I've got no problem with religion or people having religious beliefs but you can't argue with someone who's main point of argument is "The bible tells me so" it's a losing battle from the start. I've got no problem with religion or people having religious beliefs but you can't argue with someone who's main point of argument is "The bible tells me so" it's a losing battle from the start. I think the sooner we get away from the Bible being seen as a book of facts or history, the better. People who believe and preach in what the Bible says often give themselves a sense of authority to go with it because they are preaching text from the Holy Book...so it must be listened to and learnt from and taken literally as "The word of God" and they can't understand why they come onto shows like this and get laughed at by everyone in the audience.
