is the best color for the RX.
I agree
I wish Lexus install the width 255 little wider tires rather then 235 and the remote start up
Wider tire would help
Why is there no sun shade for this trim ?
With this trim Lexus is going for a performance and luxury blend and it saves them money 😁
@@HawkeyeRides like you said “luxury blend” I’m sure most people would want this to have sun shades especially for what it costs for this car
@@ibrahimabah3693 I agree even it most performance vehicles they are doing it.
@@HawkeyeRides yep well can’t argue it’s still a nice looking car
Beautiful car!!
@@pionkang3351 they are 👍
fyi, you get used to the buttons etc.. I dont have any issues with them anymore.
Thanks for your input 👍
In the brochure it mentioned an EV mode used for parking lots. Where is the button for this mode?
I go over that in the interior specs it’s near the driving modes
What colour is this 500h?
In the first 2-15 seconds the full sticker is posted and when I start the video I say the trim / color 👍
This car in my country is 235k after tax. Vietnam!!
Sounds like a lot 👍
MPG is already plural, no need to add an 's' - All that torque comes from the battery, similar to a launch in a Tesla.
I’m excited that the RX has a more powerful vehicle 👍
Prefer MDX Type S. Luxury..performance ..handling.
@@josephplatero8738 they are awesome vehicles
I found it cheap compared to RX
24 Acura MDX Type S is way more dynamic

Unless you are built like a small woman the seats are terrible.
