The whole "Finn getting less violent arc" can be tracked back all the way to episodes such as "Diamonds have power", "Henchman" or "Holly Jolly Secrets" when Finn starts realising the world's not so black and white as some villains are just victims of the magic world they inhabit and some monsters they might fear aren't actually evil at all. It's really cool to aknowledge the contrast with the "I kill anything evil" Finn.
I didn't know it went that far back but yeah you're right. I started noticing it around Bun Bun and episodes around that time which showed a more warm and kind Finn.
This will give you a proper understanding of Finn's pacifism: rhetoricofafangirl.tumblr.com/post/172409583263/fandom-fridays-the-evolution-of-finn-and-violence
Merritt Animation He either wants him for Gunter or he promised he’d make Fionna and Cake real (or at least Ice king’s version of Fionna and Cake real).
The animation in this was really good. Also holy shit, even Finn realized how much he changed trough the series, I am so happy for him and how much he developed. Also, just notice the Snail is not even smiling in this episode...
Probably Orgalorg is going to appear, since we saw Gunther and Fern in the final battle with GOLB in a t-shirt in honor of the finale. And also, probably the final battle is going to be in space.
There was no way Gumbald would of known that Gunter was Orgalorg, he was a dumb piece of candy. He might of known who Orgalorg was, but he probably wouldn't know the connection.
The green knight myth actually matches really well. A foreign power (Morgan la fey) sends a champion(green knight) to a cellibration who then challenges a knight (gwain) and beats them (kind of). Just replace the brackets with gumbald, Fern and fin respectively
Oh, also. Remember the "Second Age of Terror" Matthew mentioned in "The Mountain"? I guess that must be the second coming of GOLB or the Gum War itself. Either way, I'm pertty sure the Mushroom War was the first Age of Terror. I guess that hints The Lich will come back, as well.
Could be, that would also be in line with why things were still shitty 1000 years later. After all Matthew was killed via presumably delicious lemonjohn sweets.
And then in another 1000 years the Candy Kingdom will be abandoned and it's inhabitants put in a giant candy machine. Which then is destroyed by aliens
After some deep research (More or less) in the details of AT's past & I found all the answers to my questions in an unexpected place aka "AT's comics". I found the comics talking about Finn's past lives that were showen in the season 2 eps "The Vault" and, but only the comet and the butterfly were the ones that had the conclusions hidden in them. The comet comic was about showing Finn as a comet (but not knowing that he was finn of course) where he felt sad that when he will hit he ground lots of people are gonna die and the dark space calls for him to follow his wake and save the planet he's heading towards by discovering the endless wonders of space but the comet sais after some thought that if he follows his desires by denying his identity that will lead to nothing but him being imprisoned by these wonders and changing the fate from it's course, then he realises that he's just a comet and that he can't do anything about it and he becomes glad and content that he's a him and he's doing his job quite well. Then I asked myself "why is he so positive? I know that he usually like this when he's Finn but why as a comet? I mean if anyone was to be handed this job he would be terrefied" and for the answer of that question comes the butterfly life comic. In this comic Finn is just a butterfly that flies around in a forest, but then comes a black wind that strikes the butterfly but with no damage dealt, and the speaks to the butterfly saying "Be the hero, fight my evil!" and Finn replies that he's just a butterfly but the Dark wind keeps following him and keeps telling him to fight, so these two are the exact opposite and the dark wind & the dark space are the same thing "THE LICH". Finn & the Lich are eternal rivals because it's what they're meant to be, the lich knows his role as a villain and as the negative side of life and he does what he has to do, but Finn does what he has to as the positive side of life but only as the role his life forces him to do as a hero. From all of this we find that Finn is just a mere mortal reincarnated in many lives why representing GOOD in the universe whle on the other hand the Lich is a soul ordered to do his job in existence as the incarnation of EVIL. You wanna know what Golb has to do with this? Well, the Lich said that he was the last scholar of Golb wich means that he was ordered to do his job by Golb as the incarnation of EVIL. In the eps of season 5 "Puhoy" we saw Finn live his life until he died in the pillow dimention, and when he died he somehow entered the void of Golb and returned to his dimention. You know why? Because Golb saved him from dying for the purpouse of keeping balance between GOOD & EVIL (Also that approved that time passes diffrently in dimentions) and seeing how he ERASED Margels from the entire multiverse and crossing Prismo in the season 5 eps You Forgot Your Floaties makes me wonder if he's the one that Prismo's so called BOSS, and i noticed that the projectiles floating around him are similair to Prismo's time chamber wich explains why he has so much control over the multiverse (If it was true) In conclusion, we know that Finn & The Lich are eternal rivals because they're pawns of Golb who made them the incarnations of GOOD and EVIL being the most supreme being in the multiverse. I hope I got to something in here and let me know what you think guys, thanks :)
So, basically Persian religion that two supreme being of justice and chaos that are in a eternal struggle until the god of justice eventually wins which enacts a judgement day on everyone
yup it confirmed. but he still into dark arts tho. or princess bubble gum already understand how the juice work after the finale and try to find a solution then using LSP to revert him.
I feel so sad for Fern. I can’t even imagine what he had to go through when he first appeared in the show. Essentially BEING Finn and having your best buddy choose someone else just ouch
I don't believe that PB could get effected by the DumbDumb Juice since she is an Elemental. She should realize by now she had full control of Candy and tap into her cast power like in the Elements MiniSeries.
Yeah... This season finale is going to have to wrap up A LOT! I know I should want the whole “golb” and gum war plot lines to get a satisfying end, but honestly the only thing I really want from this finale is a proper resolution for Simon and Betty, preferably including Marceline. I’ve been patiently waiting for this since at least SEASON FIVE! Justice for poor Simon!
What I love most about your channel is that everytime an AT episode seems meh for me, I then watch your review and completely turns it around and then I love it and watch it again with new eyes of amazement because generally I miss all the great details. So thank you!
True, you need 4 jewels but FP and SP are friends with PB, and I'm sure IK would also lend his Crown jewel if asked. Although, funnily enough, that also nullifies Gumbald's plan as well. PB did tell the story of how her family came to be to Finn, Jake, and Marceline, so they should be able to realize dumdum juice was at work. If Finn did end up hugging PB, he could have just reverted her if he found LSP and got the jewels again.
@@kmkeiram Maybe they DID un-dumdum PepButt as well as Chicle and Gumbald, but as soon as they came back they re-dumdummed them. Is it silly? Yeah but it's also possible
Elisa Castro I think that by "candy kingdom haters" Gumbald meant people who have grudges with the Candy Kingdom and/or it's allies. So he's likely there to either get back at Finn and Jake for messing up his plan to get Marcy back, or with Marcy herself for said break up and following face kicking.
30 YEARS LATER, but tbh i like how you take your time to deliver a good video instead of jumping in the trend, i don't really like when people try to make review like in the same day and end being a shallow review kind of shit, good job
I find it funny that Ash got punched by Simon, even when Simon told Marceline that he'd punch her boyfriend if he ever met him, and yet he did, unknowingly. I like that alot, because we probably didn't know it, but he still is a father figure to Marceline, even if he didn't know what he said in the crown.
In "The Pit", Samantha says "I conquer till I am conquered... by love, or by the hand of an adversary." The Candy Kingdom is, I think it's fair to say, the most powerful kingdom in Ooo, so I'm sure Samantha recognized this and set her sights on conquering it, since it will be the most challenging. Also, Lady Rainicorn and Princess Bubblegum have a long history as BFFs, so maybe that factors into her being a "Candy Kingdom Hater", since in her debut she was flirting with Jake. Also, I think Me-Mow is all grown up, not just bigger. You can see how she has curves now, which she never had when she was teeny tiny. Maybe because she's a cat-person she ages super fast?
Actually I have a more unnerving theory about the 2 Ferns. There are multiple ferns. His green knight form is clones from the remains of fern so there is no reason to suspect there aren't more clones. It would explain how he can seemingly be everywhere.
This is all reminding me of the first episode billy was in. Billy was telling finn to seek out alternate actions to problems than violence, and it blew up in his face each time. Of course, billy ignored the nuance that when evil comes knocking, one must fight it until the end of the episode, where finn makes the case FOR violence. I like to think that this change in finn started from billy's suggestion to help people in other ways than fighting.
Great video! One thing you got me thinking about, is how this theme of "growing up" applies to PB as well. She used to be very domineering and manipulative but has mellowed out with her experiences, realizing and coming to trust the value of others as more than tools. However her relatives never got that chance to grow up (given their long imprisonment as morons) and, like Fern without a Jake, this has lead them to questionable behavior. I wonder then, if gumbald has been in PB's place those ten seasons go would he now be seen as the good guy? Anyway, point is, the gradual changes brought on by time continue to be a major theme in the show. Everything stays, but it still changes. Oh, and hey, looks like Gumbald's main building is a retrofitted ancient ziggurat. Guess who loves ziggurats? Ancient, heathen gods. Who's a heathen god who has story threads in the finale? That's right! Party god = final boss! Or Golb, I guess that works too.
I NOTICED THAT TOO! Especially Bubblegum's face when Peppermint Butler was pretty much downgraded quite a few ages. I don't know what it is about her face, but it looked too sloppy and old to be natural in comparison to the rest of the season's artstyle
Realistically PB likely used old school film because it's more secure. Digital signals can be intercepted, but the only way to intercept physical media is to physically retrieve it. Plus any evidence is easily destroyed if need be.
Ok but what if ash is a candy kingdom hater because Bonnie stole his girlfriend lmao. Just a fun thought I had. (Bubbline better become canon or I will riot)
Uncivilized Elk HI! Also yea I had written this before I got to that part because I thought this while watching the actual episode. Love ur videos tho!
Gote the Capricunt that wasn’t the shows/writers fault because the producers fucked it up by telling them they will only get one season (which is why it ended pretty solidly) so when they suddenly said btw you get a second season they had to rush to make it (which is why it was the worst season of any show ever.) but once they had a bit more time season 3 and 4 got a bit better. Not much tho. Anyway that’s what I was told and read on why it wasn’t exactly the shows fault.
Thinking about it, they already have a way to reverse the dum dum juice. Just give LSP the gems again and she could return Peppermint Butler back to normal.
Yes Uncle Gumbald can make a gum Jake like how Princess Bubble make her Relatives, in order to make Gum Jake he needs the Genuine Jake to get the similarities and personalities and so it's possible.
I knew you were going to comment about Finn's growth and include Jake's quote about Fiin growing like a flower. I have been looking forward to watching your review for weeks primarily because of this moment.
I was rewatching the episode recently, and noticed: the error you mentioned at 13:53 might not actually be an error. I think that was Sir Slicer sitting in the chair, not the Green Knight. You can tell from the armor details and the lack of horns.
I think that aunt lolly was just trying to get rid of gumbald. Since she saw jake could stretch, so she knew that Finn would be safe, but didn't think that he would save gumbald, so he would splat and lolly could end the war like she did at the end of the dream sequence in the finale. Which is why she had an evil look on her face, looking at gumbald.
I believe I've unraveld the lich's origin wich led me to the truth behind Golb. Would you like me to write what I found for you and the community ? If so reply please :)
I love your commentary of everything you review and your opinions and thoughts that go with it. Please make a tutorial on how you analyse and take notes on an episode and such.
I kind of wish this had been a 26 episode season so we could have seen a little more onscreen development of Gumbald's city-state, as well as more episodes to address The Gum War and whatever is supposed to happen with GOLB. Outside of his inexplicably advanced technology, I wasn't sure why Gumbald's faction was treated like such a serious threat before this episode, since it seemed to just consist of four people. With that being said, I have been enjoying this season as a whole, and "Gumbaldia" was a particularly strong episode. I really liked the ominous tone that was present throughout. between "Whispers", "The Wild Hunt", and this episode, Sam Alden seems to be very good at creating a tense atmosphere, and I wish he had been able to board more episodes this season. It also gave Gumbald some much needed characterization; whereas before I just saw him as a one-dimensional mad scientist stereotype, I now see that he is essentially a dark reflection of Bubblegum the same way Fern is for Finn. If she hadn't course corrected after the event of "The Cooler", then PB's morally questionable traits could have easily worsened until she basically became exactly like her uncle. Likewise, perhaps Finn could have eventually down a similar route as Fern if he hadn't moved past his deep seated insecurities and violent tendencies. At first, I was disappointed that The Lich was probably not going to factor into the final conflict, but now that I see what they seem to be going for with the current antagonists, I'm more satisfied with how it is shaping up. It will be interesting to see how they manage to tie GOLB into all of this.
Anybody else notice how the camera panned/snapped from left to right when introducing the members of Gumbald’s army except when introducing the final 2 (Ice King and Green Knight) like I could be looking into it too much but I definitely think that they did it deliberately to show that Green Knight isn’t beyond redemption
Why does every main character in the series (excluding Ice King and BMO) have a horrible biological parent? Finn's dad was a conman who would manipulate ANYONE to get out of a bad situation, Jake's biological dad (the alien, not Joshua) literally tried to steal his son's life, Bubblegum's family tried to poison her, then declared war on her, Marceline's dad is the literal Devil (in the world of Adventure Time, anyway). The only character we constantly see in the show who doesn't have a terrible biological parent is BMO, since Mo was a pretty nice guy.
I think the bit with PB going old school and using film could have been for reference/comparison to the world wars (which this imitates - the armament wars in which both sides keep on developing weapons out of insecurity (“theyre forcing my hand”)) One poem that the red room scene especially reminded me of is “the War Photographer”. I think the whole experience just makes it seem much more grim and serious, elevating the tensions for this finale.
Okay, I've got quite a bit to say about this episode, so here we go. This one was my favorite episode out of the four. Finn's character development at the beginning of the episode where he wants to find a peaceful resolution rather than resorting to violence like he usually would shows that his character has come a long way since the early seasons, and it makes me think that he might find some way to redeem Fern. At first I was hopeful for a peaceful resolution when Gumbald expressed his intentions of not wanting to go to war, but then I realized something felt off with how sudden his change of heart was, and of course it turned out to all be a ruse. I also really loved callbacks to the earlier seasons, and this episode had a lot of them by having all these minor characters show up at the end. It really makes a lot of the one off episodes from the show feel like they were meaningful and not filler. There was one thing about this episode kind of bugged me though. I know that this is a cartoon with cartoon logic, so some suspension of disbelief is required, but I call bullshit on how Gumbald able to create this massive candy city out of nowhere so quickly after his return. Unless he created some candy people of his own to help accelerate the construction, there is no way he could have built all that by himself. I suppose you could take into account what Finn said in Temple of Mars about how Jake has been gone for five weeks, which shows that a decent amount of time has passed that might allow Gumbald to build his candy city, but it still doesn't make much sense to me. I remember that there were also some leaked images floating around that showed a nightmarish version of Gumbaldia, but since that didn't show up in the episode, I'm thinking that it might have been unused concept art or part of a deleted scene. If not, it's likely that they were images from the finale Come Along With Me. Perhaps Golb might have something to do with it, like maybe he creates some kind of nightmare reality in Ooo, which could tie into the Nightmare Juice from the end of Orb. As for my theories on how the finale Come Along With Me will go, your guess is as good as mine. I thought the whole Gumbald plot line would get resolved before the finale, but it looks like it will continue on into it. With all these major plot lines still left to resolve, I can't help but feel that the finale is going to be a huge clusterfuck. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the ending to Samurai Jack. At least with Adventure Time it will be getting an extended length episode to space out all these plot points rather than having a single normal length episode where everything had to be crammed into it, which was the case with Samurai Jack's finale. These are the main plot lines that that will absolutely need to be resolved in the finale: Gumbald, Fern/Grass Demon, Golb, and Betty/Ice King. That's four plot lines coming together in an episode that's going to be the length of four episodes, so theoretically that's one plot line for each of the four parts of Come Along With Me. Can they pull it off and make an ending that does not rely on some kind of deus ex machina to resolve everything? Maybe, but only if they cut out all the fluff and focus solely on the story elements. I'm going to be brutally honest here, if we want to have an ending that actually makes sense and doesn't feel rushed, then some things, like for example the romantic pairings and slice of life stuff, are going to have to be ignored in favor of properly developing and concluding those main plot points. You can't always have your cake and eat it. Whenever a series has tried to do both with its finale, it often just ends up feeling half-assed. On the topic of the Candy Kingdom Haters, the way I see it, it's not that they all hate the Candy Kingdom, but rather the people in it, particularity those who they feel have wronged them in some. Each of the people in this band of villains has some sort of past beef with either Finn, Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, or Peppermint Butler. Some are more justified in their feelings of hatred towards the Candy Kingdom, while others just seem to be in it for revenge. Out of all of them, I think the ones with the most legitimate grievances are Pete Sassafras and Peace Master. Pete Sassafras got screwed over big time by Finn and Jake when they just left him to rot in jail even though he was innocent, and Peace Master's children were turned into demons by Peppermint Butler for no other reason than to screw with him. I guess karma came back to bite Peppermint Butler in the ass because now he himself was transformed by the dum-dum juice. I wonder if he'll ever be changed back though. Maybe Lumpy Space Princess could use her anti-elemental powers to change him back to normal. Perhaps the worst out of this entire group of villains are Bandit Princess and Ash the Warlock. Finn and Marceline, respectively, were each hurt on a deeply emotional level by their actions in the past. I can definitely see Bandit Princess and Ash teaming up to form some sort of Bonnie and Clyde type duo to get back at Finn and Marceline. Also, is Fern really okay with working alongside Bandit Princess considering what she did to him when he was still the Finn Sword? Not only did Bandit Princess steal the Finn Sword from Finn, but in a way she also stole Fern's innocence by using the Finn Sword to murder a whole bunch of people against his will, all while he was powerless to stop it and could only watch from the inside. The Candy Kingdom may need some help in dealing with these villains, so I can picture Finn and Jake having to go around gathering allies to form a group of their own to counter them. It could include Marceline, Lumpy Space Princess, Huntress Wizard, Flame Princess, potentially Susan and Frieda, and anyone else they can find. I'm not sure if Finn will be able to defeat Fern in combat though. The two of them are like mirror versions of each other and are of equal strength, so a battle between the two would likely end in a draw. If Fern is to fight someone, I think it would be pretty cool to see him fight Huntress Wizard. It would be a battle of plant magic with his sword versus her bow. Based on Finn's recent approach of trying to find a non-violent solution to the conflict, he might try to redeem Fern. If he were to fight Fern again and outright kill him in combat, then Finn wouldn't really learn anything from it because he already killed Fern once before. Redeeming Fern without killing him will be Finn's symbolic way of forgiving himself. I can picture Fern saying something like this: "You can't beat me Finn." and in response Finn says something like this: "Then I won't fight you."
Technically speaking, Princess Bubblegum could fix Peppermint Butler and the narrative could still have her keep a strong anger at Gumbald, cycle of revenge type stuff.
Of course it could, everything would still make total sense. Even if PepBut didn't take the blow but PB noticed the dumdum solution, she would still probably go straight to war. It's just that PepBut being caught in the crossfire and being a permanent casualty makes it all more dire. But hey, theoretically LSP should be able to fix him anyway.
Lollys plan to have Finn save Gumbald was a Batman Gambit. She simply engineered a situation where she knew all the pieces would behave exactly how they normally do,
16:57 for clarification about memow initially he/she (I don’t really know their gender) was actually flameified elements and was working as part of flame princess’s army during the attack on the candy kingdom and then was candified by Bonnabel during her song, “Let me call you sweetheart.”
The stuff about Finn growing out of his berserker phase always interested me, and the way it seems to coincide with his empathy growing stronger. I think a big part of that was learning about and seeing himself in "monsters," characters like the Ice King/Simon, Sweet Pea, Fern, and even Martin.
Invader Charles I know I can't speak for Eric however I believe once Infinity train comes out it will be right up his alley also just because Adventure Time is ending does it mean there isn't anything left to talk about.
Would have loved to see how things would have been different if Fern had gone with Finn in the island mini series. In three buckets Finn said that Fern was like a brother to him or even closer so it feels like that should have happened and I was kindof surprised that Fern made no mention of wanting to go considering he basically is Finn and would probably want to find out where he came from too.
I half expect you to name your Adventure Time finale review "Adventure Time's Finale is Awful" with a similar thumbnail to your Samurai Jack Finale review. This is only of course if the AT finale is bad, which hopefully it won't be.
Ok, I thought I finished adventure time but there’s a ton I haven’t seen. I wonder where I dropped off. I’m going to find where I left off, but this channel is helping me see it’s definitely worth getting back into. I don’t think I ever disliked it, I just got busy with something’s
themobhunter I agree, but since we're on the topic of Gumbald, I think if they were going to say he wouldn't have changed and that it was necessary to dumb dumb him we should have SEEN him try to kill her again. Maybe while they embrace, Gumbald would draw a sword or something and try to kill her but gets interrupted by lolly. With the way it ended up it just feels a little wrong.
If minny was anyone else I think Finn would’ve definitely used violence to stop her. I think Finn turned to a life of peace because he knew his mother was a helper and would’ve wanted that
I just want to let you know that you are a great person and that you should be yourself and not let others tell you what you can and can't do. You're the kind of person that will be part of something big one day. Keep it up.
At minute 14:01 you overlooked another error! The shadow that you are pointing at is actually Sir Slicer without his mount. So thats 2 errors in one go (You can tell is Sir Slicer for the design of the armor and hair)
It makes sense for all the villains to be there at the end. Even if some of they don't hate the Candy Kingdom specifically, they *do* hate some characters that associate with/fight for the Candy Kingdom, hence choosing to join Gumbald's army Side note: How awesome would it be to see Scorcher in a direct battle with Flame Princess??
IMO, Finn's devleoment in a more peaceful and warmhearted individual goes further back than Fern. I think "Bun Bun" is where I started to notice it where he preferred to talk stuff out and showed a gentler, pacifistic side.
I think you should do an episode regarding all the times the family has taken over the kingdom. You have chicle and lollies civil war in the pajama war, the end of stakes, you could even see the time in the first episode when gumbald almost knocked over the tower as an attempted assassination
16:35 My personal head-canon for Me-Mow's size is that she was still young in her first episode but grow older fast (like Jake's kids). (I mostly think this do to her body's new curves which she didn't have before.) 17:24 We actually saw him get out of jail in Tree Trunks wedding when the guards mistook PB's instructions of letting everyone go as letting ALL the criminals go instead of just the wedding guest.
Francisco Arruti yeah that's a good point
I didn't know it went that far back but yeah you're right. I started noticing it around Bun Bun and episodes around that time which showed a more warm and kind Finn.

Or gunter just signed up cos he's always up for violence
What if Gumbald hasn't really recruited Ice King, he just invited him to get the Gunther, AKA Orgalorg.
Probably. But also Ice King's presence in there was obviously a joke, also a reference to the old Ice King from Season 1-2.
And where was even gumbald during season 6
I don't think Gumbald is dumb enough to hire the AT equivalent to Cthulu
Probably Orgalorg is going to appear, since we saw Gunther and Fern in the final battle with GOLB in a t-shirt in honor of the finale. And also, probably the final battle is going to be in space.

Because Golb saved him from dying for the purpouse of keeping balance between GOOD & EVIL (Also that approved that time passes diffrently in dimentions) and seeing how he ERASED Margels from the entire multiverse and crossing Prismo in the season 5 eps You Forgot Your Floaties makes me wonder if he's the one that Prismo's so called BOSS, and i noticed that the projectiles floating around him are similair to Prismo's time chamber wich explains why he has so much control over the multiverse (If it was true)
In conclusion, we know that Finn & The Lich are eternal rivals because they're pawns of Golb who made them the incarnations of GOOD and EVIL being the most supreme being in the multiverse.
I hope I got to something in here and let me know what you think guys, thanks :)
wow, I like this theory! makes a lot of sense!
Wow.
So, basically Persian religion that two supreme being of justice and chaos that are in a eternal struggle until the god of justice eventually wins which enacts a judgement day on everyone
Im not sure if the finale ends up disproving this theory or not, but i dont think it does the opposite either way, so nice thought.
Well, goodbye Peppermint Butler.
WeegeeSlayer he was mah fav
Rich Taing mine too well my fourth fav but that’s cuz he would have destroyed gumbaldia army using his dark magic
In the finales, Pep buts still into the dark arts by reading dark magic 101.
yup it confirmed. but he still into dark arts tho. or princess bubble gum already understand how the juice work after the finale and try to find a solution then using LSP to revert him.
To be fair, he did do some pretty bad things and never got punished for them, so this is kinda delayed action karma,
I think the enemies have more of a grudge with Bubblegum's allies- like Finn, Jake, Marceline etc. That explains Marceline and the horse girl.
In the words of Sir Slicer, this video was 👌
Ck-ck
How will you protect your baby-soft smooth skin, without armor?
That fire nation joke made my day.
I feel so sad for Fern. I can’t even imagine what he had to go through when he first appeared in the show. Essentially BEING Finn and having your best buddy choose someone else just ouch
I want to see war. That cake mech suit looks so badass
Edit: Peacemaster did nothing wrong, makes me sad that he might be one of the villains
Who knows, maybe he'll get some minor revenge in the process
I really wanna see the psychic tandem war elephant to make his return to the 2nd great mushroom war
If there’s no war elephant appearance during this gum war then I swear to god...
Hope u liked it.
@@vicentereyes8463 this is hilarious 😂
And SO..... _we shall go to war_ !

I don't believe that PB could get effected by the DumbDumb Juice since she is an Elemental. She should realize by now she had full control of Candy and tap into her cast power like in the Elements MiniSeries.
Im not sure if that's a logical deduction
She probably refuses to use them after the trauma of the Elements Miniseries.
Um, are you sure you are in the right thread?
She would turn back to a kid like Peppermint Butler did
If you say it like that all the Candy Kingdom would be Elemental
So you guys know chicle is bubble gum in Spanish
Lolli means stupid when you translate it from Estonian
😂😂😂 I did not. Thank you guys. Itd make sense PB would know multipld languages at least a little.
Maybe Peace Master's kids were turned back to normal after LSP reset Ooo, and after he got over it, he was ready for revenge
*The moment you realize that Finn’s head has to travel through Jake’s entire digestive system in order to be worn as a hat/hood.* 😳
Most of us had probably completely forgot about the existance of half the members of the "Candy Kingdom Haters" until we watched this episode
really? i didnt
I remembered all of them, but I have rewatched a large portion of the series these past few months.
ive watched all of them and half of them twice since christmas
They could always have LSP revert Pep back to normal. Course that involves being able to convince LSP into doing something
hahah
True, you need 4 jewels but FP and SP are friends with PB, and I'm sure IK would also lend his Crown jewel if asked.
Although, funnily enough, that also nullifies Gumbald's plan as well. PB did tell the story of how her family came to be to Finn, Jake, and Marceline, so they should be able to realize dumdum juice was at work. If Finn did end up hugging PB, he could have just reverted her if he found LSP and got the jewels again.
It would bring chicle back as well, so that doesn't make sense after 1000 graybles
@@kmkeiram Maybe they DID un-dumdum PepButt as well as Chicle and Gumbald, but as soon as they came back they re-dumdummed them. Is it silly? Yeah but it's also possible
Then cousin chiclay I dont know what spelling will revert back to
Fern: “There’s nothing you have that I don’t!”
*Jake shapeshifts quickly to hit Fern*
Jake: Bark Bark Bark Baaaark
Me: 😂😂😂😂😂
the picture made me wheeze when I saw it paused
Ash probably joined because he heard PB is dating his girl. 😏
I wish Ash had a retort to that time when Ice King punched him in face
@Lillian Rodriguez marcy's ex boyfriend
Yeah! Probably! But Ash treated Marceline as a slave instead of treating Marceline as an actual girlfriend.
I am so so so SO happy Pete Sassafras made a comeback. I've been joking about it for a while and it's finally happned
Meme Santa Me too!
10:35 well here you go!! Peppermint story in destinat lands
I do agree actually.
I like to think that this change in finn started from billy's suggestion to help people in other ways than fighting.
as a big AT fan I'm sad it's ending
but damn I'm kinda glad
you know, endings are needed and I don't want it to be milked out
Great video!
Am i the only one who noticed this episode had a season 1 esk style to it?
I NOTICED THAT TOO! Especially Bubblegum's face when Peppermint Butler was pretty much downgraded quite a few ages. I don't know what it is about her face, but it looked too sloppy and old to be natural in comparison to the rest of the season's artstyle
They even had Baby Peppermint Butler do the little noodle arm dance they used to do in Season 1!
That's definitely a Graham Falk drawing, for sure. He's known for having very cartoon-y expressions, especially on Untalkative Bunny.
2:26 I have noticed a wire in the wall and that is really suspicious
I like how much time you put into the segment where you're being introduced to characters who are going to fight in the war
I'm atleast 90% sure peppermint butler is a serial killer.
Realistically PB likely used old school film because it's more secure. Digital signals can be intercepted, but the only way to intercept physical media is to physically retrieve it. Plus any evidence is easily destroyed if need be.
Never thought i'd see another person as passionate about the show as myself. Its fantastic to know im not alone.
Ok but what if ash is a candy kingdom hater because Bonnie stole his girlfriend lmao. Just a fun thought I had. (Bubbline better become canon or I will riot)
Keoni V Maybe they'll pull a Legend of Korra
That's literally what I said covertly.
Uncivilized Elk HI! Also yea I had written this before I got to that part because I thought this while watching the actual episode. Love ur videos tho!
Merritt Animation Legend of Korra executed it terribly. Like most things on that show.
I think it's fantastic they haven't forgotten about all these characters, and I'm guessing we'll see even more. Maybe Goliad and Stormo?
I feel like Uncle Gumbald Could Make A Gum Version of Jake.
Eli the guy That should end well for all involved
Yes Uncle Gumbald can make a gum Jake like how Princess Bubble make her Relatives, in order to make Gum Jake he needs the Genuine Jake to get the similarities and personalities and so it's possible.
I don't think he'd be able to replicate the Stretchy Magic without Warren Ampersand. It'd be much more of a Gum Jermaine.
But gun is stretchy so it would be a mix between Jermaine and Jake
I knew you were going to comment about Finn's growth and include Jake's quote about Fiin growing like a flower. I have been looking forward to watching your review for weeks primarily because of this moment.
I was rewatching the episode recently, and noticed: the error you mentioned at 13:53 might not actually be an error. I think that was Sir Slicer sitting in the chair, not the Green Knight. You can tell from the armor details and the lack of horns.
one of your best video analysis. youve made this amazing show even more pleasureable to watch. thanks man
I think that aunt lolly was just trying to get rid of gumbald. Since she saw jake could stretch, so she knew that Finn would be safe, but didn't think that he would save gumbald, so he would splat and lolly could end the war like she did at the end of the dream sequence in the finale. Which is why she had an evil look on her face, looking at gumbald.
Bubblegum might use film to prevent the pictures being vulnerable in case of digital hack. And ... NOT PEPPERMINT BUTLER! NOOO!
I believe I've unraveld the lich's origin wich led me to the truth behind Golb. Would you like me to write what I found for you and the community ? If so reply please :)
Jason Lamorey yes please
Sure dude
ok
do it my dude
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees bro
Mental gymnastics of the sapphic variety are the best sort of gymnastics... ^^
And "Golb and the gum war" is just so fun to say...
4 years late
But bmos brother amo did try and kill him (if I remembered correctly.)
Gumbald's plan could have been ruined by... laundry, a shower, rain...
Charlotte Roy Pretty much. XD
What are you gonna do after adventure Time please don't leave youtube
Invader Charles I know I can't speak for Eric however I believe once Infinity train comes out it will be right up his alley also just because Adventure Time is ending does it mean there isn't anything left to talk about.
He does also do Steven Universe
Summer Camp Island and Hilda are upcoming shows from AT Alumni . Check those out Elk.
Yes! Infinity Train! Though there's nearly a gap of a year
And gravity falls witch will take months to understand plus there is the journal 3 book to discover
*knocks on wood*
But seriously AT is the god at finales I'm sure this one won't be bad
*Imagines thumbnail with Ice King and Finn looking absolutely done with it all*
Merritt Animation Oh god...
I REALLY REALY hope that the series finale of Adventure Time isn't bad.
Ok, I thought I finished adventure time but there’s a ton I haven’t seen. I wonder where I dropped off. I’m going to find where I left off, but this channel is helping me see it’s definitely worth getting back into.
I don’t think I ever disliked it, I just got busy with something’s
"Mental gymnastics of the sapphic variety" made me CHOKE
6:02 was my favorite part
Finale was fantastic.
themobhunter I agree, but since we're on the topic of Gumbald, I think if they were going to say he wouldn't have changed and that it was necessary to dumb dumb him we should have SEEN him try to kill her again. Maybe while they embrace, Gumbald would draw a sword or something and try to kill her but gets interrupted by lolly. With the way it ended up it just feels a little wrong.
I'm very excited for the finale and the returning characters, but also very, very sad.
I don't want... this show to end... 😭😭😭
If minny was anyone else I think Finn would’ve definitely used violence to stop her. I think Finn turned to a life of peace because he knew his mother was a helper and would’ve wanted that
Still can't believe Scorcher didnt get an actual piece of the Finale
What do you mean by that?
So, what exactly do you mean by that?
I just want to let you know that you are a great person and that you should be yourself and not let others tell you what you can and can't do. You're the kind of person that will be part of something big one day. Keep it up.
The Green knight is a reference to King Arthur. At one of his parties a green knight comes with a game similar to the game in seventeen.
Nathan Price Oh, i remember that!
I know isn't that great to find references like that. I am surprised he didn't mention the reference though. It's a weird story
I dont understand how finn doesnt suffer from crazy anxiety or existential pain.
Lich snail is almost everywhere. 11:12 I can see it on the tree with a squirrel
at 8:26 gumbalds chair looks like something lord licorice would use from candy land hahah
good lord jake's timing during that fern confrontation really was perfect. and that BARKBARKBARKARBARK really did amuse me
At minute 14:01 you overlooked another error! The shadow that you are pointing at is actually Sir Slicer without his mount. So thats 2 errors in one go (You can tell is Sir Slicer for the design of the armor and hair)
Yeah! That's definitely Sir Slicer and not Fern the Green Knight.
Uncivilized Elk, the only person who can make a 20 minute video about one episode
It makes sense for all the villains to be there at the end. Even if some of they don't hate the Candy Kingdom specifically, they *do* hate some characters that associate with/fight for the Candy Kingdom, hence choosing to join Gumbald's army
Side note: How awesome would it be to see Scorcher in a direct battle with Flame Princess??
4:32 I know this is random but with the robotic hand having only three fingers, it kind of looks like fin is flipping the bird.
IMO, Finn's devleoment in a more peaceful and warmhearted individual goes further back than Fern. I think "Bun Bun" is where I started to notice it where he preferred to talk stuff out and showed a gentler, pacifistic side.
4:33 Anyone else think Finn robot arm is doing the middle finger here?
OOOOOOOOOOOOO that music at the end is HYPE its like the series is ending AND THIS ARE GONNA BE BANANAS YO!!
I think you should do an episode regarding all the times the family has taken over the kingdom. You have chicle and lollies civil war in the pajama war, the end of stakes, you could even see the time in the first episode when gumbald almost knocked over the tower as an attempted assassination
“I’m happy there’ll be another war before I kick the bucket!”
16:35 My personal head-canon for Me-Mow's size is that she was still young in her first episode but grow older fast (like Jake's kids). (I mostly think this do to her body's new curves which she didn't have before.)
17:24 We actually saw him get out of jail in Tree Trunks wedding when the guards mistook PB's instructions of letting everyone go as letting ALL the criminals go instead of just the wedding guest.
18:07 love him or hate him you just gotta admit that armor is totally tsk tsk👌
i wish that we wil see some more episodes after finale,i will want to see whats going on in OOO
Mee-Mow was Originally Drawn by a Child-Fan, & TheCreators put it in TheShow...I Do Believe.
