*Picks up ammo in Boss Battle* "Are these restocking?" Oh lord, how many sets of eyes, and they somehow failed to realize they never picked up all of the ammo?
I always find it both funny and slightly frustrating when people completely over analyze something in a game. Like that last fight I just kept thinking "just shoot the mine at the wall", but they somehow went from just attacking, to shooting the clock to ring a bell, to somehow connecting the whole thing to that one truck in the background specifically.
You must be new here lmao. Overthinking simple mechanics that the game makes obvious and somehow pulling out a win--despite making things 10× harder for themselves--are what these boys do best. 😂😂😂
I mean, the game gives you mines and a big boss for you to shoot them at, and with the ridiculous amount of health nemesis has it's perfectly possible to use all your mines just getting him down to the second phase. The game didn't hint that there would be a second phase where you needed those mine grenades to shoot at the wall specifically either, so not really the boys' fault. This boss is ass.
I get it, like how in the previous fight they got caught up thinking they needed the generator to get most of their damage in, when all they needed to do was shoot. I wonder if maybe the game could be clearer, but I’m not sure
Dude, Boss coffee is a legit thing. It's an actual coffee sold in Japan. Also Carlos has what is essentially a Parry instead of a dodge. If you time it right you punch whatever is attacking you right in the face and get a time slow to unload bullets into it. It's like Raiden's parry in MGR.
The first time I used a mine to knock Nemesis off the clock tower I had shot another mine first on the lower part where he jumps if he is still running. The result was him falling off the clock tower onto the second mine. I doubt it does extra damage but it was pretty cool.
It's not really a waste, they were still doing damage to him. You can take down that boss without ever knocking him down. And it doesn't take that long.
Even when they "figured out" what to do, they still didn't fully understand it. It doesn't matter where you put the mine round, you can put it in front of his path, you can even shoot it directly at him when he stops. Somehow they deduced only putting it on the red truck on fire was the only way to take him down. Classic SGS over complicating everything they do, but I guess that's what makes them fun to watch. Still infuriating none the less
Meroko Gaming well that was also one of the easiest and most clear places to put it, for most of the other stuff they had to be precise enough on the location for it to hit because there's a lot more surface area, that truck is literally a straight line
The game doesn't seem to explain much of this stuff at all. Apparently the Perfect Dodge and then counter-attacking is strong enough to knock the boss over!

This boss fight is prime example how in some games devs make it unbelievably obvious what to do with cutscenes, on screen text, flashing red zones, voiced dialogue if you don't do it long enough. Here however they decided, screw the hints. They'll figure it out xD
They make it obvious that you can shoot mines at walls in the document you read as soon as you first get mine grenades. At the same time, they never hint at nemesis having a second phase where it runs on walls nor do they make it obvious it's coming since none of his previous fights had second phases and with how much health nemesis has you can easily use up all the mines just to get him to phase 2. It's not great design all in all.
People complain about hand holding tutorials, but guys like these saying stuff like "Jill should've just said 'I gotta put on mine up there!!'" are exactly why shit's tutorialized so hard these days in the first place. Weird thing is, I was more offended by you calling me a fan than you calling me fake... I barely remember who Marvin was and just tried to make a joke about what had happened in this game.
Stay safe
@@SimplyConeh Marvin is the cop from the RE2 remake, who later died from the bite wound on his abdomen. Last episode we actually saw him get bitten by a zombified Brad Vickers, prompting remarks from the squad. We also saw Vickers get infected from a bite on his arm in the very first episode of this playthrough. Prone zombies can also go for the player's legs.
The joke does not work.
@@Fharlion You must be fun at parties.
Didn't one try to bite Jill in the calf? So...kevlar socks too?
Kevlar collar, kevlar socks and pockets full of herbs and you're good to go:)
I actually didn't use the mine tactic for this boss fight. It's entirely possible to take him down with pure damage, it's just a lot harder
I'd be happier with a RE1make in the style of RE2 and 3 than I would be with a remake of 4.
People complain about hand holding tutorials, but guys like these saying stuff like "Jill should've just said 'I gotta put on mine up there!!'" are exactly why shit's tutorialized so hard these days in the first place. Jill had like 5 dialogue lines hinting at you, you just got the mine launcher with a note describing how it works, and the game gives you like 15 rounds.
If you go to the blue key door in the west office and turn around and aim at the welcome Leon sign you get a secret voice line from Carlos
But but..... Boss brand coffee is real. It’s a super popular coffee brand in Japan. It’s in almost every vending machine, and there are more vending machines than people in Japan.
Omg they mentioned Re:Outbreak for the ps2 and the most frustrating thing about the game was the horrible AI and the fact it was advertised as an online game when everyone was to poor afford the online expansion pack for the ps2 back then and it came with Everquest when you did buy it. Lol. Very fun game
Honestly the game is pretty fun it was horrifically hampered by circumstance though yeah.
Lot of niche Resident evil games out there that are super fun but get dismissed because they aren’t “””Resident evil””””
@@charlesgray6385 i still haven't played the emulator online yet but i hear its full of try hard vets that make it too easy since everyone one knows what to do. The sequel improved on the Ai vastly since you could tell them what to do and they added more character mechanics to enhance gameplay. Considering now looking back it was full of tid bits of information pertaining to these later games. Like the hunters and the daylight cure!
The "Arta" logo is based on the Danish milk product brand "Arla".
It’s ok Jirard! We can’t all knife our way thru an RE boss without a shotgun like Davis.
the rumors are re code veronica next, and they already been working on re8
These guys may be decent at games individually, but as a group they are pretty bad haha
Whoever is playing running like they're a track team runner while there are Lickers somewhere... holy crap. Then he ran directly into a Licker and died, well maybe you should've be running around like Sonic.
I cant believe that vordt of the boreal valley has a cameo in the game.
So we dont even get to see the nemisis mutate? this whole game just feels like a demo
Best girl? I think you mean Rebecca Chambers
Today I learned It is not Wheel Barrel. I am 27 years old
I was watching a tv show when I saw this was uploaded. I chose this
Jesse you bless us with another episode I love you
So for those wondering, Nemesis can enter safe rooms, but only on nightmare difficulty and above.
I can't tell which version has a more cartoon villain Nikolai, the OG game or the remake. I mean, that smile at the end.
Oh that's why this game seems short. Boss didn't sponsor this game anymore...
22:28 How about this: "Now that was jaw-dropping!"
When Jirard freely wasted the mine rounds without knowing what they did, a piece of me died inside. Understand the fight mechanics before you just blow your entire inventory of ammo. *mega facepalm*
I would love to see a Silent Hill marathon from you guys. Silent hill 3 and 5 oh and shattered dreams being the best in my opinion. Love you Squad 💖
Jessie was right about the mines.
"Oh it's the same zombies, cool"
WHAT DO YOU MEAN *IT'S THE SAME ZOMBIES*??? WHY WOULD IT BE DIFFERENT ZOMBIES. PLEASE. PLEASE EXPLAIN.
I mean, have you seen Nemesis?
@@dorkyface This is a valid critique
Still can't get over how bad Carlos' hair looks
It's like that camo leaves stuff GIs put on their helmets or the helmet part of a sniper's ghillie suit
I was gonna buy the game but I’m having more fun watching y’all play than I would have playing it myself
IIRC; Outbreak had the only move and shoot mechanics in any RE game.
I love the crossair the scope added to that gun
BOSS Coffee isn't a fake company. It's real. It does seem they don't have the sponsorship this time.
Wait, how has Binbag suddenly become crackhead Mr. Hyde because he was involved a train crash?
Wait, so the big monster stabs her, lolteleports out into Plotsville Nowhere and then this Russian tart suddenly appears again?
I know it's a Resident Evil game, but seriously that makes absolute zero sense.
All the damage Nemesis received has destroyed his limiting coat, and due to the T-Virus and the Nemesis parasite, he rapidly mutates to compensate for the repeated damage.
Nemesis likely shuffled off to heal due to rapid mutation, and it is explained that Nicholai is collecting combat data on Nemesis's performance so he's keeping an eye on Jill due to her repeated survival against him.
@@DrWolfensteinz Limiting coat? hahaha, holy shit. Umbrella HQ:
"Sir, we have recieved the data from the latest virological bioweaponry experiments."
"Report."
"It's not good, sir."
"It's a regenerating virus monster with the ability to use advanced high-explosives and leap ten-story buildings. What the could possibly have gone wrong?"
"STARS, sir. They brought coats."
"Billions of dollars, decades of testing, sacrifice, and manipulation. How did they know to bring coats!?"
@@IndustrialBonecraft Your reading capabilities must be crappier than a 1st grader's. Nemesis's coat is a limiting jacket, it's designed to keep his body from rapidly mutating by not only protecting him from damage, but also containing his body to prevent his cells from rapidly replicating. It's why he was fully covered in the beginning.
this doge mechanic totally reminds me of the dodge you get in Alan wake, another super sick dodge you can get in a game.
Love these guys but xD they always have to over analysis and over think things that the most simplest of things end up being impossible cluster fucks xD
*Struggles on wondering how to take down Nemisis as he runs a very specific pattern with all the ammo and heavy guns*
*Meanwhile Markiplier's dumbass forgets all his ammo his big heavy grenade launcher and ends up killing nemisis with a damn knife*
I wouldn't blame Jirard for the Nemesis fight. It was fucking weird and poorly made.
When I pointed up to the welcome sign Carlos said something. The lickers do have kinda weakness, when their on the ceiling shoot them down and continue to fire. Carlos get off jills computer use Chris’s. You guys are smart how come you didn’t wait til he was on top the tower then shoot.
anyone else up for the playing RE1 remaster?
