Replacing mine today. Seems like this is a common issue. I recommend using the electronic lock/unlock rather than pulling the handle out to unlock it. That should avoid future breaking of the plastic gear. Thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful!

If you pull the handle and the lock at the same time….opens. Until the plastic lock lever breaks
