David Paich, your key touch is out of this planet. Keep making good music and know that you are amazing 👏.
Paich is a genius songwriter/producer/piano player/synth player extraordinarie. Have met him. Best hang ever.
Fuk he’s a legend David Paich! I have so much respect for he’s talent and work!
That's a great story David Paich asks Walter Becker "What are you reading these days?"
And Walter says " Children's Nursery Rhymes, Look"
And it was Georgie Porgie Puddin' Pie !
And Toto Recorded It !
OMG I love this Docu-Series with all these great Piano Players.
This man deserves so many awards.. he’s definitely underrated and should be more celebrated than he is.. HE IS A GENIUS
David Paich, in my opinion, is one of the best piano/keyboard players I have heard. His solos are incredible! My late and great husband, T Lavitz would agree. David has got to be one of the most well rounded person, composer, and musician a person could aspire to be.
He is known for effective and simple solos I think
Have you seen Toto live?
He really is, Lavitz RIP would know. I've met Paich plus seen Toto live. It's a trip.
Agreed. People like to pee on the Toto boys but the entire band especially Paich, Lukather and Steve Porcaro are still among the worlds best players on their respective instruments.
He is amazing
David Paich plays one of the electric piano tracks on Steely Dan's classic 'Black Friday'.
He makes that thing talk!!! He also makes it look easy!! It's no surprise though, coming from one of the best keyboard players and songwriters from one of the best bands on earth!!!
Genius, humble and gentle. A great advert to music.
David totally fits in on this series, let me tell *you*! During his Ray Charles emulation, he practically bends that piano like an electric guitar!
Love the Georgie Porgie classic!!
he makes it all look so simple!
I luv the rhodes!
Damn , when David raves about Ray Charles ..... then he plays some stuff that is not only Mind bending but also Note bending . toward the very end of his improv he makes it sound like there is a Pitch bend . Genius Player
holy expletive! that is killer.
Musical Genius
Ambrosia for ever !❤🎹👍
I bought my 73 about 20 years ago from a guy in SF. He said his dad was friends with DP and Toto had owned it. I’d love to know if it was in any recordings.
Love these stories! So much history in these songs❤️🎹
I luv how David played the Rhodes in "baby be mine" in the thriller album. he did a couple of chords in that song that i cant figure out!
he's a great talent! he is his father's son! and he makes the Rhodes sing.
Actually that Greg philjnganes track
just a genius, what else can be said!
Loving the sound of the Silvertop Paich is playing in this video. Very unique and warm tone. Weren't these made in the 60s with the wooden hammers?
Hearing that reminds me of the intro to “Bloody Well Right” by Supertramp.
Dave の才能は凄い!
Dave's Father is a "little" talented as well - talk about an amazing family, just like the Porcaro's.
the americans have to the king of electric piano's fender rhodes, wurlitzer, kurzweil, rmi, ned etc. fender rhodes and the wurlitzer are my favorites.
