I struggled with this little chip for like a hour before I realized I had the wrong tip on the soldering iron SMH but in the end I won & fixed my nephew's Switch.
the 2r2 broke off out of mine for somereason, should i get a brand new replacement for it? No shops near me are willing to fix it at all and im not that great at soldering, any tips?
I would get the replacement it's pretty cheap then just watch videos to learn how to fix it that's what I did & I just seen my nephew today he was playing his Switch it's like new again. So I would go for it

Not sure if you're still reading this..but did you just use regular solder to fix it?
It's the solder that came with a kit so it's pretty much standard but you should make sure the one you have is for electronics
@@onQQuincy they need a magnetic connection there too...but I think a new chip comes with magnetic pads on it maybe
