I've had an entire camera/room disappear before and just not noticed it. It's wild what you can miss sometimes - forest for the trees and all that.
Anomalies Markiplier missed/got lucky with:
4:16, two nearly invisible papers on the floor in front of the elevator disappeared
5:48, people's hair got changed
6:35, he didn't see it, but the order of the objects on the table changed
14:45, same thing, the order changed (he got it later)
16:06, new lightswitch spawned in the office (they spawn more and more gradually so he got it later)
18:25, the lightswitch on the wall disappeared
20:28, the coat rail on the wall disappeared

Some information to help people (and Mark even though he doesn't read these comments):
- "Audio anomalies" like what you hear at 16:29 are just ambience. Their only purpose is to unnerve you.
- The "emergency" warning happens when there are THREE active anomalies. This warning will only happen once per round. Game over occurs at four anomalies.
- They do not get more or less subtle as the night progresses. There are specific anomalies that can occur, and the game will randomly select one of them periodically (usually every 15 in-game minutes).
- If Mark had played more of I'm On Observation Duty 4, he'd know that "Outside" anomalies are ones that appear on other cameras but are located outside (like an intruder in a window)
Mark missed the following anomalies:
4:16 - two small papers on the floor in the center (and lower center) are now missing
5:48 - "are these the same dudes?". No, Mark. No they are not.
18:24 - the switch on the back wall is gone
20:27 - the coat rack on the left wall, above the shoes, is now missing

This would be really fun as a livestream. Everyone getting all paranoid together, amplifying that feeling for each other as the chat suggests anomalies they think they see, making everyone else -- especially Mark -- second guess themselves and the game.
Reminds me of when Mark tried to beat Welcome to the Game 2 live and everybody was freaking out about stuff like Mark not locking the door, even when he just did. And eventually it devolves into people saying to "lock the curtain", "lock the lock", "lock the chair", "lock your ass", ect.
In other words, I totally agree, because I'd love to see that again, especially if I could catch it live!

The pure unparalleled rage I felt when Mark kept missing the missing rack in the hallway was abysmal
Oh man, the ONE anomaly I noticed quickly, Mark didn't 😭 At 14:24 you can see a lil coat rack above the shoes but then Mark is looking for anomalies and at 25:41 he looks at the room and it's gone! Then he's like, "There's probably one in here." I was screaming the whole time there was!!
What gives me chills the most is that there are SEVERAL instances where I hear whispering. It's either its own anomaly or associated with others (haven't played the game before). But it gets me
"GO BACK" whispers in the Alley 1 when he even mentions he hears it and then does NOTHING about it >_<

Do you know what I just realized? In the starway room (1:19), the thing blocked with caution tape appears to be an elevator; however, the four men (1:34) are... in the elevator. There could be multiple elevators in the apartment that the game doesn't show us (or the thing that's blocked off just isn't an elevator)... but... 🤨
I was wondering about that too 🤔 IF that elevator was the only one in the building and it's shutdown (possibly for repair) then how did those men get into the elevator in the first place 🤔

The scary part about this game,is how realistic the sounds are and how horrifying the rooms evolve over time...truly a great game,I'm glad Mark played it.
The camera distortion in the Hallway was there so often (last example just before 6am) but Mark never noticed it. It's not a problem, I'm just impressed how he found much more smaller details but not this massive distortion xD
I think he gets so laser focused looking for the smaller details that are easy to miss, that it's easy not to notice certain big changes.

The regret in Mark's voice is so audible at the beginning of the game. He sounded so defeated when the new reporting system absolutely obliterated his "blindly-report-things-and-wish-for-the best" strategy. You'll get through it buddy, you always do.

I absolutely adore this game, for so many reasons. Especially watching Mark play it. The way it builds tension, the way you’re completely left to your own devices, the way it can do NOTHING and still manages to convince you that you’re missing something. It’s such a fascinating experience, the way it takes advantage of the paranoia almost completely fabricated by the player. The psychological mindfuck of not seeing anything, but not knowing if it’s because there’s nothing to see or if you’re missing something, is just so perfect. The brain assumes the worst, you panic, and then you actually miss things. I love it so much
And watching Mark, who has ADHD, play it, is an even more fascinating experience, because the way his brain works is so bizarre and yet relatable, and the way he notices things nobody else would see while missing things most people would catch instantly is just so entertaining. As a fellow neurodivergent idiot I don’t know how he does so well lmao

I can't believe it's been almost 11 years since I first watched mark's video and I remember him playing Amnesia. I remember exploring youtube and its old layout and design. I grew up watching him grow old and make amazing content. He raised millions of kids the same way as Pewds, Jack, and Vanoss did. He grew older and so did we.
Please don't stop as you are a part of millions of people's lives and childhood. Thank you for the memories and laughs I hope there are still more to come.
