I installed the Mr Cool myself to heat the basement but rarely need to cool it. As to do it yourself or it went rather well without any problems. The fan coil outside is reasonably quiet, but I like no noise. If I was to build new, I would have a hydronic system in the lowest floor with a soon to be or available heat pump that heats water. That would be very efficient.
Basically useless video. You didn't state what is the selection criteria. No discussion about feature comparison, reliability, after sales service, etc. all the things that affect total cost of ownership. The models specified only 1 is available locally.
get a long run one, all other sides are not so important because you dont want a professional hvac technician to fix your mini split, or you can learn diy skills even though it only makes worse and more pay sometimes, annnnd, get a simpler system, cos that gives less problems.
that's because they are the same, Gree is also the same, I installed 5 Gree and less then 4 years 2 went down the last road, they ain't much, all we install now is Mitsubishi, they have held up really great
Let's be honest, everything made today is designed to fail, they don't build things to last a lifetime anymore. The more things break the more money you have to spend, and the more money they make.
Avoid those made in prc because of cheap price. Also you can check the efficiency ratio. Apart from figures the brand is absolutely important. Daikin and Mitsubishi are all among the top brand.

I love my Daikin 12,000 BTU unit! It’s really quiet and cools my living and dining room with no problem!
Do you think it'll cool our 700 square foot home?
Easy it’ll cool it.
Daikin, because better quality, stylish, and strong.
Daikin are Japanese made and have been around for more than 100 years, with 10 years warranty. Hard to beat all that.
I'm trying to find a dual zone 110 volt mini split at least 12000 BTU and can't find one. They are 220 volt.
Why does it has to be 110V?
@@bertveldhuizen8699 because I don't want to run a 220 wire and breaker setup. I already have 110 at the location I want to put it at.
@@dr.brinebasterd8982it is probably that the load on a 20 amp 120 is too high.
12000 BTU is going to be the most that you can run on 110V, just based on the wattage limitations. They're out there, most brands offer at least one.
Informative
Who’s the inventor of inverter??
Daikin 12000 good for 700 square foot home? Thanks for sharing
That's a lottle small. One ton is good for about 550 square feet tops. You'll probably need an 18000/1.5 ton.

Daikin is the only legitimate brand on this list and they are a distant 3rd. Mitsubishi #1 and Fujitsu #2.
Mitsubishi is dad of all AC companies Mitsubishi heavy provide best & big indoor for better cooling best air throw
Mitsubishi and Toshiba are the best air conditioners in the world

Isn't daikin and goodman the same brand? Why daikin is so much more expensive
The Mr. Cool looks exactly the same as the Cooper & Hunter System…
that's because they are the same, Gree is also the same, I installed 5 Gree and less then 4 years 2 went down the last road, they ain't much, all we install now is Mitsubishi, they have held up really great
A lot of mini-splits are made by a couple brands.
I cant decide. They are replacing the refrigerant again.
