Fixed my cruise control this way for only €50!! 2 tips for anyone watching this in the future:
1: the bottom bit of plastic covering the steering wheel has 3 screws. 1 in the bottom which he unscrews and 2 next to the steering wheel on the top left and right. You want to unclip the top part and then you can access the other 2 screws instead of pulling on the bottom you have to pull on the top. Idestroyed 1 of my plastic brackets pulling a little bit too hard while these other 2 screws were still in.
2: for him the clockspring/cruisecontrol part slides off easily. It should be tightened. On the back end there is a metal clamp ring with a bolt. Untighten this bolt to release the clamp and when installing the new one make sure to clamp it down again!

Thanks for this upload man! I have a 2005 seat ibiza mk3 and my main beam is stuck on permanently and I need to replace the same part as you! For now I have taken out the F21 RH main beam and the F22 LH main beam fuses so I’m not blinding anyone. Only snag is I only have dip beam. I have ordered the part and I will be using your video to fit it! Your a legend buddy, THANK YOU

Have the same issue with my Ibiza, turn signals work fine but the headlight beams don't... The spring works and it stays in place but when I push it nothing happens. Thought about doing the work myself but after seeing your video I see it's a lotta work hahaha

Your video helped me a lot! my speedometer was broken on the old steering column switch!
Especially the big connector i would not have figured out how to detatch.
Btw, the bottom cover only properly goes off after removing the steering wheel. Once you remove the top cover completely you have enought space to unclip the airbag with a screwdriver from the top.

Just done this on a MK4.
Really appreciate this video, it's helped a lot.
The only downside is my steering wheel controls now don't work.
Wondering if they need to be re-coded to work?
Checked all connections, wiring etc.
Kinda stuck for ideas.

Good explanatory video. I have a seat ibiza 6J model with the new seat badge. My horn stopped working, I'm guessing the airbag and horn are connected in that box you removed which has to be detached and its wiring investigated. Cause sometimes it works sometimes not.
