I think this video is very realistic for a busy family with young kids. Let’s face it we all have put dinners that is a hodgepodge of stuff/random leftovers once a week - we can’t make fancy well planned dinners all the time
Hi Jordan! I'm so sorry to see that commenters have been nastier lately. I think some people are bitter and having a hard time and want to take it out on you.
You continue to be an inspiration to many and an incredible mother and wife. Please know that you have made me much more capable as a soon to be parent and adult. Thank you thank you
I was just thinking the same thing; thanks for commenting this to her. 🤍
Lots of nasty comments, but if you look them up, they love leaving nasty comments on quite a few youtubers videos. Just jealous people with nothing better to do.
I dont think its because they are bitter, yall kind of insane
Don’t let negativity get you down! I think as a mom of 8 your doing great! I can only imagine how hard it could be to remember to film cooking while tending to your family! Love the music! You look great too! Thanks for all your hard work!
Missing you so much Jordan!! Rewatching videos to inspire myself all over again. I hope you, bubba, and the kids have had a great fall season. Much love from Michigan ❤❤
You’re precious Jordan 💓 Thank you for the meal ideas. Praying you’re well.
You've said in the past a budget of $100 per person per month for groceries. How has inflation affected that budget? I personally feel like my grocery shopping has tripled inexpenses and I'm not getting anything more than I was before and it has literally become so incredibly stressful
i know she made a video about this a few months ago!
I usually get the same items each week, it’s at least doubled!! Sometimes more! It’s stressful on us…your not by yourself lol We Need A Support Group!!
@@alsbarefootkitchen you can always eat cheaper food but the food needs to stay nutritious. there is only so much you can do before you eat noodles 3 times a day to save money
what you need to remember also is that Jordan has a grocery store that she shops out of in her own house. She buys minimum in videos but she has HOARDS of food stored. So to get away with that little money is easy when you have so much extra food that isn't shown
My groceries are so stressful. I was spending 150 a week for 5 people and it’s now around 240 for the same order 😭
Love real life meals, casual authentic videos. Prepared sauces when needed- real life!
I love how easy you make throwing things together!
Wow. You are kind of amazing... Thank you so much for the terrific inspiration; I love to find recipes like what you're doing. You are a QUEEN!
Hey girl! I noticed your air fryer is shoved in the back of your counter. It will provide much better results if you pull it out more so it can retrieve better air flow! I noticed a great improvement doing myself. Let me know if you see this and give it a try!!!
Can we have a day in life now the twins are older . Great meal ideas 😀
Haven't made a quick veggie lo mein side in a long time and my kids love it! thanks for the reminder!
Sheet pan and one pot supper's are my favorite. Tfs ✌️🙏💕
I love how these meal ideas are unapologetically "lazy" but deal with it!! 😂😂 It looks good tho and it's smart. Also I appreciate giving us a raw and real insights on what it's like none of the aesthetic nonsense (fun to watch but come onnn!!)
Just for future, you don’t need to peel zucchini! The peel gives it extra texture and has most nutritional value.
Thank U!! I didn’t know that!! Ty 4 sharing.
My family and I peel them if we don't get them organic since insecticides are no fun
Wow, you are simply a superwoman!
May God richly bless you and your family! 🙏❤️
I watch all of your videos multiple times a day like very inspirational and I’ve gotten so many ideas from u. Keep doing what ur doing! I even printed out the block schedule from the website very helpful
I love ypur videos. Parenting, cooking anything
I love your videos!! I have been watching you for years! You are amazing
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT ADVICE!!!❤❤❤
I loveeee this sink so muchhhh!!!!
I love the way you work. ❤️👍🏼😋
bold to put cream sauce, red sauce, and pesto into the same pasta dish. I like it
Can you please do a cabin tour
I just found your channel. First saw your bread video, then the surprise twins video, now this. Wow girl, you are rocking this mommy life!!! New subscriber here!!!
God bless your big beautiful family with lots of love and joy ❤
Thanks Jordan!
Missed u so much.........finally the new vid came out.🌹
Loved the ideas!
Looks healthy and delicious
Girl I fell off but I am back at it and I’m watching old videos! Getting ready for school in a few weeks and I’m starting off strong thanks for all the knowledge
Inquiring minds need to know - where did you find the pot you cooked the pasta in (for the pasta salad) because I totally need that in my life.
I would love to see a frugal kids clothing Haul!:)
You are amazing. Where do you get your energy??❤️👍
I’ve been waiting for this video! Thanks Jordan!
Sometimes freeze the leftovers and cooking for 2 o 3 days
Always love a good sheet pan meal!
I did Sheet Pan Fajitas a few months ago. It was a bit of a pain but there was plenty of leftovers in the end.
@@grizzfan08 oh no! Why was it a pain? I usually use one sheet pan for protein and one for veggies so it isn’t overcrowded. Plus plenty of foil for easy clean up lol
My favorite sheet pan meal is making sheet pan pizzas 🤣 I don't know if that counts though
@@_imgracie I doubled the recipe and didn't have a big enough sheet pan. It still turned out great though.
@@alsbarefootkitchen definitely counts 😂
I’ve never thought to use cut up cheese sticks in place of mozzarella 😂 good tip! Thank you.
Definitely new subscriber wow your dinner's look amazing and you are amazing Thank you
I shop for protein ,veggies and make soups a lot so this extends our meals
Oh I love your vids so much, thanks for all of your efforts/time spent making these for us!!!! I don't know how you do it all with 8 kiddos, a hubs, and still seem so chipper and wonderful. Blessings to you and your family. xoxox's
Love the video ! Just wondering if you were going to do any more “money saving” focused videos! Starting my first job and love all the tips e.g the 70% rules etc.
Great video. Have you tried batch freezer meals?
Love this video.Great recipes. For sure will be making this for my family.
When is your new kitchen going to be finished? It seems to take a really long time, but there are supply chain issues everywhere 😥
You should make a cookbook!!!!
I’m loving the one earring lol
Do you have any ideas for the same amounts but for aip or allergy friendly meal plans?
Can you do a back to school haul and how you budget for it?
I Hope you are doing well 💗 missing your videos girl it's been forever since you been sharing 💖 miss you girl ❤
The witching hour is real 😅
I love this black pasta pot, where is it from? Or what is the brand?
I’ve had one for years, I love it. it’s a Bialetti brand black strainer pot.
All these people talking about portions. I have a toddler who barely eats a few bites per meal no matter how hard I try. She does drink tons of milk though. Everyone’s situation is different and I know Jordan’s kids grab themselves healthy snacks throughout the day. So much mom-shaming in a world where that’s the last thing we need to be doing.
I saw a black pot with a strainer lid that screwed on in one of your videos. Where did you get it ?
Is there a third part?
YES WE SEE YOU OLIVE GARDEN SALAD DRESSING WORK GIRL
Where is that pasta pot from?? Genius!!
Loved watching your videos. And, I am a vegetarian. 🤣
I like your videos very much
I need to know what kind of energy drinks you use 😅 you’re on fire 🔥
Very nice 🙂👍
I make my chicken teriyaki the same way!!
Where is your black pasta pot from?
Your videos are my highlight
Yummy 😋
Sue here: I can't get past cutting up raw chicken on the same board you had things on!!! 😱 Good job on the meals though. 👍
Where did u get crockpot from??
can we get the cookbook yet
Anyone know where she got the black pot with the strainer lid?
Why aren’t you posting any videos
We want to see ur videos
Love you
I am a woman too
I just want to say I love your videos. I do have a question though. Do you get help with the kiddos? I am a stay at home mama and I just crave the energy and positivity you have. Thanks ❤
Natalie, before I sent my 4y and 2y to part-time daycare, I enlisted the help of a babysitter. First, I would have a new sitter over for a working (paid) interview 9am-1pm to show them the post-breakfast through naptime routine. After that, I felt comfortable heading out to do errands/appointments (solo or with just one kid) or I would ask the sitter to take the kids for a walk to the park so that I could get things done around the house. A few hours here or there make such a big difference in mama sanity 😘
Jamerill mentioned your name so I looked you up.
My burning questions, do all of your kids eat whatever you cook? Are any of them picky? What do you feed the kids that don't like whatever you've made?
All kids can be picky. But dinner is dinner. I was never given another option when I didn’t like something. And I was an only child. Sometimes I held my nose while chewing but I ate it! I’m thankful for it now, I like a wide variety of food including most vegetables.
If you don't mind to buy meat shortly before BBD is over, you can safe a lot of money in Germany. BBD just means that the company is giving a quality guarantee for taste, texture and regular Standards. Past BBD does not mean, that it's not useable anymore. Only when it says that this Produkt must be used until this date, than you will have to be careful. Germany has a Inflationsrate from around 8%, but the way I see it, food in US is much more expensive.
Im 3 kids my sons eat a lot my budget its 250 for 5 everything its expensive but right I'm focus used all meat I have it I don't trash any food I focus in safe money just buy it the the deals. The best foe meat and chicken costco
I really like this style of video!!! I’d love to see a whole food plant based version of it please!!
I need to know..do you have picky eaters? And how do you combat when one of them doesn’t like what you made? Any advice for what you would do in that situation?
I have two! They’re 5 & 3. Our rule is you have to at least try 1 “no thank you” bite. Then if you don’t like it, you at least tried it. Because you never know! You could find a new favorite thing! Then I don’t believe in kids going hungry if they don’t like it. They have the option of a PB&J or fruit/veggie (or whatever you think is their ‘safe’ food). But that’s it. If you don’t like those two options, you can wait until the next meal. I’m not cooking 4 or 5 separate meals. Some nights it’s more of a battle but the more you’re consistent, the more it woks. Good luck mama!!!
@@lcn706 I do this as well and my kids have started liking new things. I rarely make an extra meal unless I’m making one dish that I know they won’t eat but make them try it anyway.
💜💜💜💜💜
You've come a long way since extreme cheapskates! Proud of you
Wait you can freeze cheese? For how long?
I think you can freeze it up to 1 year. Can freeze in block or shredded form 🙂
After it's frozen I think it works best when you cook with it and not as like a topping (hope that makes sense 😅)
@@alsbarefootkitchen Thanks.
Jordan be careful with the air fryer against the wall. They catch on fire easily if you don’t follow the instructions, my neighbors home burned down.
This woman has 8 kids and multiple businesses… she shares what she can, when she can. If you don’t like it, unsubscribe 🤨
Exactly! And TWIN toddlers! 😮💨
😂 she’s a scammer
Yes!!!! Thank you
@@whippersnapper6023 get a life, like to see you do it.
@@scecyberplays197 not really relevant though 😁
Have u seen jmerrell she has big family also
I find it interesting that the mommy influencers with only a few kids are doing these vids of them preserving 20+ homemade frozen meals while the mommy vloggers with 6 or more kids are running around their hot kitchens talking about how they only have a few minutes to get dinner cooked. Weird.
Making and freezing a ton of dinners makes even more sense if you have a bigger family.
I HIGHLY recommend Acre Homestead here on UA-cam. Becky is a beast when it comes to those freezer meals and maximizing food preservation.
Is it just me or does it seem like these meals aren’t enough food for that many people? Our family of six would eat that all and my kids may still ask for a snack 😂
I'd say this depends on age (most of them are quite young) and what they ate through the day. If the kids had breakfast, snack in the morning, lunch and a snack at afternoon, this should be enough for them all for dinner.
Our 2 boys (and hubs) have huge appetites. I never pay attention to the "serving size" bc a 9x13 pan (for example) is only 1 dinner for us. Even with veggies as sides. With all due respect It really bugs me when I see low quantity recipes from Influencers especially if they say there are leftovers also (not in our house!) I just cook what is right for us and let others do as they wish.
You know if you put a towel under that cutting board it won’t slide and all over the place
Imagine if you could mute out the screaming kids in real life while cooking lol
Lol!
Great recipes. What you can also do with the baked chicken is bread them in crushed up saltines, panko bread crumbs, or even crushed croutons (I just made that up off the top of my head), and it just gives a bit more texture to the chicken.
Keep up the hard work!!!
I dont get it. How is this dinner for 2 weeks? surely with that amount of people there wouldnt be enough leftovers to stretch.
Why hasn't she posted in the last 5 months? Am I missing something or not seeing recent vids for some reason?
She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder and focusing on her health
@@erikacook3056 oh my gosh that so sad! I hope she is ok!
Thanks for letting me know!
That is a lot of chicken and pasta in 2 weeks.
As a long time follower, content is lacking lately. I know you have some health issues going on, so if you need a break, please take it. I think it would be better for both you and your channel to rest and recharge rather than continue to go downhill just for the sake of having content. Do you no longer have a team that helps you? It seems like there is no longer a video schedule, it's off the cuff, and very chaotic.
I noticed that too. Been watching old videos , these new ones are just not the same.
I literally said the same thing and got my head bit off.
This is SO rude. I hope you don't have to deal with someone like you in your life
I think people are just concerned. Does Jordan not look unhappy and maybe even worn out to you?
@@NadiaSeesIt People who check in on me and make sure I know that my health and family come first above anything else? I hope everyone has those kind of people.
Girl! Use scissors to cut chicken into chunks!!
A lot of people are saying this is not enough food. But my family is half her size and half of this food is plenty for us.
Also, people have different metabolisms and need different amounts of food. We don't know what her family was eating the rest of the day either.
❤ love this
All the kids look like Bubba…😳😳😳
The pasta did look weird!! Lol. But maybe good
The food do not look like enough food to feed 8 kids and 2 adults!
Thereis no way 10 people can eat just that.
I noticed u dont wash chicken. Is that ok to not wash ?
It is inadvisable to wash chicken. It doesn't need to be washed and doing so could result in dangerous raw chicken juice splattering around your chicken.
You should not wash the meat.
While I did subscribe, I am almost certain u are not suppose to mix raw chicken with cooked anything...but hey if nobody dies who cares....
🤢🤮
