Anyway guys RAID: Shadow Legends™ is constantly expanding and adding new features, so it’s really never a bad time to give it a try. And when you do make sure you go to the fortnite item shop and use code rifty to get a free epic champion and 50,000 silver as part of their new player program.

Honestly I think the voice actress does a great Job in making Sothis sound different unlike Kyubei which sounds exactly like Morgana. And that is pretty funny considering how different the personalities of those two are.
The “too many swordsmen” argument is actually really dumb though. How many characters in the game fight with their bare fists? Besides, for the most part, every sword fighter in the game has a totally unique move set; Link doesn’t play like Cloud, Hero doesn’t play like Shulk, etc. I have not and never will understand the “too many sword fighters” argument. It’s one thing to be hung up on FE oversaturation, which is itself kinda dumb, but whining just because a character has a sword is ridiculous.
@@GoldLight73 I can understand the problem with having too many swords, but I think Byleth kinda avoids the issue by not playing like a traditional swordie. Cause while swordfighters *tend* to be more derivative than fist fighters or zoners, Byleth is more like, uhhh...a Link, mixed with a Joker, mixed with a Belmont? Point is, it's way harder to point at Byleth and say "hey that move is just like that other sword fighter's move."

I'm just realizing Terry is lonely compared to the other DLC. Joker has Morgana, the Heroes have Slime, Banjo has Kazooie, and Byleth has Sothis. Terry is the only one that's alone.

They could at least put some good characters from good Fire Emblem games in if they're going to litter the roster with Fire Emblem characters. Or some Fire Emblem characters that are not sword users. None of the avatar characters from the Fire Emblem games are remotely interesting.

I was actually expecting Byleth to be a Marth clone or something, but I couldn’t believe Byleth actually had a great moveset, Byleth’s recovery is even top-notch!.
Unpopular opinion, (no one jump me please) but I honestly thought Three Houses was overrated as hell. I jumped straight back to Final Fantasy 12 and DMC5 after dedicating 40 hours to that game. Although, Blue Lions ftw.
Honest I don't care they hate or love I laugh how many people thinks byelth is such overrated and wanted character like waluigi which he has no game to represent him, or Dante but can't realized that they need permission to use him from the owner(which I hope he's in smash).

I'd actually say that even though Three Houses is fastest selling Fire Emblem to date, it still isn't a hugely popular series as a whole, yet Smash is saturated with these relatively unknown (in the west) sword and sorcery characters. I doubt very many people who downvoted the video actually hate Fire Emblem, but just aren't interested in playing it, or know who the characters even are. Why would you be excited for a character who looks like other characters you've already seen, from a game you know nothing about, and don't want to know anything about?
ninjamatic5000 Your logic makes no sense because nobody knew who Hero was because their game wasn’t out at the time they were added to Smash, and besides Pokémon, Fire Emblem has more characters than any other Nintendo game, it just gives them more they can work with, without getting the rights to off-brand characters

Three Houses deserves a rep lmao. It's the most financially successful Fire Emblem Game, very well received both critically and among the fan bases (it united the Fire Emblem fanbase of all things together in positivity, something thought to be impossible after Fates), and won the Players Voice Award at the game awards.

I'm very happy that this guy is in smash because that makes more Shin Megami Tensei representation along with Joker. Now I'm crossing my fingers for the hero of SMT Strange Journey or maybe even Jack Frost.
Theres two major reasons why a character is decided for smash... One to advertise a game in the switch library Or to advertise a very high profile character.
Here is my counter argument why Dante from DMC is a better 1. It’s Dante, he would be a fun overpowered character and a capcom representative 2. DMC 3 is coming to the Switch and DMC 5 was recent and is really good 3. It’s Dante from DMC
Then why is it that every new fire emblem character we get now is an avatar or main character and not some character that is in one of the fire emblem games that maybe not everyone knows about. Not to mention the FE characters almost all have the same pose for the counter, and most fire emblem characters all have a counter (except robin, whose moveset actually makes him unique at least). And why is it that with the exception of roy, all of the hair colors match, with robin and corrin (both from the same smash game) being the only ones of their kind.
@Koria Borein Well Lucina has green hair when you change the, I guess you could say, character color. Not to mention Byleth's color change from what I've seen comes from some strange fusion with Sothis after a time skip. The green hair color is not natural in any way. And if it was, that should have been the hair color in the trailer. Sakurai, (I think that's how you spell it) I'm pretty sure has also proclaimed his love for FE, it really isn't much of a secret, so it is just shown as a power flex whenever he announces FE characters. And as far as the counter goes, the original argument here is that the character should he fun to play as, and not recognizable (I feel Byleth is very recognizable) How is any character fun to play as if all the moves are the same as the other characters in the series, because from the reveal trailer I swear I also saw Marth's (or should I say everyone's, because I think you would get the same message) side B. Link is a special exception to this rule, but both of his variants not only took very little time to make, but they were also not revealed for something people have been waiting a long time for. Not to mention these slight variants have been known since melee, and the reason for their existence is known; to provide a quick and easy to make character. Byleth might have been ok if put in the original game or early dlc, but as the final dlc to something people have been somewhat patient about, it just feels cheap, and without much thought put into it.
I was surprised when first played it, a lord with spear! (not cavalry, in some FE was an evolution), then, a lord with a bow!! (besides lynn), then, a lord with an axe!!!!!! (the last one I know of, was Hector, one of my favs). I was kinda (ages ago) bored of lords stick with a rapier/sword or spear
And a lance too it may not be Ephraim but this is a step in the right direction I am so very happy that a character finally represents what FE is truly about (Variety). If more FE characters were like this I would not complain nearly as much.

If your best argument is comparing this... thing that nobody gives a damn about (it's supposedly the most popular FE game in a long time and even fucking 1-2-switch sold more copies) with the biggest entertainment franchise in the world, then you really have no point. As if that weren't enough to prove the overrepresentation of fire emblem, Pokemon at least offers eight different play styles with its ten characters (and I'm not saying nine only because Lucario and Greninja play somewhat similarly), while fire emblem offers two (the third one people pretend there is being "the first one but with dragon claws or an axe/spear") among its eight characters. Fire Emblem should have four characters, at most.

I’m pretty happy to be honest has an okay move set and the edge of dawn is a great song. Byleth was also a pretty cool character in fire emblem three houses. Just because it’s from the game with the most fighters doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Besides, for the most part, every sword fighter in the game has a totally unique move set; Link doesn’t play like Cloud, Hero doesn’t play like Shulk, etc. I have not and never will understand the “too many sword fighters” argument. It’s one thing to be hung up on FE oversaturation, which is itself kinda dumb, but whining just because a character has a sword is ridiculous.

It's the most financially successful Fire Emblem Game, very well received both critically and among the fan bases (it united the Fire Emblem fanbase of all things together in positivity, something thought to be impossible after Fates), and won the Players Voice Award at the game awards.

Then why is it that every new fire emblem character we get now is an avatar or main character and not some character that is in one of the fire emblem games that maybe not everyone knows about. Not to mention the FE characters almost all have the same pose for the counter, and most fire emblem characters all have a counter (except robin, whose moveset actually makes him unique at least). And why is it that with the exception of roy, all of the hair colors match, with robin and corrin (both from the same smash game) being the only ones of their kind.

Not to mention Byleth's color change from what I've seen comes from some strange fusion with Sothis after a time skip. The green hair color is not natural in any way. And if it was, that should have been the hair color in the trailer. Sakurai, (I think that's how you spell it) I'm pretty sure has also proclaimed his love for FE, it really isn't much of a secret, so it is just shown as a power flex whenever he announces FE characters. And as far as the counter goes, the original argument here is that the character should he fun to play as, and not recognizable (I feel Byleth is very recognizable) How is any character fun to play as if all the moves are the same as the other characters in the series, because from the reveal trailer I swear I also saw Marth's (or should I say everyone's, because I think you would get the same message) side B. Link is a special exception to this rule, but both of his variants not only took very little time to make, but they were also not revealed for something people have been waiting a long time for. Not to mention these slight variants have been known since melee, and the reason for their existence is known; to provide a quick and easy to make character. Byleth might have been ok if put in the original game or early dlc, but as the final dlc to something people have been somewhat patient about, it just feels cheap, and without much thought put into it.

If your best argument is comparing this... thing that nobody gives a damn about (it's supposedly the most popular FE game in a long time and even fucking 1-2-switch sold more copies) with the biggest entertainment franchise in the world, then you really have no point.
As if that weren't enough to prove the overrepresentation of fire emblem, Pokemon at least offers eight different play styles with its ten characters (and I'm not saying nine only because Lucario and Greninja play somewhat similarly), while fire emblem offers two (the third one people pretend there is being "the first one but with dragon claws or an axe/spear") among its eight characters.
Fire Emblem should have four characters, at most.

You know what? I'm happy about Byleth being added. I'm not gonna sit here and hate on Sakurai for adding another Fire Emblem character. I'm looking forward to all the new music in the Garreg Mach stage. I know my opinion may not be particularly popular, but I'm excited for Professor!

I’m pretty happy to be honest has an okay move set and the edge of dawn is a great song. Byleth was also a pretty cool character in fire emblem three houses. Just because it’s from the game with the most fighters doesn’t mean it’s bad.
Eh..byleth was an awful character objectively... The player character behaves like a strange robot with zero thoughts or emotions for the most part aside from opening it's mouth if something surprised it... Lol

Had he been at the start of the dlc reveals it would have been fine.
But with this at the end, the first pass ended with a splat.

But it remains that fe is an option guaranteed to get some groans, and they chose to end the first bunch on it after dragging out the reveal like it was going to be something that can't see the light of day otherwise everything is ruined.

@@1slayer959 groans from western fans, yes but Byleth was not only the number 1 most requested character in Japan but it's also the 30 year anniversary for the franchise so this was a very good decision on Sakurai's part
@@GBlockbreaker yes I know about that, but there were plenty of ways to minimize the complaints. Like tease who the next character is, to get everyone off the fe characters back.
Instead the only buffer they had was a cup skin and talking about 6 new characters to come. With an extra slot so people can joke about that being fe also.
