Yes I think, the British if not stalled at all by the government, along with the Italians and the Japanese who are very good nations who build very good advanced stuff, could build a very good advanced 6 th generation fighter jet.the British were the first nation to build the harrier, VTOL jet,a class jet the first of its kind, and don't forget a lot of other things the old UK has built over the years, along with Italy and Japan, the trouble with the old USA without offense is they don't like to be out matched at anything these days.i respect the US for helping us in our time's of need, and sharing their technology with us and the rest of the world, but they can't be the best all the time.
I don't think the uk will be able to do this by ourselves, BUT with assistance from any or all of italy , spain, sweeden and maybe in the long run a non-european partner like India.
I dont know why they are even bothering with the manned version. Adding the man limits the specs and adds a ton of weight and tech needs. I suppose the issue for the Europeans is the lack of satellites for long range control - they would have a limited area of operation unless they access our military satellite network.

Bascially they are contracted to work 3 days a week and anything more than those 3 days a week (4 days on the 4th week) they receive 1.5x pay. Add to that their pensions which anyone in the private sector would bite your hand of for and the discounts they receive in many shops due to working for the NHS and overall it's a well paid job.Yes they should get a payrise, yes in general they work hard in a stressful job but the idea that they are low paid which many particularly on the Left claim is bullcrap. The NHS Budget receives around £170 billion (£170 thousand million each year) , the problem is the NHS is managed very poorly, still as we speak advertising for "Diversity managers on £60k a year" and "wellness in work managers on £70K a year"). Cut the crap and diversity bollox and use the money to pay nurses more money.Only 45.7% of the UK population are net contributors to the system, 54.3% are net recipients so get out more than they contribute, is that even remotely sustainable?. Thank You Sam and Military News. 👍🎄 🇺🇲
The question is not weather the Europeans are capable of building a cutting edge technologically advanced 6th generation fighter, but how soon, in what numbers, and how effective it will be against the adversary's capabilities in the future.
The same questions hang over the US given the rise of China and the brics nations together with the declining state of the US economy.
Soryy BREXIT is not scandalous it is democracy the choice of the people.
sure?
I don't think the uk will be able to do this by ourselves, BUT with assistance from any or all of italy , spain, sweeden and maybe in the long run a non-european partner like India.
Britain end slavery by itself
Cool , never to late in Advanced Technologies in the Aviation Field .
Amazing military tech 👍🏾
The UK can make great stuff, so I am not worried about this.
And the company in question is called Cyberdine Systems.🥴
But can Britain afford to build it, or will we give it to the USA as we did with Harrier.
you live where. the great santini.
I dont know why they are even bothering with the manned version. Adding the man limits the specs and adds a ton of weight and tech needs. I suppose the issue for the Europeans is the lack of satellites for long range control - they would have a limited area of operation unless they access our military satellite network.
As NATO members Europeans don't need to duplicate the US satellite network - they can and are contributing to it.
If there is a full war I do not think satellites will be working for long.
@@rumchjoe Yanks think they're the only ones who can do everything. Ignore him. I'm noticing a lot of resentment from them on this thread.
WRONG!!! We British are NOT IN ANY WAY involved in the trouble-struck German/French/Spanish project and even under this vile government or a still worse Labour one, hopefully we NEVER WILL be. Not least as it would then also become an open invitation to the loathsome EU institution to meddle still more in our affairs.
As things are now, we have two excellent partners in Japan and Italy, and re this arrgt too, we should ensure NO additional access is dfforded to France or Germany.
you may be a dreamer. Japan may be a good partner, but dealing with a right-wing nationalist and unpredictable Italian side will be real fun. You also believe that we still have the strength to handle such a project. We have maybe a handful of companies that are technically world-class. The rest are sub-par and we'll be disillusioned and really hit with soaring costs on the project. The gap between aspiration and reality in our country is widening. We can't even manage to fill the shelves in our supermarkets, equip our NHS properly and pay our nurses correctly..... but we are independent now and see the benefits at every turn.... We are going to fall flat on our own asses
@@gerhardma4687 Drivelling fact-free twaddle from obvious dogma-infarcted zealots bores me rigid, I'm afraid, so shoo and sermonise someone as deluded as yourself
@@gerhardma4687 Italian companies make some very good quality tech and machinery in general. The ploitical issue is the same with many countries. germany has sat on the fence militarily wise for decades as has the french in relation to it's NATO membership in spending 2% of GDP on it's armed forces. In fact only a handful of NATO members have invested in their military including the US,UK,Greece and Slovakia or Slovenia. The rest have failed to live up to their obligations so my point is doesn't matter what group/club a nation belongs to if there is no politcial will to invest. Regarding shelves being filled, totally agree and as usual it's because our politicians can't think more than 5yrs ahead. You mention nurses pay, I have family members who work in the NHS, Paramedic practitioners etc and they do deserve a pay rise however the idea that they rely on food baks and are paid badly is laughable.
Firstly nurses are on average paid £34k pa for a contracted week of 36hrs a week made up of 3 x 12hr shifts for 3 weeks of a month and 4 shifts of 12hrs for the 4th week of a month. Add to that the fact that only 10% of NHS Prescriptions are paid for, 90% are "free". You did bring up the Nurses and NHS.
Apart from that I can agree with you. 🙂
Lulz, calm down brainwashed kid:D
@@AdrianSams Well said Adrian, you’ve stated facts that are nor well known. It’s the top administration and poor control of top consultants that really needs addressing. first off NATO has nothing to do with it
it is being developed by the British and Japanese
Yes. The Japanese FX project has merged with the Tempest fighter, but Italy is also in as an equal partner.
@@001Jonno do you remenber by who has built tornado and ef2000? and where is assembled and rapair american f 35 an other american plane ? in Cameriry thae first in venice officine aeronavali the second .
@@lucianorosarelli-xr5lr A four, later three, nation consortium called Panavia built the Tornado. The Eurofighter is built by a four nation consortium, which I think is just called Eurofighter. Many Brits will argue that British Aerospace primarily designed both, but that's up for discussion. Assembly of the F-35 is done at three sites: off the top of my head, I think they're Fort Worth Texas, Cameri near Milan, and somewhere near Tokyo. I haven't heard of anything about Venice.
NATO? You mean the UK that is 🇬🇧💪
Sure looks like an updated YF-23
Well that’s the rumoured plane that Japan was working off for it next gen. But they maybe now joining the uk in the Tempest program
It looks nothing like one. It's more like a stealthy Tornado to me.
‘Scandalously withdrawn from the EU’ ????
How dare we regain our status as a sovereign nation!
Hoping the Brits succeed.
The Tempest project aircraft looks a lot like the USA's F-22 twin engine aircraft on the outside.
When you take aircraft design to a conclusion similarities are always going to happen.
What, because its got wings and engines just like the f22? Come to think of it, it looks like a lot of planes....

A Harley is an American motorbike. 😂 You are confused, are you talking about an Austin-Healy, a classic 50s sports car whose scroll seal would leak after a long time. One classic old car that's worth >$50000 now!
Modern cars do not leak, I own a jaguar F-type that does not leak oil. Theres plenty of american cars that have a lot of stock faults, you are using a poor generalization!
British engineering such as Rolls Royce lead the world, you only have to look at Jet engines used on modern Aircraft. The US B52 bomber is just getting an upgrade to RR engines!
Oh! dear, british engines on your Nucleasr bomber force!
And just for interest about leaks the US Lockheed SR71 used to leak fuel all over the runway before takeoff because of it's high speed the design had loose fitting panels and this affected the fuel tanks!
Doesn't that resemble the F-23. Like a modern version.
Does BAE intend to use a Glass Cockpit.
This is a BAE project, no NATO...ffs.
Will it run on windows 98 like the latest aircraft carrier ?

Barley mentions Japan and Italy merging projects. It's a virtual done deal.
You forgot another player The Swedish, already having a 4.5 Gen Saab Gripen ..
In the coming years it sounds like the NATO Alliance will still be strong but without a dominant partner (i.e. the United States). This conflict in the Ukraine has made Europe nervous enough and has shown their vulnerabilities such as being dependent upon an aggressive and unpredictable neighbor; Russia. I think that the one country poised to become the dominant power in Europe is France. Access to the sea both north and south as well as promoting energy independence through such so-called controversial energy sources (nuclear) and large areas of food producing land will make France able to make its own way in the world while still keeping a foot in the door with NATO.
France, ie the French?
@John Goldsworthy -- What about Germany?
The USA Will remain the dominate power in NATO for the simple fact the we pay 90% of NATOs bills. Once we get ride of this demented old fool of a President (the worst in the history of America) The USA will continue to dominate. We learned the lesson of WW2. It’s not what is ON the surface of the ocean, it’s what lurks Below that is the power of the USA all 65 of them. Not one ship of an enemy would survive the first week of a conflict. As proved in the Ukraine war, the might of the USAF would dominate in one day, no one has even a hint of the stealth attack and complete destruction of a countries infrastructure if the USA enters a war without restrictions. Why do you think we just announced the B-21 Raider which has a radar signature of a fly. As with the F-117, still in service, the Aurora sixth generation fighter is already flying, they just haven’t told you about it. France, 1 Aircraft Carrier, USA 13 Carrier Groups.
@JamesJ30t Germany couldn't field a fully staffed and equipped brigade. They have been happy to let the USA handle that for them. France, while better off, doesn't have the will or the capability. NATO without the USA is nothing.
@@ruger3268 -- From what I have heard Germany has made significant increases to their milatary budget. Also at 3.85 trillion they have highest GDP of any western European nation.,

두 섬나라가 하는 건 믿음이 안감..
It has SFA to do with NATO. It is an all British aircraft! Japan and Saab have been brought in pst design as partners who will build and use the jet and last time I looked, Japan was not in bloody NATO, a now useless EuSSR body
The result of the Tempest will be a Jas 40.
Did the UK/BAE Systems make any part of F35🤔

Yeah lets not forget American companies are notorious for bribery and corruption when it comes to obtaining contracts and have been sanctioned more than once so one of them sticking their oar in and scuttling the project wouldn't be the first time. Do I think it will come to be I think it is possible but only time will tell. As far as the multinational European fighter goes there is a bit of a history of too many cooks and it wouldn't be the first time someone took their bat a ball and went home.

Actually, 6G fighters should be unmanned and low cost. It is a waste of money and lives to put a pilot in a fighter, when there is no need to.
