Every time I write, I put the number of words I've written on a separate google doc. It's helpful and honestly kind of fun to track, even though word count isn't my top priority in writing. 😊Thank you for sharing your strategy!
This was a great share. Compared to this, I'm just making it all up and/or guessing! 😊 What'll be very interesting is your end-of-year video comparing the plan to the actuality.
I wish I had the moxie to organize this efficiently. I stopped logging my words typed in each writing session because I found myself needing to edit certain things OUT later on... but hesitating & procrastinating to do so bc I felt like I was erasing so much progress. Now I simply call it a good day's work if I brainstorm characters, craft an amazing introduction, find ways to integrate writing techniques like similies or personification into my work, etc, etc. Can't help but wing it for the most part 🤷 To each their own. Respect 🙏.
Thank you for sharing your stragecy! I thought no one would do kind of like me. I have done like list of things I need to do like plan, first draft etc until the publishing. Then I fill out the slots with how much time I think I need for them. Also I do overlapping projects and like when my beta readers are reading book 1, i’m already working on book 2, planning book 3, writing book 1 of other series and so on. My plan is hopefully getting me to place to publish my debut novel in September 9th 2024
This is encouraging to see... I beat myself up sometimes if I don't write every. single. day. There are so many writing advice books and articles that suggest write write write and I think I burned myself out in the first 2 weeks in January :(
Hopefully it’ll be very encouraging for you to hear I went months without writing and still managed to write three books last year. And I haven’t written a word yet in 2024, but I think that’s okay because there’s something about winter that makes me wanna take it easier and do some resting. Without those rests, we def burn out, I've been there too. So give yourself grace, you've got this!
That is such an interesting way to do it. I don't have past numbers to reflect on based on the blocks you mentioned, but I think I'm going to keep this in mind for this year and track the different stages of writing to publication so I can use this method next year when planning for the year. Great idea and video!
Yeah it's a long term strategy that I had to get some data on first too, but I really like it so far! Hope you have fun tracking and figuring out your own favorite strategies!
Hey Sis ☺️❤️ I'm so glad to see you smiling. Been keeping you up in prayer 🙏🏾 Love ya Sis! Thanks so much for your Amazing Devotion to God, Loved One, and UA-cam Family. #keepitbalancedsis!
This actually made a lot of sense. I don't have the past me data that you have, but I struggle with time blindness so I've already been modifying HB90 for myself. I mostly work by days.
This is awesome! I love that you took what Sarra at Heart Breathings does and made it work for you. Sometimes we spent too much time trying to fit ourselves into a mold that just doesn't work for us. Anyway, this was a great suggestion for tracking progress this year and figuring out what our time really looks like.
This was very confusing and overwhelming to follow. I think I would have understood it better if it was less detailed on the reflection part and focused on the new time blocking plan you developed. I would love an update or maybe a written explanation in your newsletter? I am a subscriber to both your newsletter and UA-cam channel.

Love that strategy! I agree, it helps me too! :)

I like that strategy a lot, that's really cool!
I wrote five rough drafts last year about 680k words. If I could make a living at this that'd be perfect. Nearly done with book I. Love your videos.

@@BethanyAtazadeh thank you! ❤️
Do you have a "I need a break" block? Burnout sucks. Mindset matters.✌️ 😊
Whew! Fantastic! You’re busy. I have to watch the videos about the Butter 📕 Book. 😅
Love this!! So many things i want to apply. Thank you and continued prayers for you and your family.

So glad you liked it!
This has given me lots of ideas for calculating time blocks. Thank you. Blessings 🙏🏻
Yay! Glad it was helpful!

Thank you! So glad you liked it and that it made sense! :)
At first your plan seemed overwhelming. By the conclusion I understood its usefulness. Best wishes!
P.S. The finished books look beautiful.
Yay I'm so glad it made sense by the end, thank you! :)

What is Invicible Souls??! I feel like I've somehow missed the episodes you might have mentioned it. I don't remember seeing anything about it.
