I agree stuff like 200 dollar digital collectors and 500 dollars skins are crazy.
I LOVE ALAN WAKE 2 and i saw that price too. the lamp is cool, ngl. but like..WHY DIDINT THEY GIVE US A PHYSICAL SOUDTRACK ? OLDS GODS OF ASGARD(POETS OF THE FALL) AND THE OTHER SONGS? THE SOUNDTRACK WAS INCREDIBLE. that would of of made 200 worth it
If it came with a Vinyl soundtrack I would’ve bought it instantly

If they ain't discounted, I don't buy anymore, shit gets too expensive and greedy
Alan Wake gives quite a lot for $200 considering the game is $70. However, when it comes to digital editions, it's stuff that comes out later or can be bought individually.

Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤ When you know the physical DVD is often missing and replaced by a code with the excuse that it’s easier for shipping (like the dvd is the only element to difficult for shipping) for Diablo4 and a bunch of games, they can keep all their collectors and stupid 3 day early acces. It became a Schalke long time ago.

I know that I in the minority, but the few games that I play I tend to have thousands of hours in them. I figure if I pay $100 for a special edition it's a better deal than buying a $15 movie ticket.
I mean I love a good special edition when it feels worth it. It really just depends on the game and what the edition comes with.
How do you feel about $200 USD? Many of these are now between $100-$200. The Alan Wake 2 Collectors for me in Canada would be around $250-$280 after conversion and Outlaws was $192 with taxes. I do think Outlaws is pretty steep. But if I put hours and hours into the game and it brings me a ton of joy, and if people enjoy the content, it will definitely be worth it. :) Do you think there is a price cap in regards to what you'd be willing to spend? Does it depend on the game?
I think it really depends if you are a fan of the game. If you follow the series, studio or director that can make a difference. I'm like that.
@@VampX13 I agree that it's expensive, unfortunately in some cases prohibitively so. I'm probably biased because I'm kind of slow to give new titles a shot. I think the problem arises when game developers stop supporting titles early on and leave the consumers holding the bag on an expensive, buggy dud like Anthem Legion on Dawn Edition. The legacy model of selling games is changing and that's usually met with resistance because it's the consumers getting the short end of the stick compared to what came before. I remember getting used EA Sports games from Game Stop, and one year after I loaded up the game I had to kick EA an additional fee to connect to their server. You wouldn't have to dish out extra money to Peter Jackson if you get gifted a Lord of the Rings box set.
As for my personal price cap, there probably isn't a price cap to what I'll pay for a GTA or Elder Scrolls game. I've been putting insane amounts of hours to every game in those series for almost 25 years now. However, if Peter Molyneux tells me that he's offering pre orders for the greatest game ever and tells me that the deluxe edition is $200, I'll sit that one out.

Just buy games on sale like a normal person.
