    Well I would of thought that the vigemite would have scared the flies off not attracted them, must be Australian flies......lol

      I just need to teach you how to eat it mate. Most other Ozzies take great delight in letting visitors vomit.

      It was a popular breakfast item in a outback bush camp I worked in, I tried it a few times, I think you have to be born in Australia to like it....lol

    Good trap, I think I have a wasp trap that looks like that I will have to try it. Do you think Bovril or Marmite and sugar would work ?

      Should do - or even bread yeast if you have it.

    Hope that controls the nasty things. I still don't think we have the kind of fruit fly that you have but this summer for the first time something stung a lot of my winter squash. I've been told there is something called the squash Beatle. Whatever it is I had never seen this kind of damage before.

      Insects like that a just plain painful.
