Probably Iron Gelate. One of the few additives you need in aquaponics. It's basically Iron in a bioavailable form, of which there are various kinds and some of those especially the more stable ones have a tendency to colour your water red.
What do you use as a grow medium? Is is just stones of that shape like i see it in the video or do I need to keep track of the kind of stones( I guess they differ in minerals contained, conentration of those etc)
maybe they have higher water aeration because maybe their water is a little bit warmer? because of climate i mean. the warmer the water is the less it can hold in gases.
Photosynthetic activity of a plant will be limited mainly by temperature and C02 levels(after photosynthetic flux) I dont think it is the "oxygenation" of the water which results in higher yields, instead it is probably greater availability of nutrients at any given moment due to the mixing effect of the water stones evening out concentrations around the root surfaces. I think Oxygenation of the plants roots during dark hours may result in healthier more robust plants as plants must respire when not exposed to sufficient light. Also most root growth occurs during the dark phase.
@@aidansharples7751 If the solution doesnt contain enough oxygen (below 5ml/L if I remember correctly) , then you'll get anaerobic bacteria, and then you have to practically empty, clean, refill and startover again, which is very fuken expensive. More because for a friendly environment for the rootsystem than using it inside plants own metabolism in photosystems.

Growing in an environment like this one offers a slew of advantages. The first is better resource utilization. For example, the system saves over 80 percent less eater compared to regular farms. Second, this system is able to optimize out put for the space available. Third, it avoids soil borne diseases which greatly reduces yield. Fourth, more control over the entire growth process. Actually, hydroponic growth is faster than growth on regular farming practices...
Many species of fish cope well with high TDS. More important control criteria are water temperature, biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand and ensuring that phosphorous levels are not allowed to increase above what the plants require.
MONIKA TAMTA The ammonia is broken down by nitrifying bacteria in the moving bed bio filter, the media beds and under the styrofoam rafts. First it’s broken down to nitrite , then nitrate which is nutrients for the plants.
The stones or the air itself? The stones get rid of the noise and make the bubbles smaller and more uniform. As for why aerate them in general check out some comparison videos: ua-cam.com/video/2cscaOpIZyU/v-deo.html
10 cents a Kilo is the right price if as per the western media which keeps repeating most of india lives under $2 a day. So multiply by 25 to get an average wage earned by a unskilled shop worker in the so called "first and second world" and you will see proportionately the tomato prices are right. Even rocket science is inexpensive in India, so only a fool will pay exhorbitant prices to eat imported greens.
these air pumps inside bed are useless !! as the air dissolves through agitation which is not possible when the surface is covered !! next time don't spend money on those
If a price is ridiculous then it is ridiculous. How much money one has doesn't change that fact. They are independent of each other. For example, i don't think a Jeff Bezos would spend 100 dollars on a can of soda. Second, you'd be surprised just how much value rich people place on money. More than most. Many wealthy people clip coupons, too.
if healthy is good, then charity should begin at home, you know: how about eating less and losing 200 pounds to become healthy and able to walk yourself?? you are sooooo unjust to your own body, abusing it like that. tisk, tisk

Big fan of your farm . You guys are next level, I am from Assam, Northeast India.
Would really love to collaborate with you guys
It's amazing how large is this system, but at the same time it is made by five modul. with less risk but also i guess with more money to build
No edible fish? That's like missing half the point!

Why isn't the bug zapper over the fish tank?
Fish like BBQ too.
Probably so they don't electrocute the fish or a worker if the zapper takes a dive.
