After installing the head unit the MIL light (check engine) is continuously on. When I try to read the codes with VCDS I don‘t have any failure codes that should result in a MIL lamp. CAN box is conntected (also the yellow-brown little connector between CAN box and Radio), plus the red-orange cable is disconnected like you showed at 09:54. Did you have any similar problems? 🤷 I like your video, thanks for the tutorial! 👍
It worked! It took a while to eradicate the failure code from the car, then I simply disconnected the battery and tried to conncect the head unit again. Now, after plenty of ignition cycles and a couple of test-km I don’t have any “engine errors” on the dashboard. Let’s pray it stays this way… 🙏🏻😁

He quitado el óptico trasero por no llega entender en qué cables tengo que conectarlo y como hacerlo. Gracias Edito: Al final he podido conectar la cámara trasera. Hay que hacerlo en el foco trasero, pero en la luz de marcha atrás, y unir dos cables para que le dé la señal al otro. Diría que ha sido lo más complicado, pero con paciencia se hace.
I just did this install on my 2013 Ibiza FR last week, same unit. Unfortunately the steering wheel buttons don't work anymore and with the rear camera, it only works with the engine not running, because as soon as the engine runs, the video signal is lost. I'm in contact with the vendor in China but not getting much help due to his broken English probably translated with Deepl. Also this radio is very slow until on line after starting the car. Will probably return it.
Find positive wire from reverse lights, this puls goes to the multimedia or camera, some multimedia doesnt need this trigger wire. Connect as i did in the video and it will work

For picture you need video cable.. and red wire for sign, but only if your car doesn't have CANBus! If you have it, multimedia will be switching to the camera automaticly by changing in to reverse gear.

You should turn in reverse and measure with voltmeter.. second option is, you can remove the tail light, and check the conncetion from bulb to the connector

For camera you should install the camera cable from multimedia up to the camera. This is most complicated part. From the headlights you should find + terminal from reverse. That’s it.
hi. On the camera wires I connected the red one to the reverse gear wire and the black one to the minimum ground wire and on the radio I only connected the yellow connector. It doesn't work, the image appears with interference and nothing is seen. Any tips?. And great video
For some models you should connect on multimedia extra red wire, for this model, you should connect only 12V from Reverse light, the camera starts working and send the singal to the miltimedia, if it doesnt work, try to connect the camera with 12v battery

u need to find the switch of an older model where the hazard light assembly is near the gear stick and then get a relocation harness to set the wires up.

good news bad news. I disconnected everything and reconnected it and the speakers started working. However the screen is draining my battery even tho the red and yellow cable is disconnected. Any ideas?
If i disconnect the orange and red cable ny radio powers off. If i disconnect the other red orange cable which is connected with a red and black smaller cable ny radio doesn't turn off when i get my keys out. How do i need to fix this?

It should go on facelift also, you have more connectors its should work on each..

Try to remove clips.. because this can damage your battery.. it will always working..

If you need gps, wifi and more, than use expencive on.. all works great and you pay more only for extra functions. (Camera, gps, wifi, GB memory)

I forgot to take a video about wires.. check with multimeter.. one is ground(COM) , and other are positive for each lamp=1 contacts.

Hi, hab mir das selbe gekauft und wollte dich mal fragen ob du das multifunktions lenkrad benutzen kannst. nur falls du eins hast.
Dieses Auto besitzt leider keine Tasten am Lenkrad, du muss in Menü finden, und taste programmieren
Moin, die Software da drauf und mit dem CAN BUS Adapter kannst du die Lenkradsteuerung nutzen sowie auch die Tasten umlegen

I’ve just installed one of these unit but the issue I’m having is whenever i play something the sound only comes from the front two tweeters speakers. Do you know why. I’ve tried changing the settings but that didn’t work,

@@Drxxx I’ve tried adjusting that however it doesn’t turn the door speakers on. My connection seems all correct and the same as yours. Ive seen other people speak about having this problem but can’t find a solution anywhere.

good news bad news. I disconnected everything and reconnected it and the speakers started working. However the screen is draining my battery even tho the red and yellow cable is disconnected. Any ideas?

If i disconnect the orange and red cable ny radio powers off. If i disconnect the other red orange cable which is connected with a red and black smaller cable ny radio doesn't turn off when i get my keys out. How do i need to fix this?
