Thank you for your informative video.. Explanation was really great.. Here you have used S7-1500 and et200.. I want to know that is communication and programming same for S7-1200 and ET200SP.. Also how about working with normal ethernet (cat-6) cable..
hello sir! hope you safe and sound.. want to ask...🙏🙇 should the CPU to connect the ET200 is S7-1500? how about S7-1200? is it OK? thank you, Sir.. hope your day as bright as the Sun🌄
It's been really great experience learning Siemens feom your videos. Could you please do exactly same video on Profibus DP with some third party devixe using GSD file?
Hello! Great video, a quick question, if you need to change the configuration of the remote module either by adding a card or changing an analog card input from 2 wire to 4 wire, does this require a whole new hardware download or can it be done without stopping the PLC?
Question!? I have RIO ET200sp With a DI 16x24v st DQ1 6x24vdc/0.5v st AI 2xu/i 2-/4-wire HF They all have light base All connect to power from the same power supply My unit connects but the DQ and the AI modules are blinking red lights I changed everything physically new stuff so i know the error is my program but i cant find it. Everything matches :(
Hey Hega Whats could be the point of using only rmodules(upper parts) without lower parts (Inputs and Outputs) for ET200 extra modules such as for example Technology ones?
Hi what configuration your pc or laptop, Bcoz when I installed TIA portal in laptop is get slowdown in speed. Your's is working very fast, can suggest me the configuration it will helpful for me. Thank you
Thanks so much! Question: How are your devices connected? Are both your IO device and computer plugged into the "X1" ports of your S1500? Or are all your parts connected to a router or something?
I would say yes, that @Hegamurl could do it that way since he's only connecting a computer and the ET200. However, if you wanted to connect a second ET200, you would be out of ports on the particular S1500 he is using. In that instance you'd need a switch. Profinet is compatible with standard ethernet switches as long as the switch is 100mbit or better and full-duplex. That means you can link your computer, PLC, and three ET200s to a $20 5-port netgear switch from Amazon and everything would happily talk to each other. Of course, not all switches are built equal and you probably don't want to use a $20 netgear switch in an industrial application, but hopefully it demonstrates the point :)
Hi, great video. With S7 1215C I know maximum number of signal modules in local rack is 8. When you connect it to ET200 SP does it mean you can add 64 more modules or the 8 is inclusive of distributed IO (i.e total for both local and distributed IO shouldn't exceed 8 signal modules)?
I would like to know the same thing. But I think TIA portal will answer this for us. If you can configure many IO devices (more than 8 modules) in Tia, then it should be the same in real life. No?
You could address maximum of 1024bytes for input and 1024 bytes for output in 1200 CPUs. That means: 1024 Analog I/O (8bytes) or 1024*8=8192 Digital I/O or a combination of those which should not exceed 1024bytes.
Thanks for making such an informative video. In this the i/o addresses of peripheral were automatically given by the plc on downloading. But in case we had already installed one IM and it got faulty and we have to replace it. Now, what if the plc gives some I/O addresses not according to the ones we have already used in the plc program's ladder logic? How can we directly give them addresses before downloading?
Hi!! Could you explain how to transfer and read data with the instructions DPRD_DAT/ DPRW_DAT ? For array data or structs with boolean data. How to safe them in a DB. How to call each data individually and read them through from a GSD. Thank you for all :D
Hi do you also have tutorials of this subject but then with WLAN communication. My problem is that hardwired I have no problems with recognizing the IO-Device (Sick OLM200) but when I put them on WLAN (Anybus AWB2030) sometimes they are recognized but most of the time not.
Both good questions! The amount of modules you can connect depends on the type of the external I/O... the one I used in the video can have up to 64 Modules (including the Interface module and power modules), so it can grow very big. But different hardware would of course have other modules limits. The one I have has a mandatory memory slot, where it saves the module data... without it, it won't run. But again... different modules will have different requirements and most of them don't have a Memory Card Slot
Hi, Thanks for making these nice and clear videos Can you please make a video for below blocks, DPRD_DAT, DPDR_DAT, CNT_CTL1 How this pointer addressing works ??? Can TIA Portal assign IP adress to ET200 automatically? I can not understand why have you assigned IP adress to this device twice? Coudn't you do it just once?
Even Siemens can't explain like you ! Your really a good teacher ! Thank-you !!!
Thanks😁
@@hegamurl7434 really you are great in explaining the concept
Got a project dropped on me at work today. Pretty new to Tia portal, this video saved me thank you!
this guy is genius i love his teaching so clear big up bro
Thanks man!

You are really good teacher. An excellent tutorial.
Thanks. Hegamurl.
That's helped me in my migration.

How to do a backup of a PLC which include an ET200 in the same net.?
Thank you so much for share the knowledge.

excellent tutorials , Keep up the great work
Hi, Very well described the point. I would like to know how these all devices connected to each other physically. A simple diagram is just fine for me
That was excellent

Um here's a beginner question..
Is the decentralized/peripheral IO and IO LINK MASTER the same thing
Is it possible to simulate ET200 and S7 CPUs in PLCSIM without and physical devices?

also confusing for me. Once it's .144, the other time it's .145...
You have to set the profinet device name. IP settings are written form the plc.
I think this Hegamurl's video should help answer that question: ua-cam.com/video/2whkK_jgDOU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Hegamurl
