I have just come back from Istanbul and eating olives for breakfast is what I miss the most. The food is outstanding otherwise and here in Sweden we cannot have the faintest idea of how delicious and diverse it is.
60 tl is very affordable price for breakfast when you consider it is for 2 people. It is very well known street all the locals go for breakfast in Beşiktaş. Good recommendation. 👍🏼
Hello, I'm going to Turkey on December and your videos really help me to make a good program for the different places I will have to go, thanks a lot ! I have a question : What places/quarter do you recommend to stay in Turkey for a week with my family please?
Thank you very much for introducing Turkish breakfast, I am glad that you liked it. 💕 As a Turkish, I eat chese, olives, cucumber and bread with roseor strawberry jam everyday. Sometimes I skip egg when I am lazy but I make just an omlette 🍳 menemen and Nutella or honey is not for everyday but I try to make them when I prepare breakfast for my family in weekends. In this video, it is a medium size of Turkish breakfast, it can be considered even small size. Some restaurants give much more but we don’t eat it so many things everyday like you said.
I discovered Simit Sarayi places, I am not sure if this is a new franchisee or have been there before. I definitely enjoyed their simits and bought tons of them to bring with me back to America. They stayed fresh for a couple of days and then I refrigerated them. Kids definitely enjoyed them as an easy and quick breakfast. Will definitely bring more next time.
That full breakfast looks great. I'm so sad that my trip to Istanbul in two weeks will be cancelled due to travel from USA. 😫🥺 I miss Istanbul so much.
Love the Turkish breakfast and also you forgot the fish sandwich at the Galata bridge which i love when I’m jogging early in the morning when I’m in Istanbul
I love the “balık ekmek” but it isn’t consumed for breakfast at all in Turkey or by locals, that’s why it isn’t included on this video, we did include it but in another one about the street foods in Turkey 😀.
Oh my god what a gorgeous breakfast so many, my stomach will gonna explode,I,i can’t wait to go. I loved TURKEY 🇹🇷.THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN,SO MUCH FUN.,Bless you always my sweet friend 💙🦋💙🙏🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh man, that first bite tho... crunchy fresh bread.. yummm. I can eat breakfast all day long. Those streets and restaurant areas look a bit busier. Good thing people are wearing face coverings. You guys be safe out there.
Hola Betty, as usual, I enjoyed very much your videos and this one was not the exception. Next time we visit Istanbul we would like to go to Besiktasi to have breakfast because in Sultanahmed it was good but we paid 129 TL......
Amazing! Thanks very much for the tip! And the suggestion of combining with Dolmabahce Palace is just perfect! I believe we will go down that way 😁😝 we’ll be in Istanbul within 30 days! 🥳🙌🏻
Hi Bery! I am visiting Istanbul this coming Monday and was wondering if our schedule is doable: 8:00 Havaist to Besiktas 9:00 Arrive in Besiktas 9:15 - 10:15 Breakfast at Cakmak Kahvalti Salonu 10:35 Take ferry to Eminonu Do you think we would have enough time for breakfast and to walk to the Besiktas Ferry Terminal? Or is our timing too tight?
Things I was left wondering was why did you pick that street? How do you say no to all the people beckoning you to go inside their restaurant? I liked the explanations of all the different plates of food, the eggs looked amazing!
Hi! I’m new to your videos, I was wondering how you would order this? Does it have a specific name? A video with you interacting with them or ordering the food would be soo helpful!
Hello, They already have menus, we did not order them one by one. At minute 1:27, we ordered "Çakmak Menu-2" which include all the foods in the video. Of course you can add some extra apart from the menu.
@@BeryIstanbulTips oh I see, thanks for replying! I guess it’s always a bit nerve wracking traveling to a new country for the first time, especially having a different language . But your videos have definitely been helpful, and knowing that you’re from Mexico is comforting in a way, you give me confidence that I can also be there! Thank you!
@@BeryIstanbulTips You're welcome. Due to big influence of Ottoman Empire you can find meny similar dishes, words, cultural legacies and other things. Over 7000 of our words have Turkish root. Many streets, monuments, fortresses as well. I can be your guide if you like.
Hello! I’ve never seen in any place serving milk tea but maybe you could ask if they could serve it for you, just say: sütlü çay alabilir miyim? Hopefully you can find it!
Yes it is… Go to any other place with Turkish breakfast, even in local areas, and per person is not less than 250 TL, so yeah, 490 TL for 3 people in total, is a good deal, sorry to disappoint you but as someone living here and who often goes out (local areas) I can assure you is affordable for today’s standards.

Wow😮 I never seen that expensive breakfast as I am a Turkish. I think you got some extra coffees and sweets which is not included the breakfast.
Brilliant video, very informative as always!
I love your videos because you always include the prices which is valuable info. Do the stores accept credit cards or only cash?
Thank you so much. They accept credit cards.
Love it. I will be in Istanbul next month (second time) Can't wait to have Menemen eggs again. Specially during a hang over morning...lol

This is a famous street for breakfast among locals. That’s why we chose here. We just smiled and said no to all .😊
Nice video! Do you know some good location, to have a Turkish breakfast, in Fatih?

Do you guys allow indoor dining? In New York City, we can only do outside eating.
Yes, it is allowed.
Make more on breakfast, Van kahvaltısı is very famous one....
What's the name of the store where you bought the pogaca?
It is called Asya Fırın (in Beşiktaş)
Can we buy 1 turkish breakfast for 2 persons?
In Serbia pogaca is a round thin bread
Wow! I must go to Serbia! Hopefully soon, and I have it in my list 💕

I have never had Turkish breakfast before
And today when we ate hier as 3 Person it costs 490 Lira. Very expensive if you see that for 2 years it was 65 Lira 😅
Yeah, ofc! And let me tell you that 490 for 3 is super cheap for Istanbul standards nowadays.
