How To Install ezBEQ On A Raspberry Pi

- POST VIDEO NOTE: If you encounter an install problem with the minidsp software, do a full system update first then try again. Use the following commands:
sudo apt update
(Wait for it to finish)
sudo apt upgrade
(Type ‘y’ and wait for it to finish)
sudo reboot
(ssh back in after 30 seconds or so, then continue normally)
If you want to absolutely change your game when it comes to bass extension and truly use your tactile systems like bass shakers, buttkickers, crowsons, etc. ezBEQ is what you need!
Using it is just a few clicks before you start a show, adding huge content to enjoy! It's not just adding bass, it's not just adding a big house curve or even edding to your existing EQ. It's giving you MORE content that you couldn't play before. NOTE: The problem with the missing flash install command is fixed. It's no longer needed.
The very best and easiest way to run it is on a cheap raspberry pi.

Whew, finally got the courage to update from scratch. This video made it easy, as I was always intimidated to do it myself (I had a tech savy friend install my older version long time ago).
Excellent walk through, Only issue i had was i had to install the 64 bit versions of the OS lite and minidsp-rs. The 32bit versions didn't work for me on my Pi4, Other than that, painless install and up and running. Thank you!

Thanks for the walk through steps. I've been using EZBeq on a laptop hooked up to the mini DSP since the raspberry pi was over my head with the install. Now I will look into this again.

Excellent walk-through and explanation. For several months I've been using version 0.16.2 on my pi, and I've been hesitant to upgrade to the latest version since the older version still works (albeit with a few hiccups). I followed your instructions to a tee and just completed a clean install of version 0.1.9. The service is up and running, and I have to say it's a big improvement over 0.16.2. Thanks again for taking the time to make this excellent walk-through! @@COGuyStuff
2.0 coincidently just released an hour ago, you can do the update commands now :)
Is there a way to confirm the profile is actually loaded? I though the MiniDSP Device Console would show the filters. But it just shows everything at 0 despite being loaded.
As the docs detail, communication is only one way. The minidsp software will have no idea of anything done outside of itself. I can assure you it loads but if you really need to see for yourself just do a sweep with rew, load a filter and do another sweep to see.
