The original spot is restricted for shooting. It's a actual set. They allowed only the art department team of the movie to the cave to take measurements of the rock to build a set.

this is a hillstation named kodaikanal in Tamilnadu . earlier the cave was called : "Devil's kitchen" and after Kamalhasan shot a song in his movie "Guna" in this cave, in 1991. this cave because popular in the name of Guna Cave. many tourist went to to the cave and many slipped and died officially 13 but many unofficial.. in 1998 entry to this cave was prohibited but still few groups went there unauthorized , risking their life.. from 2006, it was permenantly closed..
overall kodaikanal is a lovely hillstation in tamilnadu,

This cave was earlier known as Devil's Kitchen. Then, in 1991, Kamal Haasan's Guna movie was shot here. Hence it was named as Guna Cave.
The kamalhasan song played during the beginning is used perfectly in the movie. It gave Goosebumps moment at the climax
This kind of movie should seen in theatres because it's worth watching and first 40 minutes is nothing 🙃

Its possibly not as scary as i felt but as someone with fear of heights nd claustrophobia i held my breath throughout the movie after he fell!! It has traumatized me enough not to go to kodaikanal for a while! 😅

This movie should be watched in theatre.. Malayalam and Tamil connection in this movie made this one a biggest malayalam blockbuster movie in Tamil Nadu..We watched it for 3 times in the theatre itself..Worth every single rupee..
another reason is that there were no new Tamil movies in that meantime. So Manjummel Boys, Premalu and even Aavesham did well in Tamilnadu
