Driving through central Hamilton is not bidirectional but there are two separate one-way drive, one is main street West -> highway8 -> main street East, as shown in this video (i.e. from East to West one-way drive). Another is King street West -> highway 8 -> King street East (i.e. from West to East one-way drive). It is confusing for the drivers who came Hamilton for the first time.
Do you know why the people live in Hamilton, not in Toronto? That is the same reason why people do live San Diego, not in Los Angeles.
