This is something I have always wondered about and you just explained it and showed it to be true. Thank you so much for taking the time to create a great video.
This the first time I've learned something about aim in call of duty in years! Every video on aim is basically the same, and been out.🎯 This new and and approaches it differently🤞 love the drill!💯
For everyone doing this, just remember your aim is a lot less responsive the higher your deadzone is. You can get away w it in bot lobbies or against npc players, when you start playing against people that shoot back, slide, drop shot, break your camera, and you start losing gunfights, now you know why.
@ won’t even lie I haven’t done audio yet cause I’m still figuring some settings out there myself but the audio in wz did get a bit better since the update a couple days ago
I agree with the premise and what you're trying to bring awareness to. I would only add that if the right stick dead zone number is too high you're going to lose a lot of gunfights from outside of your FOV due to the delay in response time, so try to find the sweet spot between sticky aim assist and quick response time. You mentioned it in the video (for the most part) but I just wanted to be very specific about it. 6-12 is a good sweet spot for most casuals with halfway decent controllers.
I agree bro 12 is the sweet spot u can push it to 15 but u do loss a lil bit of response for that lil bit of more steady aim Which makes it harder to do fine adjustments I agree with u bro The higher the deadzone is it makes the weapon more steady but if h go to ho it gets sluggish
That is a general sweet spot cause anything tooo highly you’ll be incredibly delayed and the extra aim assist wouldn’t be worth it…thanks for the addition 🫡
@@AtxmYT I agree u can go up to like 20 but if u do u need to put ur ads speed up to match the deadzone Like if I want to play at a 5 ads speed instead of a 1 all I have to do is put the deadzone at 20 25 and u can controle it like it’s 1 man
Holy shit, can't wait to get from work and try this. I took some dumbasses advice and turned the deadzone to 0 and been struggling with tracking. Thank you very much for this, young Atxm.
Quality content here mate. You've earned urself a new sub in me. So ideally when testing the deadzones in the settings, u wanna move the stick around and see if it goes back to 0% right?? If it does, then thats the right dead zone value for the specific controller?
I’ve been wondering Why my Shots seem off or my AA felt like it kept turning off, no matter how accurate I could be, my aim just felt off, what you showed in this video is exactly how it feels, bc I do have my right stick set to 0
I see the diffrence you took alil longer to kill the bot with 0 deadzone because is like crazy then with the deadzone up it kinda sticks to the bot n killed him faster thanks for the vid

Not true you most likely just aren’t used to playing a low deadzone considering 0 dz on COD isn’t that low compared to game a like Apex which is way more responsive in general, so I’ll inform you a little more. It’s all preference there’s no benefit or additional AA. Muscle memory and motor skill is the only factor that truly matters. There are other factors such as controller type ,stick tension which is probably the second most important, and weather you use a KF/high sticks or not. For example P5 rollers have least amount of drift, higher tension, and higher clock speeds meaning the stick feels more responsive in a good way vs P4 where everything is the same except it having less tension, and less clock speed. Xbox has more drift, lower clock speed, and way less tension. All of this plays a factor in how your deadzone and overall sens feels. But none of that still matters when muscle memory comes into play. You see a lot of people switching to P5 rollers and that is for a reason. If you’re Xbox the GamesirG7SE is technically the best rn but it’s still all muscle memory, even switching your controller will have a negative feeling. Settings all preference get in the lab. Good vid though but a lil misinformative.
Damn I fell for it 🎣😭 Playing with a high deadzone feels horrible plus having a low one with a tiny amount of stick drift is actually beneficial for aim assist anyway
See that's my issue!! I love my deadzones low, feels slow and clunky high. Left min 0 and right min 4 cuz I have a little drift, other wise id probably play 0 0. Left max for B06 I brought down to 15 cuz the Omnimovement and right max 99. Feel like I can't track or my aim assist turns off. I've been tweaking my settings forever trying to find the sweet spot, any advice would help, sorry for the long message.

If it’s too fast then I’d say to turn down your ads sens…I’d say to try .80 or .75 but yeaaa if it’s mad fast it’s gon seem like aim assist ain’t working but trust me it is
That’s why ADS sensitivity multiplier is a thing just play on .85 multiplier any deadzone higher than 5 wouldn’t work against people who break your aim assist by strafing, bhopping or drop shooting
I use an envision pro too playing dynamic on the app with 3 on my right stick and I track perfectly fine w a 6 deadzone in game and yea can’t do anything about the 3 stacking players…that’s just wz brodie
I can see how this would work against bots / AI in a private match, but how about when you're running up against super demons that are strafing side to side and moving like crack heads? I feel like it would be harder to track them with a less responsive thumbstick?
when ur facing someone who uses movement a ton, you shouldn’t aim in the whole time in the first place. Try to hip fire more and keep moving so you’re not just standing in the same place trying to kill them
Good question…I didn’t make a video about it yet but it’ll be the next one…essentially if they are at close ranger you’ll want to start transitioning from hip fire to ads…almost like you’re L2 spamming…it’ll lock the aim assist back on when they are moving
Wouldn’t a dead zone outside of the white stick part make your recoil control a ton less responsive and harder to control? AA is not as sticky as everyone says and thinks it is
My issue is the aim assist box is about 5x the size of the character model. Once I get within 2 character widths near a target, my stick feels like a sponge.

😂 you didn’t mention the most important aim assist! Left Stick Max! Rotational Aim Asssist (setting left stick max at 69) meaning whenever you move you activate rotational aim assist) I thought that’s what you were getting to. That’s pretty common now.
Being someone who plays one mouse and key, MAAAAN I'm so close to swapping g to controller. 😅 Getting killed by people who are blatantly not even aiming is frustrating...
I feel you on this honestly…and mouse and keyboard takes soo much time to get used to as well…I wish they would level the playing field with the aim assist
@@turbosaby6707 I played mouse and keyboard and I can say the same in reverse , quick scoping , snapping aim and beaming people was 200% easier with mouse and key because I literally had my whole arm and hand to aim (makes it easier to make faster quicker more precise micro adjustments for recoil control and tracking ) night and day compared to when I play controller. When I put them side by side , mouse and key has a stupid advantage when it comes to accuracy, controller is more guessing where the center dot will wind up meanwhile with mouse and key it’s a little easier to know exactly where your center dot will wind up because your arm has more sensation than your thumb
But that don’t mean they are right and it don’t mean they are right why dose cod set the deadzone at 10 if it’s supposed to be zero The fact is half of the folk have no clue what they talking about Deadzone is not how much u have to move ur stick it’s how sensitive ur stick is u can put it at 20 and it is still the same as zero it just not as sensitive No one really understands it
@ people do understand it what r u talking about. U set the lowest possible for deadzone mins while not having any stick drift. U do maximum (99) for right stick max to give u full motion in any direction. Then u do around 70 on left stick max to make ur controller more responsive for movements like quick slides
@ cod sets it at 10 because most players don’t have new or expensive controllers. It’s a good middle ground for casual players that won’t change their deadzones ever
@@-smokemenace bro u are just rambling. I never said pros tell u to put it on 0. I told u the exact settings most people use and why it’s used. This has nothing to do with pro players. It’s just common knowledge on how deadzones work
@@-smokemenaceAs an example, the *Battlefield* franchise has some of the worst default settings I've ever experienced, with Battlefield V actually having a default Field Of View of 55, no killfeed, Vibration [on], Motion Blur, Camera Shake, etc - just as an example that the majority of games have default settings which are not user friendly and will hold most players back massively. I got back into CoD like 4 month back after not bothering since Black Ops 2 launched and the first thing I did was start seeking out what comp level players were using as a concept of what settings changes were subjective and what were highly changed. As said, putting the left stick max to around 70% means you're activating the Aim Assist quicker during a gunfight as long whilst using movement. I was actually on this map yesterday with a friend showing him how the Aim Assist was more active as you moved tour left stick than your right and why to drop the max down so it would trigger easier.
I understand that aim(bot) assist is needed for console players. But seriously. How fun is it to play with? No skill at all. And worst is PC players using controllers to have the assist. Yes they feel like they have too since they get to play against console players. I think it would be best if you could choose to play only against players on PC if you have PC. And to have controllers disabled on PC.

L 75 to dead. 6 or 7 to activate.

Or rotate ur left stick while u aim
so higher minimum right stick dz = stronger aim assist
The lock on for aim assist yes…but don’t go past 12
Don't think this will work against sweats, yeah a standing still bot but someone actively moving past you breaking your camera, never possible
That’s when it actually works best..not when they aren’t moving
@AtxmYT id like to see it, I drop 15+ on area 99 most matches and this definitely doesn't help
omg I'm mnk and no wonder I'm just getting destroyed on every game. time to hang it up I guess
Being someone who plays one mouse and key, MAAAAN I'm so close to swapping g to controller. 😅
Getting killed by people who are blatantly not even aiming is frustrating...
Tighter is gud😂😂

Bro said "no diddy"
Your profile picture is funny as shit😭
3% is meta all pros use 3
There’s no such thing as a meta deadzone…everyone’s controller is diffy
What is the final result? I don't quite understand... 6 or 13?
6 is what I use…13 is just for the demonstration…the sweet spot and where you should be testing for yourself is between 5 and 12 no higher no lower
@AtxmYT 💚
But my deadzone is at 40
For your right stick min?
Can someone explain to this guy what rotational aim assist is 🤣
Can’t take a dude seriously with a 99 left stick max dead zone. Everyone and their mom plays on around 70
But that don’t mean they are right and it don’t mean they are right why dose cod set the deadzone at 10 if it’s supposed to be zero
The fact is half of the folk have no clue what they talking about
Deadzone is not how much u have to move ur stick it’s how sensitive ur stick is u can put it at 20 and it is still the same as zero it just not as sensitive
No one really understands it
@ people do understand it what r u talking about.
Yeah but now you have input lag with dead zone so high so when you turn to get me I already killed you
Not necessarily…there’s no input lag…if you’re too high with the deadzone then yea it’ll be hard but otherwise this adds an advantage
im wishin just for one day activision would put a normal aim assist on like Rainbow Siege and see whos who.
I’m with you on this…too much aim assist in a game isn’t good because people will use it as a crutch
@@AtxmYT aint hatin on roller players or anythin but on the longrun its bad even for their own progression in FPS games.
So sick of controller aim assist!! I play on keyboard and mouse. Why can't we have some kind of aim assist?
Cause you have your whole arm…but I do think aim assist is too strong and should get nerfed
what joke how controller players say aim assist doesnt work for them
When its so good why u keep playing on 6 deadzone then😂
Huh? Imma assume you mean If…but that’s just what works for me…in between 5 and 12 is the sweet spot
0 0 aim assist activated
I understand that aim(bot) assist is needed for console players. But seriously. How fun is it to play with? No skill at all.
And worst is PC players using controllers to have the assist. Yes they feel like they have too since they get to play against console players. I think it would be best if you could choose to play only against players on PC if you have PC. And to have controllers disabled on PC.
Fancy ahh video for no reason 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Well you commented so I did a good job
Bro What!!! Subscrided ASAP!!!!
PRECIATE IT
This the most faded shit ive heard yet as "setting" tips go
