    I very much like to see someone appreciate what they have, (unfortunately I’m not one of those people!) it’s like you woke up and said I’m going to do a video today! I think you will get much joy out of these!

      Oh I always appreciate what I have, I work hard for it. This vid was out of the blue. I was messing about with both synths and thought I would do a vid of them side by side as I hadn't seen one here on the Tube. Thanks for the comment and the Sub, very much appreciated.

      You will love it. Sounds far better than the price tag suggests and build quality is great. Andertons always give a fantastic service.

      For the money they both sound great. Well worth buying even if it's just to play around with.

    The issue with the keyboard is the fact the instrument is paraphonic, not polyphonic. This means the envelopes won’t retrigger if the envelope has run its cycle. If you were to change the envelope settings you would be a lot happier with the results.

    • @AndyFirebladeMuza
      @AndyFirebladeMuza  8 місяців тому +1

      You are correct, it is paraphonic. I wouldn't call this an issue as such, I would say it is a quirk of the synth being built to an extremely low budget.

      @@AndyFirebladeMuza It was great to see the effect of the paraphonic set up on a first impression video. You showed real-world results for a brand new user.

    Thanks. Could you do another using a midi keyboard?

      I can do that for you. Anything particular you would like to see/hear? I will use my M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49. I will do the video ASAP. I will go through the patches with some effects from my TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 for @Curious_Skeptic

    damn dude. those adapters are freakin me out!!! *what even IS that* ?! a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch to XLR ??? wow

      @AndyFirebladeMuza  9 місяців тому

      Just a 1/4" TRC going into a 1/4" to 3.5mm TRC adaptor. Thy look bigger than they are due to how small these synths are. Will be making some cables with 3.5mm on one end and 1/4" on the other as they do look unsightly but, they served the purpose.

    Really wish youtubers would run these through effects. Who is goring to really play any synth dry. Not sure I've ever heard a pro record without effects. No point in caring what it sounds like dry. It's just ugly and boring. Even some $10000 synths will sound horrible without effects.

    • @AndyFirebladeMuza
      @AndyFirebladeMuza  9 місяців тому +3

      When doing a play through of patches it's about hearing the synth. If the synth has effects then fair enough but if not then don't use effects. Simple fact is, people get influenced by videos in order to decide if a synth is for them or not. Running a synth through an effect unit will 99% of the time make it sound better. A potential buyer could then purchase the synth in the video, connect it up and be very disappointed with the sound. Many people don't read video descriptions so wouldn't know if effects were used or not. Personally I want to hear how the synth sounds, not how the effects sound. Thanks for the comment though and I get your point.

      @@AndyFirebladeMuza Each to their own. The issue I have is, these are super budget units. We are talking about cheap of the cheap. It's important to show just how AMAZING a cheap synth can sound. Many of us who are in this budget market know we need effects. So, having an 'idea' of what the synth would sound like wet, is very useful. Otherwise, if we are honest, they all sound just about the same. It's really about tactile controls, user friendly, features, but at the end of the day? No one uses dry sounds. All good. Not my channel. I'll just buy one and see how I like it, and do my own video with effects, LOL.
