Nice vid mate, my misses and I did the same walk/hunt 2 years ago, had the same mosquito nets lol, saw a chamois on the stream crossing and 4 red deer on the island 15 mins from car park, great country.
Great footage mate!! NZ what beautiful country. Can't believe you didn't run into other hunters... Was so nice to see the hut not vandalized and graffitied. Would hold onto your partner she is gung-ho defiantly a keeper!!
yeah i expected a few people in there. some before us via the hut book, but also heard roumers some aussie flogs wer thermalling in there that week before also. pretty sad really. it is awesome country , an i hear ya ;)
@@HillDogTV Yeh mate. give us a bad name. Can't stand thermalling and spotlight cowboys leaving their empty bourbon cans lying around. See plenty of that shit where I hunt mate!!

Hunted there a few years ago, out of season. Still had a few roars going and tahr on the river flats
not sure many tahr on the flats these days!? could be wrong tho ha ha! really nice place
