Love London for its variety of streets to photograph - different colours and textures . Beautiful image Prof :) Then New York has an ambience like no other - the streets at dawn and dusk exude light and colour - love the light in your images!
I have to make a correction. The tower you called Elizabeth Tower is called Big Ben. Known for its bell chime, you can hear it in the video. At the end there is a picture of the tube. Do you know what settings and lens you used? Otherwise, nice video of a city that I know very well.
This is actually inaccurate. Big Ben is the largest bell within the tower, but unofficially the entire tower is referenced as Big Ben. The tower itself is indeed called Elizabeth Tower and has been called so since 2012. Prior to this it was known as the Clock Tower. You can read the full history of the Clock Tower (Elizabeth Tower) and Big Ben here on the official UK Parliament website: www.parliament.uk/about/living-heritage/building/palace/big-ben/building-clock-tower/key-dates-/ That image and full EXIF can be found here: www.professorhines.net/FineArt/London/i-cdWxdfk (just tap the "i" for info).
Hi Professor, love your work! Your videos always teach me something and inspire me to keep getting better at photography, keep it up! I'm looking into investing in a wide-angle lens and was wondering if you would recommend a 16-35 or 12-24mm lens for cityscape photography. All the best/from Sweden
The 16-35 is more versatile. It can take standard circular filters and is a more compact lens (as I use the GM 12-24 and not the G), especially the ZEISS version which I own. If filters are involved the 16-35, no question but if no filters then you can go either way. I take the 12-24 and 24-70 ZA for most of my travels, because I can obtain much of what I need with 2 lenses. For cityscapes the speed isn’t as important so you may be looking at the G version. The G is decent but I wanted the optical quality so I have the GM now. My GM was given for work I completed for Sony so that is a major factor for the change too.
@@professorhineschoice It's such a hard choice, thank you so much for your insight professor! I'm leaning towards the Sony 16-35 f4 G to be able to use my Haida filters. But at the same time, I'm so curious about shooting with a 12-24mm lens and it would complement my 24-70 so well. Once again, thank you!
Picture profiles didn’t even exist when I started so by the time they were in cameras I already had my own workflow for editing. For someone new they may be useful but for me there’s not a need. My intent isn’t capturing for the editing and is to get what I want in camera from the start.
Beautiful view Buddy! Nice set up!
Brilliant cityscaping, inspirational!
Thanks so much!
Awesome shots!! Loved this video :)
Superb photos!

Appreciate the support! Very kind 🥹
I'm from Chicago and there no cold like Chi-town cold
London's came close this morning but I believe Chicago is still the coldest I've ever experienced for sure!
Love it Man!😍👍🏻
23c and he's freezing!! 😱
23 Fahrenheit. I’m an American UA-camr so I’m going by terrible US measurements.
@@professorhineschoice ah makes sense now 😂👍

what time of the day? did you use picture profile while your taking photos?
Early morning, maybe 6am. No picture profiles used.
so you don't usually use picture profile while taking photos? I read that using picture profile makes easier to edit photo in post

I don’t see the 16-35! 👀😬
Sony sent me this 12-24 GM for this trip, so I didn’t have a need for the 16-35 this time around. Afterwards is when my permanent one arrived.
Welcome to england 😂😂
