its based on a real life rocket concept, where the first and second stages of a saturn V are used, but 4 of them in a rocket, to have about 4x larger payload, though was never built
May I suggest using Laythe as a base for these videos rather than kerbin. As in a real-life scenario, Laythe is smaller, has already been colonised, and has closer proximity to Sarnas than Kerbin, even if the transfer windows get complicated
The wait time for an additional sarnus-jool transfer window would likely mean the missions would be longer than if launched from kerbin, but I'm not sure. also, I am planning to do something similar like this, but not on laythe. im going to do something like that, but on one of the kcalbeloh planets (probably suluco) but in order to do that, i need to learn how to use/set up the mod needed to be able to launch rockets from other planets
