Too bad that Figrin D'an and Max Rebo never got along, both are genius musicians and it's really too bad they never collaborated between the two bands. The result would have been truly out of this _galaxy_ .
Another great set of tunes, thanks! Fun fact: If playing Lego Star Wars and you turn off the in game music, then meet these guys, they are all sitting around confused!
That's because John Williams wrote songs for Jim Henson under a pen name. He was under contract for another studio and would have violated the terms, so he wrote music for others under another name or just uncredited. Unfortunately I don't remember the name he used.
I love this! All of John Wiliams' music is great, especially the Star Wars music. The songs he wrote for Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes are my all time favorite. I love that this video has all of the songs. Even the one that I've only heard before in the video game Dark Forces II Jedi Knight.
Fun Fact: It's a soprano clarinet and not a bass clarinet. As a soprano/bass clarinetist I can confirm that a bass clarinet does not squeak like that at all--it squaks like a dying bird.
@@carterholcomb1072 I now realize that after relistening to this tune after having much more experience with bass clarinet and have now actually been playing bass clarinet for a number of months. Thank you for reminding me of this comment, and bringing this to my attention.

Oh how I would smile if I were ever to walk into a lounge and find this band's songs playing in the background. "This little one's not worth the effort. Come, let me get you something."
There’s just a uniqueness to anything that John Williams makes that is just so fun, like you could play any of his songs and I could know that it is his

So true
c0l1n_M4 Yes.
c0l1n_M4 Figrin D’an’s brother is the kloo player in the Max Rebo band. It’s true you can look it up. It’s a fun fact
Together they could have ruled the galaxy, as drummer and horn player!
they were like biggie and pac
Figrin d'An is a genius.
Least we still got Bowie....
Yes
Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes deserve their own series tbh
Honestly would love for them to collab with Max Rebo. THAT would be legendary.
documentary style that takes place in the late new republic era
@@whereiswilloww Yes
It would be amazing as a series imagine wcookie death metal
I saw them live in a Quarren dive bar on Nal Hutta back in 6BBY.
...LUCKY...
If their tunes are not played at my funeral I'm not showing up!
Another great set of tunes, thanks!

Met my girlfriend Wynuuthakaaa m'Deeanalia at a Modal Nodes concert on Dantooine.
Bored and depressed..laying in bed listening to this, obscure Seattle punk songs and industrial tunes is getting me by

this music is so smoooooooth, great music, love it!
John Williams needs to make a whole album of their music.
It would have been awesome if they kept making music as a real life band wearing the costumes still.
Pretty sure a big part of the Star Wars fanbase would have bought tickets to the concerts
They didn't even hire musicians to play their characters
Yep. They were played by members of the makeup and costume crew.
The Modaling Nodes are special. Figrin D’an is a savant
Couldn’t agree more. Modal on!!
Dune Sea Special is a classic, any songs that played in Battlefront 2 (og) in Mos Eisley are all good songs

I caught these guys the last time I was out on the outer rim. Killin!
The only thing that Disney has done right is bring us another Figrin D'an track.
Friggin Dan and The Modal Nodes is a cool name for a Jazz Funk Fusion band. Nice 👍
*Jizz, they play Jizz music
There are actually squeaks in the bass clarinet part of Mad About Me at 1:10 and 2:40
I think you mean squeaks in the kloo horn.
I love how your username says drop dead serious but your pfp shows squidward playing with a leaf blower

2:46 Sounds like the start of the Muppet Show theme.

Was it confirmed that Modal Notes was by The Modal Nodes?

Great compilation!
The famous cantina band that everybody loves.❤
One of the greatest bands in star wars and cinema period.

Fantastic ! Except the strange "copy paste" typical from Disney's "creations" at 2;47. Horror.

It took me until now to realize that their music has sort of a 1920's sound to it, and that makes me love it even more.
