so Razor Bucks, what about carrying things up to it and installing something, like a heavy painting? Also, you immediately noticed the Box 1 and Box 1, not to mention the really thin and general instructions. Were they enough to explain the 2 Box 1's and put everything else together? It seems more complicated than what was in that think pamphlet. Also, can you add on to the height with an additional set?
I use it for my ceiling fan regular. The fan is at the 16' level approximately. I think it would be a lot easier to hang a picture using this scaffolding, because you can be right on the wall. I am using two 6' sets combined together, but I would strongly advise against going any higher without outriggers. You can purchase a safety top with fencing, if you are concerned about being up so high without any gating. I agree with the difficulty in bringing things up, but if you are using more than one set, you should place what ever you need to bring up on the first platform and then climb on the inside to the second platform with smaller items like paint. For larger items, you need to have your spotter help you lift it up on the side, with you on the top platform and your helper on the first platform. It was somewhat difficult to build, but not really that bad, I would put it at a 2.5 out of 5 for difficulty. It can be done alone, but a helper will make things go so much easier. The directions were not great, but easy enough to figure out what the goal was. Keep the box, the pictures will help on the parts where the manual is deficient.

Both the scaffolding and a good helper are definitely worth their weight in gold. Please do keep in mind that the floor pass through is not the greatest and does not open very far. I contacted metal tech and was told the engineers designed it that way for a reason. When I pressed about safety and it not opening all the way / having to hold it open to pass through, I received no valid response. I always climb on the outside of mine, but not everyone wants to do that, especially when you are 12’ in the air. I like them, but I also want to be honest about their flaw.

I bought the outriggers and the safety side rails as well. Can I touch the ceiling 20 feet with two? I have several light fixtures, fans and painting to do in my new home.
It is a matter of personal comfort, I feel very safe, but my wife panics at slight movements on the second tier, but she is comfortable on the first tier. I cannot reach peak of my ceilings with two units. With outriggers and a safety platform, I think you will feel safe and confident.
I saw they make a 39” extension to go onto the last full scaffold. I bought this and hope it won’t be too high for my 20 foot ceiling. Now I need to know which outrigger set would be best?
@@dralf2020 Why would you think you could reach 20Ft with just 2 of these? They are 6Ft each so that makes 12ft! You would have to be like 7 Ft tall to reach 20'! Very easy to use. I think it is stable, but you may have a different feeling for stability than I, it does wiggle a little when walking around. I use it a few times per year and do not regret buying it.
All in all, it works as expected; easy, but of course somewhat heavy, to assemble. It doesn't really sway, as long as you're on an flat leveled hard surface. I plan on purchasing another one, to add on to the existing one, so that my wife can use it when ever she wants.

They really are sturdy units and safe, if you operate them properly.
Very disappointed. I bought one of these. I did not like the trap door opening at all. The design is poor. The door opening is limited by a flexible strap which is not long enough for the door to stay open. The only way to keep it open is to use one of my hands. Then I only have one hand left to climb up the sides for a ladder. Impossible for a straight up ladder. I watched the video to see how you went through the door, because I can''t figure it out. You didn't show this. It shows how to open the door. Next you are on top. How did you get through it? Why didn't you show this, the most critical part? I have ended up using a ladder which mounts on the end. I tie it to the scaffolding at the top with bailing wire so it won't slip. I then drilled holes in a 2x4 to mount a support pole to help me transition from the ladder to the scaffolding floor, which is about a foot below the top--low enough so that the top cross beam is awkwardly high. The scaffold is nice, but it has a lot of drawbacks. I had hoped your video would have showed how to solve one of then and that issue, as important as it is, was not shown. A thumbs up if you had shown this, but as it is, a thumbs down.
Thank you for the comment. I never use the pass-through door, I always climb up from the side. I agree with the door strap, it is way too short. I am sorry you thumbs down on a manufacturing issue, that I agree with you on. However, as I said, I do not use it, but my children do and I hold it open for them.
They make a 20 dollar product that will wrap around the blades...and literally take you ten minutes to clean....you seriously got a scaffold for cleaning your fan...bro, go return it
My blades are ~16' in the air; the vacuum does not reach that high. @@RazorBucks Have you done the ceiling drywall removal yet?
However, we also used/use this for installing new light fixtures, painting, cleaning, etc. It is very useful for our projects for high ceiling home. Next year we will be removing all the ceiling drywall and replacing it with new and this will be very helpful for that project.
@@RazorBucks Have you done the ceiling drywall removal yet? I follow the Home Renovision channel and he suggested an eye-opening (to me) idea... since I want to remove my popcorn ceiling (but applies to removing the actual drywall too). Don't remove the old at all. Just mark where your rafters are and install the new drywall right over (under!) the old! Kind of smart when you think about it. Saves a ton of overhead labor. You won't really notice your ceiling being 1/2 or 3/4 inch lower. HTH
🤣🤣🤣🤣amature
Yeap. Maybe you can show us how it is done professionally?
