Thieves using truck to steal ATM; Surveillance video

Surveillance video shows thieves using a truck to steal an ATM from a pub in Issaquah early Thursday morning.
The ATM was stolen just before 3:30 a.m. from Joker Pub and Grill. The pub is located on the 5600 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, which is less than a half mile east of Lake Sammamish State Park.
Surveillance video from the front of the business shows a person breaking out a window. Three people can then be seen grouped together attaching a chain or rope from a blue truck to the ATM. One person can be seen getting back into the truck and driving off, ripping part of the front window from the building.
The truck then backs up to the building and appears to try and rip the ATM from the building again, but the chain unhooks from the vehicle. The driver of the truck then backs into the front of the business, creating a large hole in the building.
After breaking through the front of the business, the thieves were able to use the truck to rip the ATM from inside the pub and drag it into the parking lot. Two people can then be seen putting the ATM into the bed of the truck before it drives away.
People who work in the area were shocked to hear something like this happened. “That’s wild, that’s not something that usually happens in an area like this I’d expect that more down south," said Scott Hill, who works at Tuscan Stone Pizza just across the street.
