Oakley Crankshaft Sunglasses: Unboxing & Review

I’m always looking for rad new shades in my rotation, you know me lol, and these sunglasses kept appearing on my newsfeed. Soooo, I had to cop these, as they are my first pair of Oakley’s. Just like my many pairs of shoes, gotta switch it up with sunglasses as well. Very similar to the Gascan model, these are the Crankshaft sunglasses from Oakley and these are the Jade Iridium lenses with black frames. I don’t know the whole science behind these lenses but Oakley sunglasses feature high definition optics technology to give you clearer, sharper and superior vision when wearing these. And wearing these just makes your vision that much sweeter. There’s several different colors to choose from with some of the other ones having polarized lenses making them higher priced. This particular pair is around $80 and was $153. So it was pretty much on sale and I saved 50%. Yea that's why then, bc mine are polarized prism lenses uva uvb all that plus mirrored.

Those rims look transparent like you can see through then a little, mine are the frost so I can see through mine but they look like ice

If you think that’s cheap I just bought 3 pairs brand new within the last couple months all for about $160 black matte camo polarized matte black iridium polarized and a clear matte I guess with them being discontinued prices have come way down especially from 3rd party sellers. They are great shades but retail is just ridiculous If I’m paying over $100 for some oakleys they better be some flaks, radars or metal lol

I tripled up on these when I found some crazy online sales on proozy and eBay and I paid less than the retail for one pair for all three they have been discontinued so that might have something to do with it but Ive also bought a couple pairs of brand new flak 2.0 XL’s and radars for less than $115 each in the crankshafts I have a matte clear pair, matte black camo, and the matte black polarized black iridium they fit me perfect gas cans are a little smaller but still fit me great I have the matte steel and silver prizm lenses I scored brand new on eBay for $60 IMO that’s the only way to go buying straight from the retailer your getting took on eBay it’s easy to find reputable sellers and if for some reason they are stupid enough to try to sell you fakes then you can return them no questions asked at their expense. I’ll say once you start a sunglasses collection it was like how I was and am with watches it can get a little out of hand 😂 I will say if your willing to branch out from Oakley SPY optics also makes some very high quality sunglasses for what you can find them for 3rd party if you like the wrap look specifically any variation of the spy dale Jr dirty mo series and the spy generals are very high quality robust sunglasses that I like just as much if not more than my oakleys they are definitely more heavy duty feeling than my crankshafts, gascans, and fuel cells, Which all still have a little light leak but not my spy’s I also think the stock lenses are higher quality as well just food for thought.

Are they polarized or prizm ? Those lenses cost more.

These aren’t prizm for sure. They have jade iridium lenses

@@50WTLYD they have the same ones but the crankshaft for like $87 I was thinking about getting them they're not polarized or prism but they are jade iridium like yours..
