I prayed tahajud one night all night while unemployed. I stayed up all night asking Allah for a job! Guess what? I had a job offer for a job I was rejected from like 9 months back via an email around fajr. Ma Sha Allah.
once it started raining. so i opened my window and started making dua, reaching out and catching the rain in my palms. i made dua for a job, and I finished dua and was about to go on a run - JUST as I put my hand on the door to leave, I had a call from two, really really really good jobs, alhamdulillah. TWO JOBS. and they BOTH said they looked at my cv and thought i was overqualified and my cv looked "impressive" - im only 18. also i made dua countless times in tahajjud and waited a while - but I loved that because Allah gave me a job at the right time, only after all my final exams finished even if I had to wait, so that I concentrate better for my exams. i love Allah, so much.
i ask whoever is reading this; please make dua for my loved ones hidayah. please make dua that Allah opens their hearts to the deen. please mention them in your sujoods and tahajjud duas. jazakallah khair, may Allah bless you all.
Asalam walaikum, am doing tahajud, but my mind is not calm, some trouble come in my life, i think becoz of my husband, i didn't kno whether my prayer is doing correct or not, my intention is right or not , am converted Islam.please dua for me.
I didn't know the first one is the most ideal one. When I wake up in the middle of the night, I go back to sleep and say I'll wake 30 or so minutes before fajr and then sleep only after fajr has finished or mostly after sunrise. If the first one is the most ideal, then I'll try and start doin that insha Allah.. it's hard but when we get a chance to do it, subhan Allah the feeling is pure contentment and happiness 😊
Al-Bukhaari (1131) and Muslim (1159) narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to him: “the dearest of prayer to Allah is the prayer of Dawood (peace be upon him). He used to sleep for half the night, get up and pray for one third of it, and sleep for one sixth of it, and he used to fast one day and not the next.”
Honestly choose that which has the highest success rate for you, once you develop a consistent schedule e.g a few months and your body is used to less sleep then you can try and make the switch. Also a tip for those who want to follow the first way is to sleep on your prayer mat(cannot be too comfortable, right side left side gives deeper sleep according to science, backed by hadiths too) and set Alarm or sit on your couch and sleep in that state for a while
JazaakkAllahkhair my brother, as a homeschooling mum of 4 and still breastfeeding, hubby works nights 7 nights a week, waking up lots of times in the night for baby, started making excuses for myself, but Allah is so merciful and Grant's us ease. May Allah forgive me, thankyou for the reminder.

If you haven't been able to feel that khushoo during your salah. Listen... Before you start your Salah, remember who you were praying to. The same one who you asked for the impossible. The same one who you prayed tahajjud to. Is the same one, we are praying salah to. Khushoo isn't just about being present. Khushoo is about feeling that connection that you have with your Allah subhanahu Wa Ta'ala♥️. That connection is outside of your salah as well. When you make Dua talk to Allah subhanahu Wa Ta'ala like He is your friend. So when you pray your salah, it feels like you're talking to your friend. Because that's what salah is. And when we are in sujood, we are the closest to Allah subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. That we will ever be in this Duniya. So my brothers and sisters use this opportunity to feel the halawa (sweetness of imaan) to feel that khushoo. May Allah subhanahu Wa Ta'ala make it easy for us. May Allah subhanahu Wa Ta'ala accept our repentance, our fast, our salah, our dua's. Ameen!

Many years ago the first night i became a convicted prisoner i stood all night and prayed to Allah for forgiveness and after about a hour i felt a weight leave my body and i couldnt hold back my tears coming from a man whi never cried normally and sometimes hearing of peoples deaths would not shed a single tear. The prayer of the night is the most powerful and all praise is for Allah swt.
I sleep after school, wake up for asr, magrib and Esha, then I TRY (yes I've done it) to keep my wudu for some hours until 2:00 then I do tahajjud then sleep some more, then wake up for Fajr and go to school and repeat, so there's 4 💀
The second option is more ideal for those who have family responsibilities or jobs during the night Going to sleep aFter esha is only suitable when esha is around 9 or 10pm

Just casually mentioning sleeping likes it easy... I have problems sleeping, missing the fajr prayer way to often due to sleeping problems. If only sleeping was this easy I'd wake up more happily.

Fajr in my place is about 5 am, I set my alarm at 3, I go to sleep right after Isya' or 1 hour after if I still have something to do. This way I usually wakes up between 1am to 3am, do tahajjud for 1 hour or so, and then have a light sleep for few minutes

I tried doing tahajjud for the first time last night but I was drowsy because I stayed up late . It's better to sleep like he said wake up after Isha but before fajr.
