- performed live at the Vangarde Arts Center - Sioux City, IA - found a few more clips I shot from the session and am adding out here, hope you enjoy!! I did :-)
Genius in the song and performance
My husband was his tour manager for eight years and the recording engineer for Big Twang. As he said today, he is the only one alive from this recording. We lost Billy Triplett and now David.
It was an honor and a privilege, Mr. Dave. Thank you for the music, the humor and the friendship.
There's a truly special and splendid honesty and integrity about his playing, that's so rare these days and really precious and inspiring.
What a legend of music and got that rhythem flowing all about..Never be another David Lindley and playing his instrument in the legendary way he gives to his fans..David gives sound and rhythem to all..Great performance and entertainment never ending.
Love and peace to you Mr. Dave, wherever you are. I am so very glad to have been here with you for awhile.
Rest easy David😢
Saw him a couple of times, one of best humans to ply the craft, plus he's funny as hell on stage!
Damn - I lived not far from there. I coulda been there if I'd a been payin' attention.
RIP, thanks for the music
Humboldt Brewery 1987, one of my many memories
wonderful talent
thank you for sharing!!!!! How wonderful this is.
Love and love and gratitude David.
Thanks for capturing this Mark Gerkin! What a magical night!
I love this man
Yes. He is an American treasure. There will be no one like him
@@HCastelli I love him too...
A music hero - big time!!!
😞 RIP!
Gifted !
LIttle taste of "The French Inhaler" in the instrumental. Look away down Gower Avenue.
I think he's slipped off this mortal coil, which at the dimming can be so heavy to drag around, and know he's returned to Olympus, to sit around the eternal campfire with Jimi, Jeff and Chuck, and swap stories, laughs and licks. So long Mr. Dave, for now.
Can't see him even today without remembering his famous falsetto vocal in Jackson Browne's STAY. Hilarious.
Absolutely the best on Stay
David is DIVINE.
