Very proud Hamiltonian here you did us proud with this video! Amazing job capturing many aspects that make our city so great as well as the true reality! I like and respect when videos like this are not sugar coated!!!
I lived there for 35 years. I moved in 2021 after selling the house I bought in 2008 for $209 thousand for $ 899 thousand! It was a seller's market and I had to move for work. I enjoyed my time there but do not miss the never-ending LRT fiasco and expropriation of buildings that were still empty when I visited this past summer. I do miss a lot of the different food options ... no German food where I am now. Thank you for your video and the memories ✌
The HMCS Haida is the LAST Tribal Class Destroyer in the world. It's an amazing, rare opportunity to experience such a vessel and they have Navy vets as well as Parks staff to answer questions. Next door to the Haida at CFB Hamilton is the 31 Service Battalion Museum which houses the largest display of Canadian Women's Army uniforms in the country (CWAC). It's small, but it's a hidden gem with rare army artifacts you would have trouble finding anywhere else.
Finally I cool channel about Canada stuff that goes straight to the point, not like many out there making drama about their own life. Thanks for sharing this. Have been living in this city for some years and although I have been like in 60% of the places you presented, you pointed out missing gems that I still need to explore. The biohazard times has prevented me to learn more about this city and I see the time I have missed. Thanks again! All the best bro! Cheers!
Love your stuff - the clips are personal, you share the history, and it veers away from the usual script I see in other videos on the same area. Will definitely check out some of these when we move to Hamilton.
Ooh one thing yoh missed my dude pane del sol on john street absolutely a hamilton classic legendary plsce also tally ho main st. West ..you rly did a good job here man appreciate
Both my parents were born in Hamilton, and I was born in Hamilton and lived there till like i was 2 years old, then moved and grew up in Grimsby. I moved around a lot with my family, but I have now lived in Dunnville for 16 years, and i still visit Grimsby and Hamilton.
Yes I used to live on the mountain when I was a Kid it was the Mountain Theatre, we used to go to Saturday matinées there , Hamilton is a nice city . The Work Force of Canada all the steel built Toronto One day I hope to go back & see it again I had happy times there
You did a fantastic job with this video. I go to Hamilton every year and you showed me some attractions I didn't even know about. Also, you gave a very fair assessment of the town and the folks that live there. I look forward to checking out your other videos. "SUBBED!" 👽✌️
Loved living in Hamilton/brantford for about 4 years in the 2010’s. Ancaster has snobby folks for no reason but Burlington is really the cats ass if you want a nice city to visit. Oakville is very nice too
Brave coming to a Hamilton video and suggesting that Burlington is better. Can't think of a single thing to do in Burlington that doesn't have an equivalent that's better in Hamilton.
lol it’s funny how you said “the rough parts” with cop cars and it’s literally across the street from my area, proctor and st Clair , which is beautiful lol. This city is so day and night lol but I love it lol 18:24
I wish more people would get that each neighbourhood is totally different and going over one street can totally change the vibe. Your neighbourhood is gorgeous!
Thanks for vid. Hamilton is not my hometown, Niagara Falls is. I moved here in the 1980s and then left to teach English, in Asia, in 1997. I always liked living here and returned last year, back to The Durand neighbourhood from whence I came. Glad I came back home. The people here are super friend;y and nice. It's a great place to live.
We get a bad rep ...sure its rough every city is the swme story i drive a big rig i can tell u every city in the country is the same story ..only difference is severity and scale ...theres alot of good people in hamilton .
Well made video that shows the good side of Hamilton. Unfortunately, having worked and lived in the Downtown area for 10 years, I would not recommend Hamilton to anyone. Dirty, dangerous, dumpster fire.
man i cannot tell you how many times I've been threatened and harassed for simple public street photography and vagrants come up to you especially in gore park telling me "there's going to be problems if you and your camera don't get the f out of here.." ever since 2019 i feel less and less safe in the downtown area. used to work in Jackson square. place is a near ghost town now! its sad and on top of it all the gun violence my god. 41 shootings this year alone?!? ffs....
Bottom line. Hamilton is one of the ugliest cities in Ontario. A.K.A Barfalo of the North. The air is bad. The population has been exposed to metal poisoning and if it wasn’t for unions with health insurance there would be less health care.

Hello from Naples, Florida. So much to see and do there, for sure. Thanks for sharing the amazing views with us, have a great weekend 👍 💯 ❤
Hi! Wow I love Naples Florida! Thanks for watching.
9:05 This was in the Handmaid's Tale when the husband makes it to Canada with the daughter and June is left back in Gilead.
Interesting, thanks for the info!

one of my favourite spots in Hamilton has to be Concession street. great shops, restaurants and a historical movie theatre.

@ less homeless
Nicer houses
Safer neighborhoods
Better restaurants
Less needles
Well done video 😊
Thank you
My hometown, I really do miss it especially after my first move. But as a military brat I’ve gotten used to not sticking in one place for too long. 😂
Thank you, as I requested you do my ' Hometown ' ♥️🇨🇦😊
Agreed. Great, comprehensive tour of Steel Town 🍻

So much potential, laying in wait. Abandoned but ready to explode. We just need a new industry to breed hope.
That’s exactly right.
I did leave in 1975,moved west,no regrets
😎👌
Otherwise, great video.
My friends and I got caught jumping off that lift bridge as it went up
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to ride that bridge to the top. Never wanted to jump in that water tho 🤢
@@glasbo it’s a blast we stood on a support and rode it up waited till the ship passed then dove or jumped into the canal
Like 9 👍 💯 ❤
I ❤my hometown...miss it every day
It’s nowhere near what it was I was very disgusted and disappointed to see what Hamilton has become
We get a bad rep ...sure its rough every city is the swme story i drive a big rig i can tell u every city in the country is the same story ..only difference is severity and scale ...theres alot of good people in hamilton .
That's 37 more than I was aware of
Well made video that shows the good side of Hamilton. Unfortunately, having worked and lived in the Downtown area for 10 years, I would not recommend Hamilton to anyone. Dirty, dangerous, dumpster fire.
Yeah, keep it our dumpster fire!

I left hamilton 7 years ago after living there for 20 years...the trash walking around is ridiculous
Born in hamilton,,,its a ghetto now
👍👍
Is this city good and cheerfull for life ?
Yes it is!
depends what you expect out of it.
After 20 years i left 7 years ago... the last 7 years the city fell apart i wouldn't let a dog live there let alone decent people

This city has so much potential but their economy is too reliant on ugly steel mills
1st thing you shouldn't do is invest in Hamilton.
The City is not the same.
Sorry
Don't listen to this guy about the safe part.
No. 1 LEAVE!
My 4 years at McMaster were enough lol
