Hi Wayne… ANOTHER SOLID VIDEO mate I’ve got a alley craft 410 with rear cast deck and to be honest it’s a bloody pain in the ass!!!! I think if u want the complete seamless look then yeah but with a canopy it’s VERY hard to fish out of… I’m actually in process of lowering my floor 6-8” (previous owner welded in frame for false floor) and then redoing front cast deck and ripping the rear out… and then to upgrade the watersnake to one with spot lock….. And tossing up in taking boat to the local shop in browns plains and get gunwale, rear step to make getting in and out of boat easier when in the water and few grab handles welded on….. if I can get enough courage I’d like to weld the gunwales on myself with a mig and just watch the heat ect…..
Very comprehensive. We have the same model boat, wondering about a Bimini . Two of us fish. And we take bikes for fitness around caravan park stop overs. So no decking to the fore. But the sun shelter to the rear makes sense. Tx
Nice setup Wayne ,enjoyed watching this video. Enjoy your new setup on the waters now that the restrictions are easing up. Look forward to your new videos on how you use this setup, I’m interested to purchase a boat in the future so I’m learning all the pros and cons from your videos Cheers Brian
great setup mate and nice video work, I didn't notice a lifejacket decal on the deck, the coppers are pretty hard on that I barely talked my way out of a fine six months ago cheers
Great rig mate, awesome little boat to get around in the inshore reefs. The best thing about a tinny is that you can tow it pretty much anywhere you like with relative ease. It's a great setup and has everything you need at hand. I reckon the rear casting deck isn't worth worrying about unless being uncovered is annoying.
Great set up mate.I want to make a deck behind my rear thwart on my quinny 420 estuary angler that covers the battery and fuel tank.I would then use the Deck/shelf to keep my tacklebox, esky and a few bits and bobs off the main deck. Love the channel.
Nice set up 👍. Every boats different and what suits u may not suit others . Know the feelin havin a bit of time on the hands i did my wheel bearings and springs on my boat trailer last weekend
Hey Wayne, love the channel, but stop giving all my top spots away, hahah 😂. Mate I’m put my leccy on, have the bracket same as yours. Who did you get to weld it on ? Also, I’ve had a rear cast deck on my Quintrex 385 explorer for the last 14+ years and I do use it. Real handy if you need to get to the back of the motor/ prop on the water. Cheers.
You've really thought about every detail. Perfectly set up for estuary and inshore bay. In my opinion the back cast deck would be purely cosmetic to give the boat that seamless look. Not practical for casting though with the bimini there.
That’s a massive budget. What you get depends on.... ask yourself - will I be fishing alone most of the time? Where will I be fishing most of the time? Eg: fresh water, rivers/estuary, bay, etc. May need to consider keeping a good part of your budget for electronics. It’s impossible for someone to guide you to a boat without knowing the above.
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing nah i will be fishing mostly with my dad and mates in the rivers and estuaries and my dad doesnt have a 4x4 thanks for your help anyways
Sweet set up !! Great job with the deck 👍🏼

Hey mate. What light bar? And brand I wanna mount one like that but can’t find one with a middle mount
Sorry Levi I haven’t a clue, if you’re referring to the lights at the front. Came with the boat and they are old.
@@Wayne.Groomes.Fishing yeah that light bar at the front.
Solid vid
Thanks Bull

how come your not on facebook anymore mate? quit or cop a ban?
I am, Land and Bay Fishing SEQ.
Personally I would of hidden all the wiring but that’s just me
Yep. That would have looked better for sure
No back deck needed
That’s what I’m thinking
Oh? No life jacket sticker. Never mind me I'm just being a jerk. Coming along nicely.
It’s on the list.
Nice boat mate great set up!
Thanks
