its not abt wether or not they sang poorly at the encore stage, but some people are using this opportunity to attack the idols and call them untalented or bad singers and i think thats why some are so focused on defending their faves.

its actually harder to sing after dancing than while dancing. on iland, rain tested the applicants with this. also, another thing is that they dont hv their earpiece, which is the reason why they can find the key and tune their pitch edit: wow this got way more attention than i expected just to add, yes theyre trained for this, but it is still hard to hear yourself on stage because the music is loud, and not just the music but the booming of the sound system literally reaches your chest (ive been on stage, dancing tho, but it felt like that. like the speakers were controlling my heart). besides this, they record multiple times per day, not just the one you see on screen, and their dances arent the easiest. they probably also havent eaten the whole day because dancing after eating is the worst possible decision ever. should they get more vocal training? absolutely but you have to understand that their schedule is jammed pack. they have comebacks every half yearly, concerts, fansigns, fanmeets, kcons, cfs and others, on top of training (enhypen literally lives and breathes the airport) so maybe be a little more empathetic before throwing hate to them. not to mention a lot of companies force idols out of their range (twice for example in ycsm and le sserafim's fearless, where chaewon, yunjin and sakura are more comfortable with higher notes)

Momo is still traumatized after all the hate she got off that encore stage… she sang a lot better on right the next encore, but her mood was already down, and now even on latest encores she’s often facing away or not interacting with members and camera as much. It’s literally just an encore, where idols are supposed to be able to mess around and have fun **after** getting a win. There is no right for someone to hate on an encore performance just because they *expected* good vocals. Your disappointment is your own fault, let the idols breathe after an exhausting performance, skip some lines, talk instead of sing, mess around with their voice. Yes there are some idols who aren’t the best at singing but excel at something else. But even the best singers sometimes have a bad day and you shouldn’t judge a vocal just based on one encore stage. anyways, too many words, i think most of this should be fairly obvious.
You can still be on key and have fun. A lot of idols sing good while stille being able to enjoy themselves. Momo is just a bad vocalist and jype does nothing to help her improve

I hope y’all realize that in some of these the idols don’t have ear-ins and literally can’t hear themselves. It’s hard to be on key when you can’t hear the key 💀 Edit: I am a classically trained musician and have a lot of experience with in-ears and have worked with plenty of singers. They also have their bad performances as well. And no, I’m not excusing awful singing but a lot of fans that have no idea what it actually takes to sing on pitch every time need to get real with themselves. It's hard to be encore when you have loud music playing in the background and you're trying to sing with all that going on in the background. Respect to anyone who sings on stage infront of millions because it's not an easy thing to do even infront of a small crowd.

Your voice can only take so much over a short period of time. Ever notice how at award shows performances are almost perfect? Because they only have to sing that one time. There are alot of factors involved like also their range. Another thing to consider is voice training. Some singers don't have any and just sing not using the correct techniques.

So true!! I've watched so many idols sing perfectly even though they're having fun with their encore stage and even jumping around. A bad encore is a bad encore, no excuses but it doesn't mean that an idol can't sing. I have read so many comments telling that they are tired, etc. But they are tired too during concerts so why can't they do it on encore stages? I'm just stating my own opinion, no hate on any idols.

For some of them you can see that the idols don't have in-ears in, which means they can't hear themselves or the music clearly over the noise of the crowd and reverb around the stadium, so it's fair that their vocals aren't the most stable. In the end, encores should just be for them to have fun and celebrate! ❤❤❤

The reason they got hate wasn’t because they skipped lines.. it’s because of their vocal performance they didn’t sing well and also at the end the members except for jungkook left their drums on the stage and left without greeting the staff, they also forgot the trophy on the stage. I still remember the buzz it created in the Korean side of the fandom, there were speculations that the part was left on the broadcast without editing on purpose

It's probably because they don't have their in-ears on... If you sing in a stage that big with very loud background music without in-ears... YOU WILL NOT HEAR A THING! and it makes it hard to stay in tune
Also BTS didn't have their In-Ear Monitors, so they couldn't hear their voices well. That's a crucial fact for vocalists, thats also probably why Jin was surprised while he started singing and Jimin skipping his line. (I think Le Sserafim also didn't have their ear pieces)

As I know encore stages are where these groups celebrate their win and where their allowed/required to ACTUALLY sing live with NO back-up vocals, and you saying that their performance sounded fine DURING the actual performance, where its literally more likely that they were actually lipsyncing or being backed up by back-up vocals, so meaning the encore stages are more "real" and live than the actual performance, and there have also been instances where these shows actually edit or "clean" the performances of idols before putting it here in yt, especially if its a pre-recorded performance

Some idols like Jungkook are naturally talented with ability to match pitch near perfectly most times, but there are many other idols that are not, this is a good example. Not being able to hear certainly doesn't help though.
He's not naturally talented. I remember on their show(BTS ON STAGE, I think?) was that he(and Tae probably) were the only ones who got vocal lessons while Jimin had to watch them from the windows.

Vocal lessons can only do so much for you, and they're only usually done to ensure that the singer is using correct techniques that are specifically designed to try to preserve their voice as much as possible. Without vocal lessons, when projecting your voice outward for example you risk wrecking your vocal cords or developing vocal nodules both of which can put an immediate and severe hold on your career if you are a musician. All vocalists get vocal lessons. It's industry standard. It's the injury that can happen by not that encourages these companies to make sure their talent is appropriately trained. It's partly why idols have a long training period. To be able to sing well you have to have the voice and ear for it, and these things both occur naturally. You are either naturally inclined or you're just not. There's not a lot that can be done to change this. If you absolutely needed vocal training to be able to sing well then I can guarantee you that Justin Bieber and the like would have remained an unknown teenager.
@@allyssatan I don't enjoy BTS' music nowadays either, I don't like Jungkook's music direction now, but if I'm being unbiased when judging people's talent which I should be and am then it's undeniable that he has natural music talent to some degree. Of course he's formally trained relentlessly for many years in music as well, so not everything is natural, but it takes natural talent to know how and when to best use these.

Yeah, but in encores you're not required to do your choreography. You're literally there to sing live to prove that you're worthy of winning _(and enjoying the win as well, but so many have mentioned that so I won't bother)._ Let's not put KPop idols on a pedistal since there will be some things they didn't master. More vocal-focused groups like Mamamoo sound wonderful on encore stages especially with their stage presence, while more choreo-focused groups like Aespa _(I think they're choreo-focused since many said they lipsync)_ tend to highlight their choreo more, thus forgetting to enhance their vocals. If your fav. doesn't sound good singing live, then they're good at something else. Some are better at rapping, some are batter at dancing, while some are total ACEs that could surprise you. These people in the video aren't that good in singing, so they must've practiced something else. That means you shouldn't make excuses for your favs and they don't deserve hate.

I said that ON is an extremely exhausting choreography & one of the hardest choreos of BTS so it must very hard for them to breathe after performing it. They weren't wearing in-ears hence, they can't hear themselves properly. It's totally wrong to say that the ones in the video don't sound good live judging on this one video. Idk much about the rest but all of the vocal line of bts sounds great singing live, they sound better than the recordings. Idols in general have such packed schedules so they all must be very tired & not all idols have great breath support like some do. Netizens should not hate on idols for skipping a line & having a mild voice crack when they are not even performing (like singing after they receive a prize).
it doesn’t look like bts (besides jungkook i’m guessing cause that boy will always give his 200%) were focusing on their vocals in that encore. at least from the short clips shown. jin also looked confused ?? besides the voice crack at the beginning , v sounded fine. in general , i’ve noticed bts don’t put a lot of effort into their encores. which is fine because you can really see how hard they try for their actual performances. they sing live almost all of the time so i don’t think they need to prove anything with a silly little encore.

The point is. Encore stage is the only place on tv broadcast where they can show off their livesinging skill ability as an idol. If they can sing while dancing on stage, why they can't sing while enjoy the stage too? They don't have too perfectly sync the dance move, they just have to sing. The problem is, why they sounded very different. Thats the point. Because in encore stage they don't need to dance, they have stable normal breathing.
when you are a natural born good singer you can sing with no effort almost anytime, anywhere, but most kpop singers arent natural singers, they just have a mediocre voice that sounds better with autotune and thats good enough. An example is Ariana Grande when she is dancing or jumping she can sound tired or out of breath but you still can hear that her real voice is beautiful. I like to hear the Encores bc even if they are just playing around or taking it seriously you can recognize who is actually a singer with natural talent and who isnt. This days it doesnt matter, you can become a famous singer with not talent for it, not just in Kpop, everywhere. But is fun and surprising when you can actually hear a real one.

Not really but the question is how those singers can sing perfectly while dancing and being out of breath but then be standing and having not one stable line. When you are trained at singing, you don't automatically get bad in the next moment, you are at least decent all the time. And I am a multi stan by multiple groups but it's a fact that so many idols infact cannot sing and need autotune to sound decent

its actually harder to sing after dancing than while dancing. on iland, rain tested the applicants with this. also, another thing is that they dont hv their earpiece, which is the reason why they can find the key and tune their pitch

just to add, yes theyre trained for this, but it is still hard to hear yourself on stage because the music is loud, and not just the music but the booming of the sound system literally reaches your chest (ive been on stage, dancing tho, but it felt like that. like the speakers were controlling my heart). besides this, they record multiple times per day, not just the one you see on screen, and their dances arent the easiest. they probably also havent eaten the whole day because dancing after eating is the worst possible decision ever.
should they get more vocal training? absolutely but you have to understand that their schedule is jammed pack. they have comebacks every half yearly, concerts, fansigns, fanmeets, kcons, cfs and others, on top of training (enhypen literally lives and breathes the airport) so maybe be a little more empathetic before throwing hate to them. not to mention a lot of companies force idols out of their range (twice for example in ycsm and le sserafim's fearless, where chaewon, yunjin and sakura are more comfortable with higher notes)

Momo is still traumatized after all the hate she got off that encore stage… she sang a lot better on right the next encore, but her mood was already down, and now even on latest encores she’s often facing away or not interacting with members and camera as much.
It’s literally just an encore, where idols are supposed to be able to mess around and have fun **after** getting a win. There is no right for someone to hate on an encore performance just because they *expected* good vocals. Your disappointment is your own fault, let the idols breathe after an exhausting performance, skip some lines, talk instead of sing, mess around with their voice. Yes there are some idols who aren’t the best at singing but excel at something else. But even the best singers sometimes have a bad day and you shouldn’t judge a vocal just based on one encore stage.

Your voice can only take so much over a short period of time. Ever notice how at award shows performances are almost perfect? Because they only have to sing that one time. There are alot of factors involved like also their range. Another thing to consider is voice training. Some singers don't have any and just sing not using the correct techniques.

Some idols like Jungkook are naturally talented with ability to match pitch near perfectly most times, but there are many other idols that are not, this is a good example.

He's not naturally talented. I remember on their show(BTS ON STAGE, I think?) was that he(and Tae probably) were the only ones who got vocal lessons while Jimin had to watch them from the windows.

All vocalists get vocal lessons. It's industry standard. It's the injury that can happen by not that encourages these companies to make sure their talent is appropriately trained. It's partly why idols have a long training period.
To be able to sing well you have to have the voice and ear for it, and these things both occur naturally. You are either naturally inclined or you're just not. There's not a lot that can be done to change this.
If you absolutely needed vocal training to be able to sing well then I can guarantee you that Justin Bieber and the like would have remained an unknown teenager.

More vocal-focused groups like Mamamoo sound wonderful on encore stages especially with their stage presence, while more choreo-focused groups like Aespa _(I think they're choreo-focused since many said they lipsync)_ tend to highlight their choreo more, thus forgetting to enhance their vocals.
If your fav. doesn't sound good singing live, then they're good at something else. Some are better at rapping, some are batter at dancing, while some are total ACEs that could surprise you. These people in the video aren't that good in singing, so they must've practiced something else. That means you shouldn't make excuses for your favs and they don't deserve hate.

I said that ON is an extremely exhausting choreography & one of the hardest choreos of BTS so it must very hard for them to breathe after performing it. They weren't wearing in-ears hence, they can't hear themselves properly. It's totally wrong to say that the ones in the video don't sound good live judging on this one video. Idk much about the rest but all of the vocal line of bts sounds great singing live, they sound better than the recordings. it doesn’t look like bts (besides jungkook i’m guessing cause that boy will always give his 200%) were focusing on their vocals in that encore. at least from the short clips shown. jin also looked confused ?? besides the voice crack at the beginning , v sounded fine. in general , i’ve noticed bts don’t put a lot of effort into their encores. which is fine because you can really see how hard they try for their actual performances. they sing live almost all of the time so i don’t think they need to prove anything with a silly little encore.

when you are a natural born good singer you can sing with no effort almost anytime, anywhere, but most kpop singers arent natural singers, they just have a mediocre voice that sounds better with autotune and thats good enough. An example is Ariana Grande when she is dancing or jumping she can sound tired or out of breath but you still can hear that her real voice is beautiful. I like to hear the Encores bc even if they are just playing around or taking it seriously you can recognize who is actually a singer with natural talent and who isnt. That's why he's the only one never critized over his vocals👉it said in the vid! Man always comes through...you can never catch him slipping! Even with a sore throat he still did well.
But V was good too 😮 I was very surprised in his solo era. Turns out he can sing really cool live when the song matches his tone. I've specifically re-listened to many live BTS performances and he sounds really stable even outside of his comfortable range. He's been my bias since the beginning of his solo era. Amazing guy
