Very good introduction to the Canary Islands. Initially I thought of flying but the cruise option is appealing. Happy belated birthday Monique from Mississauga 🇨🇦
D and M, your Video Title worked! I saw it and thought this was your Last Video....😂😂. Seems you could have added "In 2024".😂😂. I too am not fond of cruising for all of your reasons and more. JP Porto
Hello JP! Ha ha yes we had that on it…. Then it looked too busy- so he took it off. Ha ha we are not that intentional about click bait but I see what you mean! Glad you watched and we’ll have to chat about cruising sometime. Happy Holidays 🎄! M&D
I loved Dough's definition of "floating retirement home." 🤣😅Spanish would be very easy for me; "Castellano" is the official language in Argentina, where I lived a lot of years before coming in 2021 to Coimbra. I’m a fan of Portugal and hope to make it to Funchal for the 1st of January 2025 fireworks! 🤣
Hello! Ha ha…. Yes I think we are a little too young for that!! Yes- we hope you make it here as well for the 2025 fireworks!! Thanks for watching! Happy Holidays 🎄! M&D
Very nice video ~ thank you. I had planed a cruise to the Canaries, then Covid came. So that trip was $4000 cruise plus airfare from Phoenix, AZ. Had to cancel it all. So your video was very nice. Thank you again and Best Wishes for 2025 (ugh...those years fly by). Grant
Hello! The terms expat and immigrant both describe people living outside their home country, but they differ in context: • Expat: Typically refers to people from wealthier countries who move abroad temporarily or for lifestyle reasons, often with financial stability and less focus on integration. • Immigrant: Refers to people relocating for permanent settlement, often for work, family, or to escape hardship, with an emphasis on long-term integration. The distinction often depends on intent, privilege, and perception. Happy Holidays 🎄! M&D

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.. and yes Madeira is just a very beautiful island.
Cruise ships are so big nowadays I called them a floating island.
Merry Christmas guys and thanks for this informative video 👍
Great video. Merry Christmas to you both. I can't wait to visit Madeira again in March 2025. It's such a beautiful place.
Happy birthday
