This song is a banger! My favourite Dio Sabbath song, however, is “The Sign of the Southern Cross”, a nearly 8 minute song that has (another) killer riff from Iommi. Cheers guys!
Some Dio Sabbath. A great song on Heaven and Hell Another I'd strongly recommend of this album is Children of the Sea, the first song that Black Sabbath wrote with Dio. If you want a totally great bass intensive Black Sabbath song check out N.I.B. (Ozzy era)
This is a great track. Iommi is definitely on superb form. For many years they would open with this after their 'Intro' music which was the short synth track E5150 from Mob Rules. Like Dad says it was immediate and in your face and a great way to start any show. Mob Rules is a great album and Falling Off the Edge of the World is brilliant but The Sign of the Southern Cross from it is superb with has one of the best ever guitar riffs
This is a classic Sabbath album. I was lucky enough to be born and bred in Birmingham (England) and be a youngster when Sabbath took off. Seen them loads of times with all the line ups but this Sabbath is the best imho. Ozzy is great but RJD is on a different level when it comes to singing. You really have to listen to"" lonely is the word" from this album. Unlike anything Sabbath have done....really Bluesy rock. Tony Iommi has stated the solo on it is his favourite ..... who am I to argue. Please check it out guys you won't be disappointed.

What a cool surprise to see this reacted to, one of the best Sabbath songs of the Dio era a great opening song off Heaven and Hell album. Saw Sabbath on the Heaven & Hell tour and remember them doing War Pigs specifically.Very good reaction.
@@fatherandsonreactions Dio did an amazing job on the Ozzy songs especially War Pigs, however he didn’t like singing them, so they cut back when had more Dio Sabbath songs.
If you want to react to a live version, check out the version from Heaven and Hell live at Wacken 2009. Heaven and Hell is the name the Dio Sabbath lineup used when they started touring again in 2007. They start out with a verse of "Country Girl" then go into "Neon Knights". What makes this version particularly impressive is that 20 days prior to that show, Dio celebrated his 67th birthday. It still blows me away how a 67 year old man, would be diagnosed with cancer 4 months later, could take the stage at the largest metal festival on the planet and perform at that level. Sadly, Dio would succumb to stomach cancer less than a year later on May 16th 2010.
Anything coming out of this album and Black Sabbath's Mob Rules album is legendary. This song you just heard should have been reacted to 2 years ago because of Dio's vocals and Tony's leads.
Its such a shame this channel doesnt have at least 100.000 views each video, the two of of you being so charismatic and fun to watch. Keep up guys, greetings from Brazil 🎉
I saw Sabbath with Dio on the bands first tour together in 1980 on "The Black and Blue Tour' the band played about half of their set with songs from the Ozzy era and the other half was new Dio era songs. By the time they toured on their second album "Mob Rules" they only played about 3-5 songs from the Ozzy era.
Good reaction guys, I saw Black Sabbath ‘82 Mob Rules tour and they opened with Neon Nights. During the performance, Dio did sing some Sabbath tunes that where recorded with Ozzy (Iron Man, Paranoid, Children of the Sea).
Fun reaction guys! To answer your question: when Dio was performing with Black Sabbath, they did perform some Ozzy-era songs live, with varying results, IMO ("Iron Man" sounds a bit odd, but Dio takes "War Pigs" to another level). However, when they re-named the Dio-lineup Heaven & Hell, they stopped performing Ozzy-era songs altogether. I suspect that part of the reason for that is that Tony and Geezer had been performing with Ozzy regularly for about 10 years at that point, and they were a little bored of playing those songs all the time, lol.
Dio did some of the classic Ozzy Sabbath songs like Ironman they are even on the live album "Live Evil" released back then, there are also other live recordings and even video footage.
Right there with Bruce? Please….. Ronnie Dio is so far ahead of anyone in rock and it’s not even close. He’s one of the great vocalist to have ever lived.
Mistreated by Rainbow with Dio live1977 is a must listen. His voice is on a whole other level. I promise it won't disappoint. Gives me goose bumps. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Sabbath's first official live album, "Live Evil", was with Dio and they did a handful of the old Ozzy era hits on it. Just going from memory here, but I think Iron Man, War Pigs, Children of the Grave, Paranoid, N.I.B., and the song Black Sabbath were all on the setlist.
Quite enjoyed that right from the start! Well here's another Birmingham supergroup I bet you probably haven't even heard of, comedian Jasper Carrott (real name Robert Davis) with Moseley Grammar Schoolfriend and ELO drummer Bev Bevan, and Tommy Iommi on guitar. When Jasper starts the introductions at 3:40, someone in the audience shouts "Funky Moped", which is a song request for Jasper's biggest (comedy) hit single from the 1970s, which is why he asks "how old are you?", so hope you enjoy the clip - ua-cam.com/video/iLVT197BcW8/v-deo.html

The album you want for him singing Ozzy era songs is Live Evil it’s from the Mob Rules tour . Dio sabbaths great , totally different to the Ozzy era but set a blue print for what Iommi would do with the band until various reunions with Ozzy and Dio
They had a different sound with this band setting. I love Dio, especially here, and with Rainbow. I also love Ozzys contributions to Sabbath. Dio was a technically unrivaled singer. I tend to view this two settings of the band as two different bands. No need to compare them. Great music is just great music. It's not a contest. You may prefer one over the other, but that 's just a matter of taste. And that might change tomorrow.
Sabbath with Dio did cover a handful of Ozzy-era songs but I don't think Ozzy ever did any Dio-era songs. I don't think Ozzy has the voice to do them, honestly. In case you didn't know, Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan also sang for Sabbath on an album or two in the '80's after Dio left them.

They NEVER did their Dio era songs with Ozzy. I mean, come on. Imagine Ozzy trying to sing "Heaven and Hell". It wouldn't work. With Ozzy, it's ALWAYS songs from his time with the group, but with Dio, they would do some songs from Dio's era and only a few songs from Ozzy's years.
