Common + Rares 1:05 Super Rare - 4:27 Ultra Rare - 5:34 Secret Rare - 7:04 Ultimate Rare - 8:56 Collector Rare - 10:06 Ghost Rare - 10:50 Starlight Rare - 11:21 Duel Terminal - 12:54 Gold Rare - 13:42 Got into Master Duel recently and wanted to buy some Collector Rares of my fav cards so I thought I'd share some timestamps to make it easier to compare rarities.
You forgot to mention the "Black rares" from Battle Pack (with Pot of duality and Solemn Judgment). Like classic rares but with black letters, I think they look amazing.
I started playing yugioh 3 months ago and you helped me so much with your tips. I also really like any kind of videos that u make, they all are great to watch. Congrats for your exceptional work man, hugs from Brazil
Thank you so much for the rarity guide Cali! Not only have I always needed to know the difference to avoid being scammed but this definitely helped me since I've always been a casual player who is recently becoming competitive and didn't know fully what I did and didn't have in some trades!
Just opened 100 packs of 5 different sets and got a eldorado gold box as well pulled 1 Ghost rare and they are so hard to get ! And the best looking imo! Just got back into yugioh and I’m a huge Pokémon collector but I’m digging yugioh I just rather collect then play … thank you so much for this info
Thanks for the video I just pulled a starlight rare from the new Darkwing Blast box and needed to know if it was a starlight and not secret. The card us Tearlaments Rulkallos for those curious.
Thanks a ton for the help. I’m an mtg player and I’m trying to get into yu gi oh, but everything being so complicated is so frustrating. In magic rarity is super easy to tell because every card has a little logo and the color defines it’s rarity. There are foil and non foil variations ofc, but actual rarity is still as simple as that one thing. Even the text on the cards in yu gi oh gets so wordy, I genuinely have trouble understanding them, let alone figuring out how to build a deck with cards that function well together or even just figuring out how a strategy is “supposed” to work. Everything about magic just makes it seem so much simpler. I can look through a deck and based on it’s color and just a few glances at the cards get a decent gist of how it works, but I can’t to do that at ALL for yu gi oh.
Same with me and Pokémon how’s yugioh going for you bro ?! I was a mtg player although i started with Pokémon and yugioh I’m still a huge Pokémon collector but I dropped Mtg after mtg 30th and went back to yugioh and Pokémon only for good unless It’s some of my extremely rare mtg stuff
@@JusZard yugioh’s going pretty well bro! Thanks for asking! I’m not crazy good or anything, but my goal was never to be. I’m not much of a collector or a serious player, I just like to play for fun and I’ve definitely been able to do that with yuigioh lately. Wish you the best with everything! MTG 30th was definitely some bullshit fr
I will say i love all rarities for different reasons, and some cards look better than others in certain rarities. One of my favorites has to be Ghost Rare, and untill you actually see one in person you wont understand because i have never seen a photo or video do them justice. When angeled correctly in the right lighting all the awesome colors will come out and the image will be 3D like. I love starlight rare as my other favorite, and i tell you i WILL have DPE in Starlight...... one day......
11:46 yeah my cousin want to play yugioh and she wanted me to build her a deck so I’m building her a Marincess deck. One of the cards you could get in a Starlight Rare. I looked at her and said “i love you but I don’t love you enough where I’m gonna spend $160 on two copies of one card”
I dont know if I had a fake back then, but I remember having a chimeratech Overdragon with small holo stars on the art work. Im pretty sure it was real though, I was allowed to play it at tournaments with it.
Thank you very much, you helped me differenciate my Chixiao, I was thinking it was a Starlight Rare, but does not have a silver shiny border. But a secret rare is good too, 1st one to pull.
What was missed for the tcg. Old rares with silver lettering. White and Black Rares. Normal PR, Super PR and Ultra PR. PR meaning Parallel Rare. There are only 2 Super PR in the tcg, don't be fooled by their prismatic secret counterpart. Both share ROD-EN001 and ROD-EN002.
I prefer Ghosts and Starlight much more than Ultimate rare tbh, but ultimate is more nostalgic. I also prefer the collector rare in OCG than TCG. Honestly, Japanese cards have a couple rarity that I would like to see in TCG.
Hi calli, I would really appreciate it if you did a guide on getting the correct price for the correct card and or how to guess/know when cards are going up or down in Price thanks bro
I mostly just wanted to see which cards you'd use for the ghost rares. Barkion was an awesome choice, but Ra was kinda a let-down. Whenever I hear ghost rares, the first one that comes to mind is Black Rose. I'll get my hands on it one day.
Ahhhh Cali my friend you forgot the black rares I think from battle pack 2 war of giants. That’s where i first laid eyes on mosaics and star foils and shatter foils. You did forget another type of rarity besides that, it’s some weird ultra rare mixed with secret rare but the holo in the picture is totally different. I have it somewhere lol
Ive pulled a secret Rare Gate Guardian from a Metal Raiders Booster when i was a kid and everyone thought it was fake because no one of us ever saw a Secret Rare XD
The golden boarder just doesn't fit on 90% of the card pool. Look at like goldrare gadgets. It looks disgusting. But otherwise if you look at goldsecret rare pk-traps or traphole cards, wow they look really cool.
Not all gold packs the 1st one was done right, then they tried mixing like a secret foiling on top of the gold like burning abyss and foolish burial and it looks horrendous, its a general consensus as well because if you see the prices theyre usually on the bottom most cheapest card rarity you can get
Forgot silver rare, gold rare, also they use to print cards a darker shade although it was crazy rare it really wasn't popular, they use to be a misprints but people started to seek after them and they were eventually added as some type of rarity, but they aren't shiny and don't look much different just darker, so yeah they aren't hot stuff, but I like how it became an official rarity, well done Konami!
I have a rainbow dragon i got back in 07 has like a sparkle effect on the outside like the dragon pic has. Always wondered if it was worth something cuz everyone i knew had the same card but their didnt have the sparkle threwout the whole card.
thinking on returning to ygo after being away nearly 20 years, not looking to spend a fortune to collect a few hundred nostalgic cards, where is a reputable place(s) to shop?
I have a card that doesn't fall under any of those rarities. It's a Swords of Revealing light card but it looks as if there is a shadow effect being put onto it. I've been calling it shadow rare. Don't know if that's even correct
I'm getting back into yugioh after a 5 year hiatus. I decided to run a blue eyes deck and I'm just making it max rarity. We don't use common unless necessary. But damn it has changed so much I'm gonna need a phd to play Ultimate rare blue eyes is underrated, when it goes up to $100 I don't wanna hear anyone complaining
Which rarity has a silver/holo edge? I swear I've seen this rarirty somewhere but can't find the info. Were only a few cards made? Were they prizes or something?
serious question about duel terminal rarity: I have five german cards which look like that rarity, it's undeniable. But on none of them it says duel terminal, they look like regular cards in this regard. Is it because of the german language? or did they regularly print cards now as well without them saying duel terminal?
I have a Blackwing Armor Master (PGLD-EN077) card with a small holographic dot above the name between the "L" and "A". Do you know what this is or means? I don't see it on the cards online for sale.
Question for the community- I have a Jinzo, 1st edition PSV-000 card in decent shape, but for some reason it isn’t Secret Rare? I have no idea how that’s possible, considering everywhere I look online has them all Super Rare. I believe mine is common. Is that possible?
Common + Rares 1:05
Super Rare - 4:27
Ultra Rare - 5:34
Secret Rare - 7:04
Ultimate Rare - 8:56
Collector Rare - 10:06
Ghost Rare - 10:50

You're a legend
Thanks man !
Honestly I’ve been playing for a few months and I needed something like this. Thank you Cali.
You’re new to the game ?
Where u play?
Where do you play?
You forgot to mention the "Black rares" from Battle Pack (with Pot of duality and Solemn Judgment). Like classic rares but with black letters, I think they look amazing.
Yes he did forget to mention the black rares. I was waiting for that and something else too that I didn’t see but I do possess one card of that rarity
Amazingly like commons
& parallel rares
@@Dnashtharapper & shatterfoil rares, starfoil rares, mosiac rares...
Me: already knows them all
Also me: I just love listening to him
I like your pfp

Eita, dois aqui já
finally, a rarity guide with good lighting
Thank you so much for the rarity guide Cali! Not only have I always needed to know the difference to avoid being scammed but this definitely helped me since I've always been a casual player who is recently becoming competitive and didn't know fully what I did and didn't have in some trades!
Next Video: All raritys in the OCG. This would be mad interesting
Every common is a common until Konami secretly short prints a common in a set.
cries in 15dollar rare crossheep
Just opened 100 packs of 5 different sets and got a eldorado gold box as well pulled 1 Ghost rare and they are so hard to get ! And the best looking imo! Nvm after pulling many starlights I love starlights the best !
thanks for making this video! having visuals really helps! also gosh so many rarities!
Thanks for the video
I just pulled a starlight rare from the new Darkwing Blast box and needed to know if it was a starlight and not secret.
The card us Tearlaments Rulkallos for those curious.
And thanks to you I just learned I have a Collector's Rare card from the King's Court packs I opened back when
Really needed that explanation for the newer rarities, thank you. : )

Cali! This is an excellent topic! Someone coming back to the game, like me, needed a video like this! Thank You So Much!
Unpopular opinion:
Common rare is one of the best rarities in the game it’s so simple and that makes it so beautiful
Why are they even called rarities when they have nothing to do with how rare they are? They should be called foil treatments.
Super helpful video as I get back into Yu-Gi-Oh! thank you!!!
Thank you! I think it’s very complicated, but you made it a bit simpler.
Ngl I do love seeing things you got from me in back to back videos
11:46 yeah my cousin want to play yugioh and she wanted me to build her a deck so I’m building her a Marincess deck. One of the cards you could get in a Starlight Rare. I looked at her and said “i love you but I don’t love you enough where I’m gonna spend $160 on two copies of one card”
Ghost Rare will always be my favorite type.
Great guide. I’ll be back to reference. YGO rarities are wild when coming from other tcgs.
I dont know if I had a fake back then, but I remember having a chimeratech Overdragon with small holo stars on the art work. Im pretty sure it was real though, I was allowed to play it at tournaments with it.
homie pulls a ra ghost rare like its nothing. lmao and proceeds it with "shout out to my homie el chapo" hahahah
Thank you very much, you helped me differenciate my Chixiao, I was thinking it was a Starlight Rare, but does not have a silver shiny border. But a secret rare is good too, 1st one to pull.

This helped so much honestly thank you
I’ve never owned a yugi oh card in my life. I don’t know how I ended up here but this is fascinating.
I prefer Ghosts and Starlight much more than Ultimate rare tbh, but ultimate is more nostalgic. I also prefer the collector rare in OCG than TCG. Honestly, Japanese cards have a couple rarity that I would like to see in TCG.
Very informative video. Thanks for showing us all the different rares.
The best rarity is Secret Rare since it can even make Gold and Platinum look gorgeous.
👌😉
Thanks bro you just help out a newbie to the game
Thanks for this I was confused with all those rarities
Thanks for the rarity clarity, my card feature teacher
Thanks for the video! I just started playing Yugioh. Very informative however I got dizzy from the shakiness when you hold the cards! 😅
Cali is the king of rarity’s
I remember having the ghost rare winged dragon of ra last year but had to get rid of it because I needed the money
Hi calli, I would really appreciate it if you did a guide on getting the correct price for the correct card and or how to guess/know when cards are going up or down in Price thanks bro
Thanks man!!! Awesome video!!
Yo thanks for this video!!! This was lit!
I mostly just wanted to see which cards you'd use for the ghost rares. Barkion was an awesome choice, but Ra was kinda a let-down. Whenever I hear ghost rares, the first one that comes to mind is Black Rose. I'll get my hands on it one day.
You forgot the rare with black label, harpie feather duster is only one ive seen though.
I’ve got a Solemn Judgement with that rarity but I’m sure there’s more.

If you could pick a set to buy and try to start flipping, what would it be?? Love the video!
MAGO is dropping soon!
Time to add Premium Gold Rarity to the list!
who would have thought that moving from mtg to yugioh the hardest thing to understand would be the rarities
Thank you for the rarity guide!
1st edition and unlimited (for money purposes)
Finally a vid of all rarities bruh
Thanks! I finally identified my pot of prosperity/disparity.. i think i got super rare which is in holofoil and not shiny name
I gotta ask, why does everyone hate on gold rare cards???
The golden boarder just doesn't fit on 90% of the card pool. Look at like goldrare gadgets. It looks disgusting. But otherwise if you look at goldsecret rare pk-traps or traphole cards, wow they look really cool.

Bro thank you so much just learned a lot. About to post a video soon. 1st one for my page
You the real mvp for this video
I’ve been a fan of yugioh since day 1
Im 46 and have been playing since the late 90s i also xollect cards and have ovwr 1000 cards.
I have a Madolche Puddingcess Ultimate Rare. I'm never selling it, she's beautiful.
What is the background music you used in this video? I've heard some other youtubers use it but I havent been able to find it. Thanks and great video!
Very informative. Hopefully I can remember everything. Did he cover max gold cards?
Rare Cards: 3
(All golden titles)
Super Rare: 6
Ultra: 22
(4 with different colours) (Green and Purple titles)
Secret: 10
In the rare section you forgot about black rare cards like jinzo from some set
Forgot silver rare, gold rare, also they use to print cards a darker shade although it was crazy rare it really wasn't popular, they use to be a misprints but people started to seek after them and they were eventually added as some type of rarity, but they aren't shiny and don't look much different just darker, so yeah they aren't hot stuff, but I like how it became an official rarity, well done Konami!
Secret, Ultimate, Ghost. The absolute winners imho.
I have a rainbow dragon i got back in 07 has like a sparkle effect on the outside like the dragon pic has. Always wondered if it was worth something cuz everyone i knew had the same card but their didnt have the sparkle threwout the whole card.
Don't forget the platinum rares LoL
amazing video
super helpful
konami needs to make their rarities clearer
no mention of reverse rare then
I loved the video, but i was sad that you didnt cover the reson i watch this, i dont know why some have a silver box and gold box in the corners
thinking on returning to ygo after being away nearly 20 years, not looking to spend a fortune to collect a few hundred nostalgic cards, where is a reputable place(s) to shop?
Great video! I think you forgot parallel rare! But those are old af...
dude shoutout to his boy El Chapo for that TTT XD
I have a card that doesn't fall under any of those rarities. It's a Swords of Revealing light card but it looks as if there is a shadow effect being put onto it. I've been calling it shadow rare. Don't know if that's even correct
Turned out there was no guarantee one secret per box back in the day... it was just an average. I was a disappointed kid when I found that out.
If whatever the new info means, it might be possible to obtain those duel terminal rarities. We’ll see
There’s also Platinum Rare from the Noble Knight set: I think it looks amazing!
I'm getting back into yugioh after a 5 year hiatus. I decided to run a blue eyes deck and I'm just making it max rarity. We don't use common unless necessary. But damn it has changed so much I'm gonna need a phd to play
Ultimate rare blue eyes is underrated, when it goes up to $100 I don't wanna hear anyone complaining
What of Duel Terminals covered in dots? Also, could you give your take on the top 10 budget decks in a video?
Still never pulled an starlight or ghost in my life smh
How should you balance spells, traps, and monsters in your deck?
Which rarity has a silver/holo edge? I swear I've seen this rarirty somewhere but can't find the info. Were only a few cards made? Were they prizes or something?

Even professional yugitubers forget that parallel rares exist.
As a kid I may have lost out on some money lol. Wishing I could back years from now and not ruin those cards lol
I love my Starlight Gorgon
Question for the community- I have a Jinzo, 1st edition PSV-000 card in decent shape, but for some reason it isn’t Secret Rare? I have no idea how that’s possible, considering everywhere I look online has them all Super Rare. I believe mine is common. Is that possible?
What's the purpose of the gold and silver squares in the bottom right of the card
Would you consider a collector rate higher than an ultimate rare when trying to build a max rarity deck ? Big example pot of desire
DUSA ultras are also slightly different
So say you have a secret rare (diagonal holo) but it covers the entire card, not just the picture. What rarity is that?
it rly pisses me of how he says mosaic good vid tho
Collorful ultra rares goes brrr
who remembers when Phantasmay was 150$? good times
Flexing the starlight huh hahahaha that's why i love you
I can’t thank you enough ❤🎉
So, in the OCG they have what they call an extra secret rare. Is this the same as the TCG platinum rare?
