F-Zero - Port Town (Sin City Remix)

=== About this Song ===
F-Zero was one of the very first games I received with my Super Nintendo on Christmas in 1991, and it has always been one of those games I have a lot of nostalgic fondness for. I remember loving the bright colors, the futuristic look and feel of the game, and the insane sense of SPEED I felt while playing through the races.
The F-Zero soundtrack remains one of the coolest and most iconic racing soundtracks to come out from that era - but despite that, I had never covered any of the songs previously. I always found the music from the soundtrack to be almost too propulsive and intricate for me to properly "do it justice." While I still somewhat believe that's the case, this time I didn't let that stop me when I was considering songs for "Sin City."
I decided to select the fantastic, frenetic theme to "Port Town" for this remix, and slowed it down considerably. I felt like I knew the Port Town theme by heart from all my years of playing F-Zero, but while creating this remix I realized that there were so many cool parts of the song that I barely realized were there.
For this remix, I ended up borrowing ideas from synthwave and synth pop, and incorporating the outstanding melody and structure of the original theme into a much more laid-back, chill sound. While the remix loses the frenetic pacing and urgency of the original track, I love how the slower vibe in this version allows the song to breathe, and for more of the subtle parts and moments of the original to be more clearly heard and appreciated.
For the visual aspect of the song, I incorporated footage of various lighting displays around Vegas, as well as video I took during several Uber and car rides around the city. The lights and sights driving down the Vegas strip reminded me of the colorful backgrounds passing by as you race around in F-Zero, and I thought they provided a fitting complement to the music.

Lovin' the sound here. I like how you slowed it down to be more chill, but yet it's still energetic (how could it not be?). Could almost be part of a Miami Vice soundtrack as well. I did enjoy looking at your videos cruising around LV.
