  • In this video, I walk you through the steps to either disable or repair a faulty washer fluid level sensor on a 2021 Mazda CX-30, though I suspect other Mazda models close in model year likely use the same parts (you will need to confirm).
Make sure not to use washer fluids with additives such as bug removers or rain-x, as this is known to cause residue buildup on the sensor and will cause the floater inside it to get stuck and potentially fail again in the future. I just use the basic blue window cleaner type washer fluid.
Here are affiliate links where you can purchase the same sensor I used to do this repair from Amazon. I receive a small commission from these links and appreciate you supporting me!
    WASHER FLUID LEVEL SENSOR: amzn.to/4drkOJV
    WAHL HAIR CLIPPER OIL: amzn.to/4d9sbGc
This is the oil I used to lubricate the rubber sensor gasket, allowing it to slide into the opening more easily.
    RETAINER CLIPS: amzn.to/4dcQljc
When you remove the access panel, you need to remove 3 screws and a few retainer clips. The retainer clips are "one time use", so when they are removed you will not be able to re-install them. I purchased this pack of new clips, for re-installing them. Note that the 3 screws will do an adequate job at holding the access panel in place. Adding the clips back is just for added enforcement.
