I’m new to weaving and really enjoying your videos! Such great explanations! The bumberet pattern seems like something that is in my skill set, I wish you had shown a close up of your weaving so we could all get a better idea of what it looks like (I bet it’s beautiful!).
@@possum4774 Thanks for the comment! Dressing a loom doesn't have to be a dreadful process. I like to say that while there are a number of steps, none of them are difficult! You can check out a loose overview of my process in episodes 6-9. But I also have a Dress Your Loom Course starting in January. You can choose your level of interest!
So, you never raise shafts 1 & 2 together in your example. What would it be like to switch from 3 & 4 to 1 & 2 every so often….like maybe every inch or so? I have broken my arm at the shoulder (having shoulder replacement surgery in 2 days) so I cannot try this myself for the foreseeable future. But I’m enjoying watching your videos in the meantime!
Great explanation. I'm going to have to give this a try.
Great explanation! I'll have to try this!
I absolutely LOVE the little white boxes to the left that you added. Fantastic clear explanation! You are truly such an excellent teacher!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds interesting. Ill have to look into it.

Thank you so much, Randy!!
Thanks for a new fairly simple pattern to play with. 😊
It's my pleasure!
What a great explanation of this technique! Thank you for demystifying this.
My pleasure, Ernie! I'm glad it was helpful!
I’m trying this very soon. Reminds me of a knitting pattern from long ago.
Ooh, very cool!!
Neat!
Great explanation, thanks! Do you have any tips for creating the warp without too many headaches?

Hi Phyllis! That is correct! In the version I'm trying, it never calls for 1&2 together! I hope your shoulder feels better soon!!
Would it shrink alot when washed?
Great question! Because of the floats, I'm anticipating it'll shrink more than plain weave, definitely! Thanks for asking!
