This is the most refreshing photography content on UA-cam. No gear focus no "five easy tricks". Just following a really good photographer doing his thing.
100% Agree AND no shouting and waving around like a crazy bird with broken wings. I Love these brittish photographers/UA-camrs (Alan, Photographic Eye end Courtney Victoria amongst others). :D
Respect to Alan for being himself. Not even trying to be serious. Just goofing around and having a good time. Keep em coming! These videos are truly enjoyable to watch and inspiring at the same time.
Amidst a world creators who all try to mimic what everyone else is doing, this has a gritty, real, and genuinely humorous style to it that makes it its own thing! A favorite new channel! I’ll be waiting with bated breath for the next one! 😊
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how warm and fuzzy these videos make you feel? Great content delivered by an extremely knowledgeable photographer in a charming, often funny and endearing way. Keep it up.
Nicely done- I go to London often for work. My favorite city in the world. I just got a X2D 100C and the two zoom lenses since the V lenses are hard to find. Anyhow, I get there next Friday and cannot wait. Love this video I’ve never really done street photography and not sure why I am going to try with the X2D but I’m not brilliant. I wish I had found this channel earlier I’d easily hand you a pile up of money to hang out on a Saturday and help me learn street photography. Your shots are what I aspire to produce. So thanks for doing these videoes.
It's about time Alan has his own UA-cam channel! Really refreshing to see a true master of the craft at work, none of that sensationalist click bait rubbish. Also, the editing reminds me of mid-2000s British TV lmao
I’ve watched you from the first video, I’m sorry I’d never heard of you before, but you’re my new favourite photographer. Your approach your humour and the way you explain your technique is so fresh. Please keep it up as you are inspiring. Top fucking draw my friend
Please do more street photography as I love watching your channel. I enjoy the way you handle street photography. I am going to London next weekend so this will be fun. 🫶
You are not saying something new, but your personality, your natural yourself, your refreshing face and practicality about photography, you give lots of motivation to beginner photographers, I am glad i landed on your channel accidentally. A big , warm hello to you from Berlin, Germany.
You are a very funny and entertaining guy, I like your videos a lot. Your photography is just amazing, so creative. Thank you for sharing what you do and how you do it. Big fan!
These videos are fantastic! It’s refreshing to finally find a photographer out in the field who brings this kind of wit, humor, knowledge and helpful tips. Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been following you for years and have listened to your Covid Leica talks and your B&H lectures multiple times each. These videos are wonderful. Including the unique thinking I love you for but more room to enjoy your wonderful personality and sense of humor as well. The lectures have it but hilariously they seem to be filled with inside jokes in that no one there seems to bring a personality along. Idk, that’s the way it seems watching from home but they have me laughing out loud throughout. Anyways, bravo for this channel. I’ve been wishing it was here for ages. Lots more please!!!!
So refreshing to see someone just having fun doing street photography on UA-cam instead of being so serious all the time but still giving fantastic advice and tips, keep up the great work Alan and looking forward to seeing more from your channel and smiling along with them.
Love it.Amazing photo of the woman in the tube. And as a new manual focus camera owner, looking forward to seeing more. Maybe street portraits, and if it’s not too ‘geary’, a bit on zone focussing. I’m still a little timid about getting close enough to people for the best pictures.
Thank you. I love your pictures and now your channel as well. This is one of very few photographer channels that I can enjoy watching while learning tons. Thanks again.
Hey Alan, I've been following your work for a couple years now (on IG) and I'm glad that you decided to land on youtube. Really excited to see next videos!
I love that your style lends it self for high brow snobbyness, but yet your youtube channel is silly, lighthearted an unassuming. Excellent way to differentiate from all the other street photography channels and bring a new audience.
When I think back to what UA-cam was in the beginning, and what the majority of the content was like, it's mind blowing to see video productions with directors and more resources, than most of us could have imagined in the early days. Anyway, very interesting techniques. Thank you for sharing those.
Alan you crack me up ;-) its really refreshing to have someone who doesn't take Street photos so seriously but with it is a great photographer. keep up the great work
This is becoming my favourite photography youtube channel. Even though I'm going for a different style in my own photography, I really enjoy seeing someone with this level of skill do their thing.
There are so many useful tips here and being able to see things as you see them is the best way to open up our perception of life on the street. Thanks Alan !
I love this straight forward attitude he has 😅 and on the other hand he is so positive and enthusiastic (well, not particularly in the Intro 😂) ❤❤ We need more of this kind of content covering photography on UA-cam 🙌🏻😊
Just stumbled across your channel and really glad I did. Absolutely loved this. Loved the shots and equally the humour. You’ve set the bar for me on this video though! I’m hoping all your videos are like this!!
Very entertaining video Alan. I'll be heading to New York and hope to grab street shots during my visit. Your tips will hopefully help get some worthy images.
Pretty good, I like how passionate you are. I'm not as patient as you are. I would ask people to walk past in front of that garage door and say look this way.. You'd be surprised so many people love getting photos.
Hi, Alan, you are such an interesting guy that I never thought before. I love your demonstration and show examples that how you frame. Can't wait to watch your updates!
The British General Sam of photography! Love to see it! Amazing content and so much valuable information presented in the purest way possible! Can't wait for more videos! Kind Regards
So pleased i came across this on UA-cam. AMAZING pictures, I've picked up a few tips from you. When i go London doing photography, i walk between 12 to 16 miles.
I am just loving this .... can't seem to find any faults... which is really unusual when it comes to photography vids as we all have a view ..right... but to nail that shot with the London eye twice... and really do like that last shot of the walking women.... superb... thank you Alan and all the "team"...best regards.. Yoki..
I think this is one of the most entertaining videos on UA-cam, well done. I live in London and this has given me more reasons to grab my camera and explore London with my camera. Thank you.
Gotta say your videos are truly up there in terms of content and form. I love to see how you shoot your photos, why you do things and how you think. Just great, thank you
2 video’s already follow, love to watch you talk and make fun which is your tips easy to remember. By the way you remind me of the great Alan rickman everytime you talked.
"Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass." Anton Chekhov. This is what your work on this channel means to me. I'm absolutely inspired by your photographic eye when picturing the scene, even before taking the shot. Cheers from Peru!
I always suspected that one could be a serious artist and a goofball simultaneously, and now we have the visual proof. Thanks so much for doing these. Not just entertaining but they provide true insight into the process and locations. A real treat and great record for posterity.
I think that talking about gear in context is perfectly fine and as long as the channel doesn't become just about gear you'll be grand. Thanks for doing this!
Great - I absolutely enjoy this (new) channel. Only issue: Ever since I decide to shoot more color - then look one of Alan , I immediately change my mind … so I’m constantly totally without a plan …
This is the most refreshing photography content on UA-cam. No gear focus no "five easy tricks". Just following a really good photographer doing his thing.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
%100 agree😍
Yes it’s not about the gear at all. Its how you use it and the good frames you see.
100% Agree AND no shouting and waving around like a crazy bird with broken wings. I Love these brittish photographers/UA-camrs (Alan, Photographic Eye end Courtney Victoria amongst others). :D

The Atc in the background by the end of the video, is the extra touch of flair and charm! Bravo!
Entertaining, light hearted and fun. I enjoyed it. Keep it up sir

Came to learn about street photography and learned it's important to enjoy life. Thank you, Alan.
A refreshing change to the usual street photog's, and in my favourite city! Well done Alan!
Your beauty is in simplicity. However, it’s really hard to achieve such level of simplicity without LOTS of practice. So kudos to you, great job!

Hey Alan, I've been following your work for a couple years now (on IG) and I'm glad that you decided to land on youtube. Really excited to see next videos!
You have no idea how grateful I am that you do this.
It was also time for a true photographic artist to decide on a UA-cam channel.
Love the chaotic nature of this. Your stream of conscious thought and British sarcasm is a perfect mix. Do more like this!
I love that your style lends it self for high brow snobbyness, but yet your youtube channel is silly, lighthearted an unassuming. Excellent way to differentiate from all the other street photography channels and bring a new audience.
Thank you, Alan, for joyfully sharing your street photography experience!
Definitely a fan of your work and your sense of humour!!!
Without a doubt the best - in so many ways - photography channel on UA-cam
This video is simply so pleasing to watch (and rewatch). You are a great inspiration Alan!
